Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon Set for Hindi Release on March 14
Pradeep Ranganathan, who rose to fame as an actor with Love Today, has solidified his position as a bankable star in the South with the success of Dragon. Now, the much-anticipated Hindi dubbed version of the film is set to release on March 14, 2025.
Interestingly, the makers have been cautious this time, learning from their past experience with Love Today. While the Tamil film was a success and its Telugu-dubbed version also performed well, the Hindi remake, Loveyapa, featuring Junaid Khan and Kushi Kapoor, failed to resonate with the audience and ended up as a disaster at the box office. The remake did not capture the original’s essence, leading to its downfall.
With Dragon, the team has taken a different approach. Though the film appears to be a youthful drama on the surface, it carries a strong and relevant theme for today’s generation. Director Ashwath Marimuthu skillfully balanced the narrative, ensuring it remained engaging without becoming overly preachy.
Given the success of Dragon, the demand for a Hindi remake is bound to rise. However, understanding that a remake might dilute the film’s impact, the makers have opted for a direct Hindi-dubbed release instead.
The film stars Kayadu Lohar and Anupama Parameswaran as the female leads, with music composed by Leone James. Produced under the AGS Entertainments banner, Dragon is now set to reach a wider audience across India.
