Actress Gayathri Slams YouTube Channel for Misleading & Derogatory Thumbnail

For quite some time now, there have been growing concerns regarding the kind of content being produced by Telugu YouTubers and even reputed media channels. In the race to generate sensational content without proper editorial oversight, several YouTube channels have resorted to using misleading and derogatory thumbnails to attract views.

The latest incident involves actress Gayathri, who publicly called out a leading YouTube channel for its shameless approach to content creation. She also took the opportunity to criticize popular YouTuber and journalist Swapna, who, despite being known for her credibility, was involved in this misrepresentation.

Gayathri had recently given an interview to a YouTube-based media channel. However, after the video was uploaded, she was shocked and appalled to find that the channel had used a highly misleading and demeaning thumbnail. The headline read, “My husband was found lifeless in the snow, and I received his remains chopped into pieces in a bag.” This, however, was a complete misrepresentation of her words.

To set the record straight, Gayathri brought her husband live on stream, proving that he is very much alive and in good health. She condemned the irresponsibility of the media channel and journalist Swapna, calling their actions distasteful and inhumane, especially given the fact that her husband is a military officer. Expressing her outrage, she announced that legal action would be taken against the channel for its reckless behavior.

This controversy has further exposed the unethical practices prevalent in the Telugu YouTube community, sparking widespread criticism from audiences who are now calling for better accountability and responsible journalism in the digital media space.
