Popular singer Kalpana was reportedly rushed to the hospital after a drug overdose incident. According to sources, the overdose stemmed from a dispute with her elder daughter, who resides in Kerala. Kalpana had asked her to visit Hyderabad, but her daughter declined, choosing to stay in Kerala. However, Kalpana’s younger daughter, who lives in Hyderabad, clarified that it was not a suicide attempt but a result of a slight overdose of sleeping pills.

She stated, “My mother is not facing any issues and is perfectly fine. She’s currently pursuing her LLB and PhD. She suffers from insomnia, and it was just a slight overdose. We are all well and happy. Please don’t misconstrue the situation.”

Kalpana reportedly took the pills around 3 PM on Tuesday. Her husband, Prasad, called her at 4:30 PM and, receiving no response, alerted the villa secretary to check on her. When they couldn’t get a response, the police were called, and upon breaking in, they found Kalpana unconscious in her bedroom. She was immediately rushed to the hospital, and the police are continuing to investigate the incident.
