Fresh buzz from Tollywood suggests that Allu Arjun’s much-anticipated big-budget film Raaka, directed by Atlee, may not meet its earlier expected release timeline of 2027.
The speculation gained momentum after a photo from the Mumbai shooting schedule surfaced, showing crew identity tags with a validity date extending up to April 2027. This has led to discussions that the film’s shoot could continue until that period, pushing the release further.
Initially, the makers were planning an April 2027 release. However, with the production schedule now expected to stretch longer, industry chatter indicates a possible new release window in December 2027 or even Sankranti 2028.
Adding to the delay factor is the film’s extensive post-production work. Reports suggest that a Hollywood-based technical team is involved, and the post-production phase alone could take more than eight months to complete.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is reportedly undergoing a major transformation for his role, dedicating nearly four hours daily for makeup and character preparation. His first-look reveal on his birthday already created strong curiosity among fans.
With its massive scale and meticulous production process, Raaka is shaping up to be a long-gestation project, keeping fans eagerly waiting for further updates on its release.
