Balakrishna Land Rumors Busted: No Truth to YSRCP Claims

Share

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has recently been accused of spreading false narratives against members of the ruling NDA government. A notable example is the misinformation campaign targeting actor and politician Nandamuri Balakrishna.

YSRCP supporters on social media claimed that Balakrishna purchased 200 acres of land near Amaravati, suggesting he had insider knowledge about a supposed second phase of land pooling by the government. These claims implied that he bought the land in advance to benefit from a spike in property value.

However, the facts tell a different story. The government has not announced any second phase of land pooling in the Amaravati region. The rumors about new pooling plans are centered around villages like Pedda Parimi and Harischandrapuram, which were already covered in previous pooling efforts.

In reality, the land allegedly bought by Balakrishna is located in Bandarupalli village, Tadikonda Mandal—far from both the current and rumored pooling zones. Furthermore, claims of him buying 200 acres are false. According to the official Mee Bhoomi land records, Balakrishna is associated with only around 37 acres—and even that has not been confirmed by him directly.

Balakrishna has maintained a clean public image throughout his career. He personally funds and runs the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital, has never been linked to corruption, and is known for being financially disciplined—even during the political tenures of his father N.T. Rama Rao and brother-in-law N. Chandrababu Naidu.

This entire controversy appears to be yet another baseless political attack by the YSRCP, with no evidence to support the claims.
