Kajol Likely to Join Prabhas–Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who delivered consecutive Bollywood blockbusters like Kabir Singh and Animal, appears set to continue his strong association with Hindi stars in his upcoming ventures. His next film, Spirit, features Prabhas in the lead role, with Tripti Dimri already confirmed as the female lead.
Recently, reports suggested that Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor had been cast in a key role, but she promptly denied the rumours, clarifying that she is not part of this much-anticipated cop drama. The film’s shooting formalities have already begun in Hyderabad.
The latest industry buzz indicates that acclaimed actress Kajol has been approached for a pivotal role in Spirit. Sources reveal that Kajol was impressed with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s narration and has given her nod to the project. Although an official confirmation is awaited, the news has quickly gained traction across media circles. If finalized, Spirit will mark Kajol’s debut in Telugu cinema. While she has previously acted in Tamil films, she has never been a part of a Telugu project.
Kajol, one of Bollywood’s most celebrated performers with a strong fan base across South India, is expected to receive a meaty, author-backed role—true to Sandeep Reddy’s signature storytelling approach. Her husband, Ajay Devgn, already made his Telugu debut with SS Rajamouli’s RRR. The film’s cast also includes Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi, whose participation was revealed via the special Spirit sound release on Prabhas’ birthday.
