Apple is set to preview its next-generation software, iOS 27, for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and other devices at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2026. As the event approaches, reports suggest that Apple may have already offered a subtle hint about Siri’s new look through its WWDC26 artwork, sparking speculation about a refreshed visual identity for the voice assistant.

According to a Bloomberg report, the upcoming version of Siri could feature a glowing visual effect, which is also reflected in the WWDC 2026 artwork. This glow is expected to be more prominent in dark mode on iPhones, giving Siri a more modern and interactive appearance. Instead of appearing as a full-screen overlay, Siri may integrate more deeply into the Dynamic Island. When activated, the Dynamic Island could expand slightly with a glowing indicator, signaling that Siri is ready for input. This shift points toward a more compact and visually seamless user experience.

Reports also indicate that Apple is currently testing the new Siri design internally ahead of its official preview in June. If implemented, this would mark Siri’s second major redesign after iOS 18, when Apple introduced Apple Intelligence features. However, the full AI-powered upgrade for Siri is still pending, despite being teased earlier.

In terms of functionality, Siri is expected to receive significant AI enhancements with iOS 27. The assistant may become more conversational and capable of handling multiple commands in a single request, such as sending a message, setting a reminder, and opening Maps simultaneously. It is also expected to gain on-screen awareness and improved personal context understanding. These capabilities are likely to be powered by advanced foundation models, including technologies similar to Google’s Gemini AI.

Alongside the visual and intelligence upgrades, Apple may also introduce a dedicated Siri app, allowing users to access and review past conversations more easily. This would further strengthen Siri’s role as a central AI assistant across Apple devices.

Apple’s WWDC 2026 event is scheduled to take place from June 8 to June 12, 2026. The keynote presentation, where iOS 27 and other major software updates are expected to be unveiled, will likely be held on the opening day. The event will showcase updates across Apple’s ecosystem, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and more, though the detailed schedule is yet to be officially announced.
