Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Lingaa’ was released worldwide and the film collected more than 100 crores at the box-office. However, as the film was sold for sky-high rates, distributors were not able to earn profits and most of them have lost 30 to 40 percent of their investments. 

Couple of distributors in Tamil Nadu have threatened to go on hunger strike if Rajanikinath doesn’t settle the money that they have lost on the film. Will these distributors do the same thing if Ajith, Vijay, Suriya or Mani Ratnam’s films fail at the box-office? Why only Rajinikanth? 

If we check out the history, Rajini has settled the losses incurred to the distributors at the time of ‘Baba’ & ‘Kuselan’. Rajini did that because he was the scriptwriter for ‘Baba’ and the Superstar felt that the makers have misled the distributors by projecting him as the hero for ‘Kuselan’ (Kathaanayakudu). 

Coming to ‘Lingaa’, Rajinikanth is the hero and he is nowhere related to the script work. If the distributors have any issues, they should contact producer with whom they have the business dealings with. Blackmailing Superstar won’t help them in any way and there is no record of a single distributor who gave a share to Rajinikanth when his films smashed box-office records in the past

Little known Kollywood actress Vasundhara Kashyap has been making headlines after her intimate, private selfies with her boyfriend came out on internet. Vasundhara who went into silent mode for many days finally opened her mouth on the whole incident. 

Vasundhara claimed that all her so called intimate photos doing round on internet and social media were morphed. Vasundhara earlier deleted her social networking pages Twitter and Instagram once the photos went viral. 

Vasundhara according to sources received huge shock when she saw her photos as the girl in the picture was not her. She says mischievous people morphed her snaps to tarnish her image. Some are questioning whether her boyfriend’s photos were morphed. Some others say Vasundhara herself leaked her snaps to gain popularity.

In what is considered as the first-ever opportunity to catch a glimpse of Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh together on silver screen, Gopala Gopala is all set for grand release on Saturday, Jan 10. Touted to be Telugu remake of Hindi blockbuster Oh My God, naturally, comparisons are bound to be drawn and expectations on the remake are too high. 

As per the inside sources, both Pawan and Venky share good camaraderie in the screen and that is said to be the USP of the satirical drama. Like in the original Hindi version, Pawan Kalyan enters the scene before the interval itself and is there in the entire second half for over 50 minutes. Also scenes involving wife Shriya Saran and husband Venkatesh are added in Telugu to extend Shriya’s role unlike original. Kishore Kumar Pardasani’s directorial, Gopala Gopala is produced by Suresh Babu and Sharath Marrar under Suresh Productions and Northstar Entertainments banners. The film is releasing on the eve of Sankranthi.

It is learnt that Yesterday Madras High Court stayed the release of multi-crore Tamil film directed by Shankar, starring Vikram and Amy Jackson in lead role which was slated for January 14th release, till January 30th on a petition alleging violation of agreements by the producers. Justice granted the temporary injunction on a petition by Chennai based Picture House Media Limited alleging violation of financial and commercial agreements between it and producers Aascar Films (Private) Ltd. 

The secret behind stay on “I” release for Jan 14th is revealed by some internal sources, according to them “Gopala Gopala” producers Suresh babu & Sharth Marrar are behind this stay. Buzz is that petitioner Picture House Media Limited is company run by Potluri Vara Prasad chairman of PVP Entertainments who is one of the close buddies of Power Star Pawan Kalyan. 

It is an open secret that “I” is made with International standards and this film is going to be definite hit, the only film which is releasing as the competitive of “Gopala Gopala” is “I”, so producers are planned to stop its release indirectly. If the grapevine is to be believed Sharath Marrar insisted Pawan Kalyan for asking PVP to sue a notices Producers & distributors before a week of its release schedule, it is known to everyone that any court will take nearly 15 days for financial dispute cases hearing where it gives stay on film releases and the same thing happened with “I” release. 

So, now there will no competitive fro “Gopala Gopala” and it definitely crosses the more than expected collections. Well, the trend setting director of Tollywood who is more explosive with reality and human feelings, Sekhar Kammula reveals an outstanding fact of Pawan Kalyan! It seems when Sekhar Kammula approached Pawan with ‘Leader’ script, Pawan declined it politely. 

After, Pawan Kalyan rejected this script it went on to Rana Daggubati for his debut and this kind of a movie for a debut can be risky but Rana has been applauded for a great job. However, in the present situation a script like Leader is in need of the hour for Pawan in order to grow politically.
