Shruti Haasan Quashes Rumours

From couple of days, rumours are doing rounds that spicy seductress Shruti Haasan is pairing up with senior hero Venkatesh. For upcoming Dasarath’s movie in which Venky is playing the lead, Shruti is said to signing for the lead lady role.

Not until she clarifies about it. “When I’m part of a film, I shall let you know. Please don’t speculate”, says Shruti Haasan, with all due to respect to every media house. Currently she is taking part in the shooting of Mahesh Babu’s upcoming movie, tentatively titled Srimanthudu, which has writer-director Koratala Siva in director’s chair.

In Kollywood, she has Vijay’s Puli and in Hindi she is busy with John Abraham’s Welcome Back and couple of other films .

Hero Ram Grabs Mahesh Babu’s Title

Young hero Ram is trying hard to come back to his best and deliver a hit at any cost. Currently he is busy wrapping up ‘Pandaga Chesko’ under the direction of Gopichand Malineni, whose first look got released a couple of days back.

After this movie’s release, Ram will be coming up with an action entertainer under the direction of newcomer Srinivas Reddy, who happens to be a protege of Surender Reddy. Here comes an interesting snippet about the title of this flick.

Earlier, Mahesh Babu was supposed to star in a movie that would be directed by creative Krish and features Sonakshi Sinha as the heroine. This film got titled ‘Sivam’ and many a days Krish also publicized the same. But now, hero Ram’s movie under Srinivas Reddy’s direction got that title.

We hear that producers have finally acquired Sivam for Ram whose shooting will be started very soon. That’s fine, as titles rake up enough curiosity for stars of these calibre but content should be worked out in similar fashion to score a box office success. –

YRCP MLA’s Daughter Caught In Drunk & Drive Case

Daughter of an MLA after getting caught by police in Drunk and Drive case in turn started arguing with the police blaming them. Police later seized her car and are getting ready to give counseling to her.

The incident happened on Saturday night. Keerthi Samatha, daughter of YSRCP MLA Uppuleti Kalpana from Pamarru constituency, Krishna District was caught by police while driving drunk on Saturday when she was zooming past in her Maruti Swift from NTR trust bhavan towards Cancer Hospital.

Noticing police conducting breath analyzer tests, she tried to escape by reversing her car but police noticed and chased her bringing her halt to a halt after some time. She later got into an argument with police saying that she was daughter of an MLA.

Police after conducting tests found that she had 105 mg alcohol content which is more than the permissible limits. Police will be producing her in Court on Monday morning.

Congress MLC Paladugu Passes Away

Congress Senior leader, Ex Minister and Member of AP Legislative Council Paladugu Venkatrao passed away. Venkatrao who had been suffering from prolonged illness, breathed his last on Monday morning at a private hospital in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.

He was 75. Paladugu hailed from Gogulampadu village of Munaluru Mandal in Krishna district. Born on Nov 11, 1940 into family of communists, Paladugu attracted towards Congress. He forayed into politics by joining Yuvajana Congress in 1968.

He was elected as MLC in 1972 and later represented Legislative Assembly from Nuziveedu and served as Rural Development Minister in Anjaiah’s cabinet. However, he lost in the next elections. In 1989, he again won as MLA from Nuziveedu.

He served as Minister of Consumer affairs, food and public distribution in Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy cabinet. Currently, he is the member of AP MLC since 2007.

Leaders cutting across party lines condoled the death of senior leader Paladugu Venkatrao. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.

From last four years, director-producer YVS Chowdary is reeling with ‘Rey’, which is showing him stars in all the skies. While the flick lost its sheen due to prolonged production that went for two years, later it got struck with financial mess that is hurdling the release.

Even though Sai Dharam’s second flick has released, his debut movie is yet to come out of boxes. Calling the situation as unfortunate, YVS today stated that all the financiers, distributors and technicians involved in the movie are helping him to make the release happen sooner.

Earlier there was a buzz that he is selling his assets in Gudivada to float ashore from the losses, but Chowdary decided to keep mum about the whole episode. ‘Very soon you will see Rey in theatres.

Troubles wont last longer for anyone’, he said, exuding confidence. Let’s hope the ending will be quite happier for all the troubles Chowdary is facing with Rey.

As you expected, it is none other than Amir Khan and Raju Hirani’s ‘PK’. In just four weeks of its release, PK has amassed nearly 615 crores gross collection across the globe. That accounts to 1 Million Dollars which is too big for any Indian movie.

Also it marked the debut of an Indian movie into the prestigious Hollywood club where big Oscar winning directors and multi-crore investing studios are part of.

We have to appreciate Raju Hirani’s controversial yet powerful content and Amir Khan’s star image that fetched 1 Million Dollar mark for PK. Despite of the movie’s critical take on god worshippers, it is really a head raising moment for Indian film industries.

Bollywood hero Amir Khan is known for his perfection in delivering entertainment. Mainly he is applauded for selecting versatile scripts and going to any extent to play a role. If we net south indian waters for an Amir like person, then definitely we have one.

The likes of Kamal Haasan and Mohan Lal go any extent with their immense acting prowess but they have tormented their bodies occasionally for a role. However, versatile actor Vikram is quite different. Just take the case of ‘I’ and we understand what his dedication and passion are like.

He chops his hair, chisels his body, then goes fat and comes back and forth. Even for his earlier movies like Mallanna, Aparichitudu, and his career-changing flick Sethu, this hero has done extreme research on body language of his characters.

Off the screen, Vikram is a down to earth person with no starry tantrums. Maybe his films are not having high commercial success, but still he is second to none in terms of qualities like an Amir Khan. Should we call him South’s Amir or not? Yes, we have to.

Telangana to get Extra Rs 80 Crore per month

Even as OMCs (Oil Marketing Companies) announced a price cut of Rs 2.42 on litre petrol and Rs 2.25 on a litre diesel, the benefit to customers will be capped as the VAT (Value Added Tax) imposed by Telangana state government on fuel will erode the benefit of price cuts.

A day after fuel retailers cut the prices on fuel on Friday, Telangana state government on Saturday slapped Rs 2 as value-added tax on sale of petrol and diesel per litre. With this, the retail price of petrol and diesel in Telangana becomes costlier by Rs 2 eroding the price cut of over Rs 2.

In Hyderabad, petrol will now be sold for Rs 66.49 and diesel for Rs 54.88 per litre against the original price of Rs 64.49 and Rs 52.88 respectively. The move to slap VAT on fuel is aimed at earning additional revenue of Rs 80 Crore per month.

From a time, things are not working for this spicy beauty who could spell a magic with her beautiful smile and slim curves. She starred with secondary grade heroes and then some solo films that added more to he woes.

In Manam, her role besides Nagarjuna got well appreciated but the flick’s success haven’t won any opportunities for her. In Gopala Gopala, she is seen in a wife role, where she portrayed a middle-aged aunty role. After looking at it, no one will think of her as a heroine.
