It was a moment of pride for Andhra Pradesh and its Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu as the national spotlight in Delhi focused entirely on him. During the prestigious “Bharat AI Shakti” event, the Andhra Pradesh government formally signed a landmark agreement with Google and its affiliate Raiden to establish India’s first AI hub in Visakhapatnam.

Beyond the significance of the deal itself, Chandrababu received widespread appreciation from the Union Ministers present. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw praised his foresight, innovation, and visionary leadership.

Sitharaman highlighted Chandrababu’s long-term planning, stating that the agreement marks the beginning of a new chapter in Andhra Pradesh’s growth. She emphasized that no other state possesses such a strong coastal base and infrastructure advantages, and commended the Chief Minister’s strategic efforts to leverage these strengths to attract global investments.

Ashwini Vaishnaw added insight into the collaboration, noting that Minister Nara Lokesh had approached him six months ago with the proposal. “Many states submit proposals, but Andhra Pradesh executed this with remarkable speed. This initiative will shape the future of the state and contribute to India’s vision of development,” he remarked.

From once struggling to attract major investments, Andhra Pradesh has now emerged as a preferred destination for global tech giants. Under Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership, the state continues to lead India’s digital transformation, and the Delhi event served as a stage for national recognition of his visionary governance—a true elevation for Babu on the country’s political and technological map.
