YS Jagan’s Anakapalle Roadshow Denied, Police Suggest Helicopter Ride

YS Jagan, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has become an increasingly rare sight in public, limiting his weekly visits primarily to party meetings and occasional visits to jailed YCP leaders.

Recently, he planned a public event in Anakapalle to visit the government medical college. The program, however, is now under uncertainty as the police department has raised safety concerns.

Jagan had intended to conduct a roadshow from Vizag to Makavarapalem as a show of strength. However, the police denied permission for the roadshow and suggested a helicopter ride instead. The precautionary measure is influenced by recent incidents like the Karur stampede during Thalapathy Vijay’s event, with authorities aiming to prevent any potential risks to public safety.

This is not the first time roadshows involving Jagan have faced difficulties. During his visit to Sattenapalli, a couple of people tragically lost their lives. To avoid repeating such incidents, the police have strictly advised against the road tour.

It remains to be seen how the YCP leadership will respond to these instructions, especially as Jagan had already instructed party workers to make elaborate arrangements for the October 9 tour.
