YS Sharmila has been moving all the pieces to establish her party in Telangana very soon. July 8th has been locked as the date when Sharmila would officially launch her party. She has, in the meantime, decided to go on a hunger strike for three days, against the Telangana government.
Sharmila decided to take up a 3-day hunger strike, demanding for the Telangana government to issue job notifications to fill 1.91 Lakh job vacancies in the government. Sharmila said that her hunger strike would continue until the Telangana government releases the job notifications.
For this purpose, Sharmila requested the Telangana police for permission to conduct her three-day hunger strike from April 15 to 18 at Dharna Chowk near Indira Park in Hyderabad. However, the police department gave her just a day’s permission for her strike, on April 15th from 10 AM to 5 PM, shocking her.
Following this shocker by the police department, Sharmila is said to have decided to continue her hunger strike for the remaining two days at her Lotus Pond residence in Hyderabad.
