The much-anticipated action film Dragon, starring Jr NTR and directed by Prashanth Neel, is shaping up to be a massive cinematic spectacle. Adding to the buzz, Anil Kapoor is reportedly in talks to play the primary antagonist, which has further heightened expectations around the project.

According to industry sources, the film’s release may be pushed to late 2026 to accommodate its grand scale and extensive production requirements. It was initially planned for a June release. Interestingly, Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel were recently spotted together in Mumbai, reportedly for key discussions and pre-production work, fuelling excitement among fans.

Meanwhile, rising actress Rukmini Vasanth, known for her association with Kantara: Chapter 2, has been roped in as the female lead opposite Jr NTR. Her inclusion has added fresh appeal to the already star-studded project.

Prashanth Neel’s previous film, Salaar starring Prabhas, was a major success, and its sequel Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryanga Parvam is expected to go on floors only after the completion of Dragon.
