YSR Congress Party is working on building a comprehensive digital database to capture detailed information about its cadre base. The initiative, driven by Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, aims to establish a direct connection between grassroots workers and the party headquarters in Tadepalli, reducing reliance on intermediary leaders.
As part of this effort, the party has begun verifying Cadre ID cards and assigning a unique identification number to each member. The process is already nearing completion in several constituencies, with Gurajala reportedly achieving 99% verification, while Punganuru and Proddatur have also shown significant progress.
Once the database is fully operational, the leadership will be able to track ground-level activity more effectively. It is expected to provide insights into cadre performance, internal group dynamics, and the overall political situation in each constituency. The system will also help identify inactive regions, prompting the leadership to engage with local leaders and make necessary organizational changes.
In addition, the party plans to communicate directly with cadre members regarding programs and initiatives, while also using IVRS calls to gather feedback on party performance and constituency-level leadership.
To further strengthen engagement, the YSR Congress is introducing a ranking system aimed at fostering a competitive spirit among constituencies. However, some areas are lagging behind in the verification drive, prompting Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy to stay in constant touch with local leaders through teleconferencing.
The party believes that its future electoral prospects depend on moving away from a leader-centric structure toward a more cadre-driven model. With an eye on the 2029 elections, Jagan Mohan Reddy appears determined to avoid another setback, especially given the challenges of sustaining a regional party through prolonged opposition and ongoing legal pressures.
