Chennai: Filmmaker Shankar hasn’t tried to offend the transgender community in his Tamil magnum opus “I”, says popular makeup artist Ojas M. Rajani, who essayed an important role in the film.

Shankar’s portrayal of Ojas, a transgender, in his film attracted the wrath of a group of transgenders who have demanded a “public apology” from the filmmaker after protesting in front of his residence Monday. “Shankar didn’t try to demean my character of a transgender. 

In fact, he shot it so aesthetically that it doesn’t offend anybody, including the transgender community. It’s just part of a story of the film and I requested everybody to not get offended,” Ojas said in a statement. 

In the film, Ojas lusts over actor Vikram. This had not gone down too well with many people. “I” also stars Amy Jackson and Upen Patel.

Star heroes and heroines prefer to go for long term assistants, as they need a comfort level with them. That is the reason why most of the top actors and actresses have a very good rapport with their personal assistants. 

According to our Mumbai sources, Katrina Kaif has fired her make-up man, who has worked for her since 2005. Our B-Towm sources said that Katrina’s make-up man, Subhash Singh, went to Maritius on a different project and he was stuck over there, due to bad weather conditions. 

As a result, he was not able to report on time and this irked Katrina Kaif. As soon as he came back, Katrina Kaif’s manager informed Subhash Singh, that he was fired as she has taken a job elsewhere and failed to report on time.

Bubbly beauty Shriya Saran has lost her charm these days and so are offers. Despite her hard efforts to prove her presence as a heroine, somehow things are not working out in favour. She is part of two successful films these days, but still her success is not sung. 

After giving up her stardom, Shriya acted with heroes like Allari Naresh and then sizzled in movies like Pavitra. But nothing happened to her career until ANR’s last film “Manam” has happened. Her role in that movie has won instant attention. 

And then she landed up in another role in Venky’s Gopala Gopala as his wife. In both these successful movies, Shriya acted as mother of kids and impressed with her acting, but still she is not blowing a whistle. Main reason seems to be her absence at promotions of these flicks. 

Apparently Shriya charged very less for these movies and she don’t want to attend promotional events until she is paid extra for that. This outcry for remuneration is not pushing her into spotlight of movie’s success and other makers are forgetting her presence in these movies. That’s a loss to Shriya!!

As it is said in the heading, that is what Superstar’s son-in-law Danush is doing at the moment. With a beautiful heroine asking him to kiss on his a**, he wastes no moment in kissing on her butt. This happens to be a scene in the upcoming February 6th release ‘Shamitabh’. 

Directed by R Balki, the movie features Amitabh Bachhan and Danush in the leads, while legendary Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter Akshara Haasan is debuting on silver screen through it. The second trailer of the movie is right now going viral on social circuits. 

In one particular scene, heroine Akshara asks her lover Danush, ‘..kiss my a*** monkey’, for which Danush immediately responded with a shocking act. He bends over and kisses on her butt. Definitely this is one of the boldest scene ever a star hero has done on silver screen. 

Surely this kissing on the butt will get ‘censored’ before it makes it to theatres, say cine experts. Who knows, this kissing might get controversial too in the coming days.

Contrary to rumours in publicity that curvaceous siren Rakul Preet Singh is gearing up for a dual role in forthcoming movie ‘Kick 2’, the actress stated that there is no truth in it. Currently she is busy wrapping up two films, hero Ram’s Pandaga Chesko and Raviteja’s Kick 2.

‘I’m playing the role of a village belle and city girl in Kick 2. I can say that i play two avatars, but i’m not playing any double role’, said Rakul Preet, sharing details about her role in the Surender Reddy directorial. 

