Post the sudden demise of Bollywood superstar Sushant Singh Rajput, nepotism has become the most talked-about topic in Indian film industry. Many netizens are siding with Sushant, saying noted producers like Karan Johar, Mahesh Bhatt, and Aditya Chopra sidelined Sushant for personal reasons and he eventually committed suicide.
While speaking about Sushant’s untimely death, acclaimed Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap made a intriguing revelation.
“Many years back, I approached Sushant and asked him to do a film under my direction. He rejected my proposal as he got an offer from Yash Raj films. Again in 2016, I made a movie offer to him and he agreed to star in it. However, he changed his mind after the blockbuster success of MS Dhoni: The untold story. He never called me again,” Anurag Kashyap said.
In other news, Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film ‘Dil Bechara’ is releasing on Hotstar at 7:30 PM today. The film is carrying a positive buzz and going by the craze it is enjoying on social media, it might well be the most streamed Indian film on OTT platforms after its release.
