Is Bandi Sanjay eclipsing other senior leaders in the BJP? After winning two back-to-back elections soon after taking over as the telangana BJP president, Sanjay has now emerged as the strongest leader in the BJP. He is now being seen as a daring and dashing leader, who takes risks.
This is in stark contrast to the earlier presidents, who rarely ventured out of Hyderabad and did not even bother to attend meetings in the rural areas. Sanjay has been quite pro-active ever since he took over. The Central leadership too is appreciative of his work and even PM Narendra Modi spoke to him and lauded his efforts. This was a huge boost of image for Sanjay. His verbal attacks on the TRS leaders, including KCR, have proved to be big hits.
All this is not exactly an eye-feast for the older leaders. At least three former presidents are said to be quite unhappy at the rise of Bandi Sanjay. Till the GHMC elections, they were reportedly putting spokes in the work of Bandi Sanjay. But soon after, Modi’s congratulatios have had the desired effect on these leaders and they have become silent now.
