Two Things Telugu People Are Sick Of!
Mention two things to a Telugu person and chances are good that he’d throw up. One is Jagan’s never-ending ‘Odarpu Yatra’ and the other is a demand from every Tom, Dick and Harry for a ‘Bharat Ratna’ to NTR. So tired have people become of hearing about Jagan’s ‘Odarpu’ that they just can’t take it anymore.
If Jagan intends this to be a platform for his political ambitions then he should think again! It is high time that he winds up this programme and gets on to other things. As for the demand for a ‘Bharat Ratna’ to NTR, it is being voiced only by the sycophants of the ruling party. NTR was a great actor and no doubts regarding that!
But he was not a great politician in that he could not endear himself to all sections and communities. A ‘Bharat Ratna’ candidate’s life should be a source of motivation and free from blemishes. Unfortunately, that is not the case with NTR who has had his fair share of controversies.
Be it the corruptions cases he was convicted in, his alleged taciturn support in the murders of Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga Rao and Pingali Dasaratha Ram, his patronage of the factionist Paritala Ravindra and his politics of vendetta against the livelihood of the ‘Brahmins’, NTR was always more of a politician than a leader.
Besides, a ‘Bharat Ratna’ is one that is normally given to a person who has had a pan-Indian influence, cutting across religions, regions and languages. NTR is definitely a ‘Ratna’ for his community, in fact he gave them life, but that’s about it! Bharat Ratna? Not so sure! Potti Sriramulu or Alluri Seetharama Raju deserves it more. Why doesn’t the TDP pitch their names?

Rajinikanth for his son-in-law Dhanush and Kamal Hassan for his daughter, Akshara attended the event as Chief Guests. Ilayaraja scored music for the film and was also felicitated for scoring music for 1000 films, a very rare feat.
Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan shared their work experience with the Legendary Music Composer who worked for most of their films in their early career. Akshara Hassan is making heroine debut with this film. The event was also attended by Boney Kapoor, Shruti Haasan, Gulzar, Tabu, Abhishek and wife Aishwariya Rai Bachchan.
Sirivennela Shocks AP Govt
Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry is known to be a mild man. However he sprang surprise by refusing to compose a theme song for Visakha festival, thus shocking the Andhra Pradesh government. It is known that Andhra Pradesh government headed by Chandra Babu Naidu is planning to launch Visahka festival in a prestigious manner.
Organisers contacted Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry and requested him to pen the theme song. However he kindly refused to write the song. Now the organisers are contacting local lyricists to write the song. AP Govt is planning to conduct Visakha festival starting from Friday.
Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Bheemili MLA and HRD Minister announced sometime back that Visakha festival will be conducted every year and they would get a top lyricist to pen the theme song. Visakha festival will be conducted for three days starting from Jan 23 till Jan 25.
High court warns KCR!
The Hyderabad High Court has reportedly taken a serious view of the Telangana government’s failure in filing its latest counter to the petition that has actually challenged the implementation of FAST (Financial Assistance for Students of Telangana) inspite of the repeated directions.
The court has minced no words saying this shows scant regard to its orders that is considered tantamount to the abandoning of constitutional obligations and conveyed to the Telangana advocate general that any such indifference will not be tolerated.
The division bench is examining the petition, which challenges the validity of the FAST scheme that envisages reimbursement of fee for only `native’ Telangana students whose parents were born in the region before November 1, 1956.
The court wanted to explain how bringing such `native clauses’ would not be seen as contrary to the federal spirit of our constitution and how such rules would help national integration. Wonder what KCR government has to say to this now.
Even Governor is not secured in KCR’s Rule!
In what can be a irritating failure to the Police and intelligence departments of Telangana, Governor ESL Narasimhan’s Telephone network in Raj Bhavan is hacked. Some one poached the network and made illegal international calls by routing through it.
The calls went to countries like Oman, Sri Lanka etc. No one really was able to identify the hack until the phone bill arrived. It is said that the December bill of Raj Bhavan was around 5 Lakhs like never before in the past. It was then the officials got alert and went through the call records.
It is found that there are dialled numbers which were not related to the governor. A case was registered and Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mahinder Reddy met the Governor few days ago and informed him about it.
The investigation is going on in the direction to find out if there is tapping or Terrorism links involved in this issue. This hacking episode was revealed more than some 15 days ago but the government kept it under wraps as it will be disdain to the government for failing to secure the Raj Bhavan.

Small Film amazes Trade Pundits with Table Profit

Anchor Anasuya as Nag’s Maradalu
TV anchor turned actress Anasuya has bagged a plum offer where she is going to share screen space with none other than Tollywood Manmadhudu Nagarjuna Akkineni. What’s more interesting is that Anasuya would be essaying the role of Nag’s Maradulu in his upcoming film Soggade Chinni Nayana.
This is not all. Anausya will also be grooving with Nag in one of the songs. After turning down to shake legs with Pawan in Attarintiki Daredi in special song, Anasuya agreed to do it with Nag as she’s not just limited to a song but she has significant role in the film.

All eyes are on AP CM Chandrababu Naidu who is attending World Economic Forum’ Annual Meeting Today that will see the participation of noted policy-makers and corporate leaders from across the world.

Jagan’s Satirical Take On Women
Director Puri Jagan is always known for his satirical dialogues on women in his movies. Though he is popular for writing bold characterisations for his heroines, he is equally known for his heroes to throw sarcastic satires on heroines and other women in the movie.
The way he made Pawan mouth that ‘Andaru larva mangala melame’ dialogue in Rambabu movie explains the stuff better. Recently our dashing director has come up with an interesting take on women. Sharing his thoughts on social circuits, Puri commented, “To be happy with a man, you must understand him a lot and love him a little.
To be happy with a woman, you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all”. This is enough to ignite the sparks of controversy among feminist groups. Seems like Jagan is completely against understanding women.
Busy with the post-production of ‘Temper’, Jagan is finalising the script work of his next that features mega hero Varun Tej. After the release of Jr NTR’s movie probably on Feb 13th, our director will come up with full details of Varun Tej’s project. C Kalyan is producing that film, while Puri himself is writing story now.
