The Soha Ali Khan-Kunal Khemmu wedding celebrations is underway!

After a fun-looking bachelorette party, Soha Ali Khan’s mehendi ceremony took place at her Khar residence, in suburban Mumbai, on January 23.

The do was attended by close family and friends only.

The wedding will take place post noon at their Khar residence today in the presence of a registrar and immediate family members.

We hear, on Friday, the bride-to-be sat for her elaborate mehendi ceremony patiently for seven long hours, clad in a pink outfit.

A source revealed, “It started at 1 pm and got done only at 8 pm. Soha only rested for about an hour in between. Bhai Saif Ali Khan and his wife Kareena looked stunning at the do in Indian attire.“

Actress Neha Dhupia and Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma were present. Barring Saif, the event was dominated by ladies.

Kunal visited the Khar residence only late in the evening, after the mehendi ceremony was over, and that too, for some work.

Failure of ‘Lingaa’ & ‘I’ became a nightmare for the distributors across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana.

Generally, movie lovers build a lot of expectations on Superstar’s films. Unlike other small budget movies, if these huge budget films fails to entertain the audience, then those films won’t survive at the box-office for more than a week or two.

Same thing happened with Rajinikanth’s Lingaa and Shankar’s ‘I’.

Fans and movie lovers expected graphical extravaganza and visual wonders from both these films, but Linga and ‘I’ have clearly disappointed everyone.

As the distributors lost huge amounts of money on these films, other producers are facing the heat from the exhibitors and they are finding it difficult to sell their movies for fancy prices.

After the checking out the trade report of ‘Lingaa’ & ‘I’, many have realised that star heroes and directors cannot drive the film without a good script.

‘Baahubali’ actor Rana Daggubati is a very open person. Unlike other star kids, he doesn’t show off and is very practical in real life.

His latest Bollywood movie ‘Baby’ got released on January 23rd and the film opened up to mostly positive reviews.

Speaking to a national daily about his childhood, Rana said, “Ram Charan, Naga Chaitanya and Allu Arjun are my close friends. I failed in my tenth class and then, I moved to Hyderabad from Chennai. I knew Charan from my childhood and when I got to know that he failed in 6th class, we became close friends”.

Well, nobody knew about Ram Charan’s academics till Rana revealed about them. Looks like these star kids already knew that they are going to become Mega Powerstar and Tollywood Hunk’s in class six itself and that might be the reason why they have ignored their studies.

Hyderabad: Actress Anjali says news about her being in a pub brawl here has been fabricated by a section of media because she refused to pose for photographs.

The incident is said to have taken place at Liquids pub Friday.

“On Friday, I had gone to Tabla restaurant with couple of my friends and their husbands. A few photographers approached me and requested to pose for photographs, but I politely refused as I was not there for professional work,” Anjali told IANS.

“In the next 15 minutes, I heard that some television channels were flashing headlines that I was drunk and had got into a brawl and the management had to call cops to intervene. Since I didn’t pose for photographs, they had fabricated this news,” she said.

Anjali says police officials had come to the pub, but she isn’t sure why.

It was not long ago, the actress was embroiled in a controversy with her step-mother. In connection with it, she had apparently run away from her home.

Anjali is currently busy shooting for Tamil film “Mappillai Singam” and a yet-untitled Kannada project.

Chennai: Several distributors of Rajinikanth-starrer “Lingaa”, who have been demanding compensation over losses, can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the makers have agreed to look into the losses and settle them.

Superstar Rajinikanth has appointed distributor Tirupur Subramaniam, who’s had the experience with several such issues, to settle the matter.

“Rajini sir and producer Rockline Venkatesh have discussed and appointed distributor Tirupur Subramaniam to look into the matter. He’s been asked to check losses incurred by all the distributors who have requested for compensation,” Srithar, secretary of Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association, told IANS.

“Subramaniam has been asked to take proper accounting of the total loss incurred and submit to producer Venkatesh. Taking all this into consideration and subsequently verifying all the numbers, the distributors will be compensated,” he said.

In the past, Subramaniam had helped Rajinikanth when he faced similar situation for his films “Baba” and “Kuselan”.

Directed by K.S. Ravi kumar, “Lingaa” released last December.

Nandamuri Kalyanram’s ‘Patas’ started with positive reviews all over. Good word-of-mouth became an additional advantage and the film collected 1.3 crores on day 2.

Overall, ‘Patas’ collected close to 3 crores from 2 days and the distributors have added 36 theatres starting from today. It looks like a promising first weekend for ‘Patas’ as Monday is a holiday.

Trade analysts are predicting that the film will collect close to 6 crores in the first weekend and, in the long run, ‘Patas’ has the potential to cross 12 crore mark for sure.

Anil Ravipudi became talk of the Tollywood and he is expected a direct a star hero very soon. Distributors are very happy with ‘Patas’ and the steady collections will make them enter into the profit zone in less than a week.

It’s official now. The makers of ‘rudhramadevi’ have sent a press note stating that ‘rudhramadevi’ would be releasing in the last week of March. The movie has been on sets for the last two years.

Touted to be the historical entertainer Anushka played protagonist of the movie. Stylish Star Allu Arjun has done cameo role ‘Gona Gannareddy’ in the movie. Hero Rana is doing a prince role and will be seen opposite to Anushka. Maestro Ilayaraja scores the music of the movie. The movie is being directed and produced by Gunasekhar on Guna Team Works. The first look pics of Allu Arjun and other cast received terrific response and the movie is expected to get huge openings with the support of mega fans.

Prince Mahesh’s ‘Srimanthudu’ is being canned at a rapid pace. Yet again, none of the actresses has been roped in to play the crucial role, Mahesh’s mom in the movie. Till some days ago, we heard the names like Gracy Singh, Nadhiya to essay Mahesh’s mom. Buzz now, is doing rounds that veteran heroine sukanya maybe roped in to play Mahesh’s mom.
