The much-anticipated Kantara: Chapter 1 pre-release event took place this evening, with Telugu superstar NTR attending as the chief guest. The film, starring Rishab Shetty and Rukmini Vasanth, is set to hit theaters on October 2, with paid premieres scheduled for October 1.
During the event, NTR praised Rishab Shetty’s unique talents, saying, “Rishab sir is a very rare breed of directors. I always wonder if the actor in him dominates the director or the director in him dominates the actor. If it were not for Rishab sir, I am unsure if this film would have been made.” Recalling his visit to the Udupi Sri Krishna Temple with Shetty, he highlighted the director’s dedication and passion.
NTR also extended his wishes for Kantara to become a historic blockbuster in Indian cinema.
Throughout his speech, NTR appeared to speak with less energy than usual, as he is currently recovering from a recent injury sustained while filming an advertisement. He candidly shared that he experienced pain during his address, yet his presence and words left a significant impact on the audience.