However she refused to divulge any other detail further. ‘You can feel the surprise when you watch the movie in theatres coming Summer’, she added. After delivering a stupendous hit with Kick earlier, director Surender Reddy teamed up with Mass Raja for the second time to make this action comedy.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s films have been limited from the day he entered into the politics, His last full length film is Attarintiki daredi which released on 2013 and his recently Gopala Gopala Movie Released where he appeared in a 30 Mins special role as Krishna, Coming to the news, His Most awaited venture Gabbar Singh 2 will kick-start either in the month of February or March under the direction of Bobby (KS Ravindra) of POWER fame. Apart from this another two films also materialized, one will be directed by Dolly, the other film will have direction by Pawan’s friend Trivikram Srinivas.

With Sankranthi season gone, the next big look out is for the high potential Summer season where a horde of Telugu films are likely to hit silver screen. Big ticket entertainers like Baahubali, Rudramadevi, Kick 2 are setting up stage to fire in the holiday season. 

But there are two big entries for the show, not because of their films’ budgets but due to the immense craze they had. Surprise entrant in the summer season bonanza is none other than stylish star Allu Arjun. His upcoming movie under Trivikram’s direction that is set for February 5th release is likely to release in the first week of April. 

And that will open the season roaringly. And before the season gets closed in May, all other big ticket entertainers have to find a suitable date for their releases. Even if they arrives or not, Superstar Mahesh is going to enthral audiences at the end of Summer 2015. His ongoing movie under Koratala Siva’s direction is likely to hit at the end of May. 

As Bunny opens the seasons, Mahesh is trying to seal it, of course with blockbusters. Currently Mahesh’s movie is undergoing shoot in Hyderabad with both Mahesh and Shruti taking part in this schedule. Coming to Bunny’s flick, Trivikram is caning some climax scenes as fresh schedule is started from Monday.

Multi-talented Shruti Haasan does it again- tested her singing talent. Actress-singer Shruti lent her voice for her sister Akshara in a song in Akshara’s maiden film Shamitabh. Shruti crooned for the song titled “Sannata” and the makers are all set to launch the song soon. 

The song is already available on Internet jukeboxes and making big noise. Composed by Ilaiyaraaja, “Sannata” is said to be very different from what Shruti has sung earlier. “It’s young, contemporary, edgy and quirky, much like Shruti’s own musical vibe. 

It’s a different track compared to what one hears in mainstream music these days,” say reports. Adding to the maestro’s music, the lyrics of song feature names of various contemporary singers, lyricists actors and musicians. 

Directed by R Balki, Shamitabh stars Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush in lead roles. Akshara Haasan will be romancing Dhanush. Already Shruti’s two other songs in her recent film Tevar (Okkadu remake) were chartbusters. 

Both ‘Joganiyaan’ and ‘Madamiyan’ of Tevar topped the charts. ANd ‘Madamiyan’ seen Shruti shaking legs with Arjun Kapoor. So, Bollywood is abuzz about Shruti’s song for her younger sister.

According to reports, Prabhas’ Bollywood debut has a strong reason and meticulous planning behind it. Seeking promotion for Prabhas’ and his upcoming magnum opus Baahubali which also be released in Hindi, team Baahubali is reportedly behind Prabhas’ cameo in Prabhudeva’s Action Jackson. 

Since only Rana and Tamannah from Baahubali has notable image in Bollywood and Prabhas, Anushka Shetty are less known, apparently the makers of Baahubali compelled Prabhas to do guest appearance in a special song in the Ajay Devgn film. 

Prabhas too relented as he was shaking legs with Sonakshi Sinha in the song “Punjabi Mast”. But with the movie received extremely poor reviews, team Baahubali and Prabhas got a shocker of life. 

While critics threw umpteen brickbats against the film, Prabhas cameo gone unnoticed and all his efforts have gone down the drain. A source from the film divulged, “Rana and Tamannah are popular in Hindi industry and could add value for the film in Hindi. 

But that’s not enough and hence the makers thought it’s wise idea to introduce Prabhas with Action Jackson. But it proved to be otherwise as the film turned out to be disaster.” Naturally, this move upset Prabhas’ and his fans.
