Hemchandra & Himabindu – Mee Inta Vanta – Rakhi Special

According to a report by India.com, in the iconic 1975 film Sholay, Dharmendra was actually the highest-paid actor, surpassing Amitabh Bachchan. Dharmendra received ₹1.5 lakh for his role, while Amitabh Bachchan was paid ₹1 lakh. Sanjeev Kumar, who portrayed Thakur Baldev Singh, earned ₹1.25 lakh.

Amjad Khan, famous for his role as the notorious Gabbar Singh, was paid ₹50,000. Hema Malini received ₹75,000 for playing Basanti, and Jaya Bachchan was paid the least among the main cast, earning only ₹35,000.

Sholay, directed by Ramesh Sippy, revolves around two ex-convicts, Jai and Veeru, who are hired by a retired policeman to capture the feared dacoit Gabbar Singh.
