
Minister Nara Lokesh is currently addressing a press conference on the impact of Cyclone Montha across Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to the media, Lokesh assured that the state government is monitoring the situation in real time, with relief and rescue operations being executed on a war footing through close coordination between departments.
He stated that officials, MLAs, and MPs in the vulnerable districts have been placed on high alert, and teams are actively working to evacuate residents, restore essential services, and provide immediate aid to affected families.
Lokesh cautioned that the hours following 11:30 p.m. could be particularly critical as the cyclone’s intensity increases. He further added that control rooms are operating round the clock, ensuring swift response and communication.
Reiterating the government’s commitment, Lokesh emphasized that no effort will be spared to protect lives and minimize damage as Cyclone Montha continues its course inland.
