BJP’s different promises for different states raise a question on its credibility!

West Bengal Assembly elections is one of the much-awaited polls in the country which will be held this year. The Assembly elections will be held for all the 294 constituencies.

Ahead of the elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has started a Yatra in the poll-bound state on Thursday. The Poribortan Yatra launched by Amit Shah marks the fifth Yatra.

Amit Shah has started the ‘Poriborton Yatra’ at Indira Maidan as part of his two-day political tour. At the Yatra, Amit Shah said, the BJP is bound to change the situation in West Bengal.

The Home Minister has promised to provide a reservation of 33 percent to women in West Bengal if the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) was elected to power in the upcoming elections.

“Once you form the BJP government in Bengal, all the government employees of Bengal will be given the benefit of the seventh pay scale. The BJP government will set up a committee to ensure proper norms for our teacher brothers,” Amit Shah said

One question raises looking at the election promises is, did the BJP party implement the same in any of the BJP-ruled states. Why didn’t the party try to implement these promises and set an example?

This is not the first time, the BJP batted for different election promises for different states. The saffron party, which openly endorses the ban of beef and cow slaughter in BJP-ruled states like Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh has promised to lift a ban on beef in Nagaland and Kerala.

In the poll-bound states, where BJP feels it can win the elections, it will shower promises on the states. Tamil Nadu, West Bengal are the best examples of this case. The same hypocrisy of BJP can be seen in budget allotments as well. The poll-bound states were allocated massive amounts in the budget, while the other states, especially the Telugu States were left alone.

The contradictory and different election promises for different states are raising questions on the credibility of the BJP party. If the same trend follows, within no time, BJP would lose its charm.
