Manchu Vishnu Opens Up on Bond with Prabhas Ahead of Kannappa Release
Tollywood actor-producer Manchu Vishnu is gearing up for the release of his ambitious mythological epic Kannappa, slated to hit theatres on June 27, 2025. Currently promoting the film in the United States through fan meetups and podcasts, Vishnu recently opened up about his deep bond with co-star Prabhas, adding a personal touch to the film’s promotional run.
In a candid moment during a podcast, Vishnu reflected on his long-standing friendship with Prabhas, with whom he previously collaborated during the dubbing of Denikaina Ready. “I often scold him playfully,” Vishnu said with a laugh. “Prabhas doesn’t even realize how big a star he is. He lives in his own peaceful world, untouched by fame or pressure. From the beginning of his career till now, despite becoming one of Asia’s biggest stars, he hasn’t changed a bit. When I told him never to change, he simply replied, ‘What’s there to change? I’ve always been the same, haven’t I?’”
The conversation took an emotional turn as Vishnu spoke about the personal struggles he’s faced within his own family. “There are people who share my blood but are trying to bring me down,” he admitted. “But someone like Prabhas, who doesn’t share my blood, is genuinely wishing the best for me. That’s the kind of person he is.”
He also shared a meaningful thought Prabhas once expressed: “He told me that we’d remain friends for a lifetime, even if we only meet once every 3 to 6 months—because we both belong to a different school of life.”
As Kannappa inches closer to its release, this heartfelt story adds more depth to the film’s journey and highlights the bond between two stars from contrasting worlds who share mutual respect and understanding.
