The much-awaited project featuring S. S. Rajamouli and Superstar Mahesh Babu is shaping up to be a grand cinematic spectacle. Tentatively referred to as Varanasi, the film has already generated massive buzz after its glimpse release last year.

Currently, the shoot is progressing in Hyderabad, where a massive Varanasi-themed set has been specially constructed for key sequences. Adding to the excitement, Priyanka Chopra is said to be playing a powerful, action-oriented role named Mandakini. Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is reportedly appearing in dual roles as Rudra and Lord Rama, promising a visually rich and performance-driven experience.

At present, scenes featuring Rudra and Mandakini are being filmed, along with Prithviraj Sukumaran, who plays a crucial character. After wrapping up high-octane action portions earlier, Rajamouli is now focusing on lighter, playful, and teasing moments between the lead characters, set against the recreated Varanasi backdrop.

Known for delivering larger-than-life films like RRR and Baahubali: The Beginning, Rajamouli once again aims to blend grand scale with compelling storytelling. The combination of Mahesh Babu and global star Priyanka Chopra further elevates expectations for this ambitious project.

The film is being produced by K. L. Narayana and S. S. Karthikeya, with music composed by Oscar-winning M. M. Keeravani. With such a powerhouse team on board, the film is slated for a grand theatrical release on April 7, 2027, promising an epic cinematic experience.
