Chiranjeevi Clears the Air on Jagan Meeting Row

Balakrishna had earlier alleged that Chiranjeevi was insulted during a meeting of film industry representatives with then Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. Responding to this, Chiranjeevi has now given clarity, stating that no such insult took place.

He explained that he led the delegation only because the then Cinematography Minister, Perni Nani, felt a one-on-one discussion with the Chief Minister would yield better results. Chiranjeevi also revealed that he had tried to include Balakrishna in the meeting, but it did not materialize. With these clarifications, the controversy has effectively come to an end — Jagan Mohan Reddy did not insult Chiranjeevi, as confirmed by Chiranjeevi himself.

However, this raises a bigger question: why did Chiranjeevi remain silent earlier? When his brother Pawan Kalyan had publicly alleged that Jagan insulted him, a timely clarification from Chiranjeevi could have prevented the wrong message from spreading among the Kapu community. By speaking out only now, critics feel Chiranjeevi’s move looks more like opportunism or a calculated strategy aligned with his brother’s interests.

Another important issue is the controversial photo that showed Chiranjeevi with folded hands in front of Jagan Mohan Reddy. Chiranjeevi clarified that he never gave permission for its release. Yet, someone deliberately leaked it to create a misleading impression. Ironically, that very person still remains close to Jagan, highlighting both the misplaced trust of the former Chief Minister and the manipulative tactics of those around him.

In the end, while Chiranjeevi’s clarification has set the record straight, the timing and political undertones of his statement continue to spark debate.
