Ace filmmaker Karan Johar surprised everyone with a fun revelation on social media—he has found a new love, and it’s none other than ChatGPT. In a light-hearted Instagram story, Karan joked that he now considers the AI tool his “new lover.”

He admitted that he took some time to warm up to artificial intelligence, but has now grown quite fond of it. His humorous line, hoping it’s not “ek tarfa pyar,” suggested he wishes the love isn’t one-sided and that ChatGPT “loves him back.”

Karan’s post read:
“Chat GPT is my new lover… I took a while to warm up to this force… now I am in love! Deeply… I hope it’s not ek tarfa pyar, I want Chat GPT to love me back…”

As always, Karan mixed humor with style; in his next story, he shared a chic mirror selfie to go along with the playful confession.

On the work front, Karan Johar’s latest production Homebound premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on May 21. The film reportedly received a nine-minute standing ovation.

Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, the film has also been selected as India’s official entry for Best International Feature Film for the 98th Academy Awards.

Starring Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor, Homebound follows the emotional journey of two childhood friends striving to clear the national police exam.
