Varun Tej recently suffered a serious knee injury while training for his upcoming film Bhari. The actor met with an accident during volleyball practice, which led to a severe injury requiring surgery.

He underwent a successful operation in Hyderabad and was hospitalized until April 18. Speaking about the incident, Varun Tej shared that he is now back home and recovering, though still dealing with considerable pain and undergoing medication and rehabilitation.

The film Bhari is being produced by his sister, Niharika Konidela, and the actor had been rigorously training to bring authenticity to his role. Despite the setback, Varun remains positive and committed to his craft.

Reflecting on the experience, he stated that taking risks is essential for achieving realism on screen, adding that without such efforts, performances may lack conviction.

While the injury has temporarily slowed him down, Varun Tej is expected to bounce back soon and resume work once he fully recovers.
