Manisha Koirala, who has boldly fought Cancer and emerged as a winner, is all set to enter into the new phase of her life. The 44-yr-old actress is going to invite a new member into her family as she is looking forward to adopt a baby girl soon. She herself confirmed the news. Manisha, who was present at Oneness University in Chittoor, shared, “I’ve planned to adopt a baby girl and make my own family. After cancer was cured, I was advised by doctors to be cautious till 3 years which will be completed next year. I’ll formally adopt a baby girl then.”

Manisha is hopeful that “her child” will make her life “complete” and she says she is eagerly looking forward to bring her home. The Bombay actress had married to a Nepal Businessman in 2010 and later parted ways with him in 2012. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in Nov 2012 and later got cured after undergoing surgery and treatment in US.

Beating the robust competition in Tollywood, Tamil hero Surya carved a niche for himself here. His films get humongous openings at box-office, and people just love to see his antics in mass-roles. This stupefying craze helped his poor Sikander clock around 3.5 crores from AP and T box office on opening days alone despite movie receiving a tight slap from critics.

However, a heap of issues have spoiled the show of Surya and Samantha, as the film is more of an enchanted romance between lead pair rather a revenge story of hero. Also the 165 minutes length of movie is literally boring and dragged the flick to death. Identifying this issue, makers have now trimmed the movie by 20 minutes. Have they shortened Samantha’s romance to make Sikander like a pot boiling action flick?

Probably not, only Samantha’s dazzling presence is savior for the now. Her fairytale romance with her childhood crush Surya will at least entertain audiences in this otherwise predictable soap-opera kind flick. Also it is her ‘bikini’ talk that is engulfing youths and impelling the desire to watch it on silver screen.

Only an astounding blockbuster will put these two heroes on the big chart, otherwise they have to swim rough waters as usual. Like what an Ala Modalaindi did to Nani, a Ready did to Ram, exciting and enthralling stuff should happen to Aadi and Sumanth. Hope the youngsters are on the way to catch up with the storm.

Tamil Star Surya, who has enthralled Telugu audiences with films like Gajini, 7th Sense and Brothers, is all set to do a straight Telugu film soon. Surya himself confirmed the news. Surya said in an interview, “I’ve signed a Telugu film on dotted line. I know my producer, director and other details. I want them to announce the news.” Surya added that he even took the advance amount for his next Telugu film.

Reports are rife that director Puri Jagannadh has met Surya and narrated the story and locked the script. If you’re wondering who is going to produce the film? Here it is. Noted Tamil producer Gnanavel Raja is going to produce the film under his home banner Studio Green. Meanwhile, Surya’s latest movie Sikandar is running in theatres.

Spacing between biggies should be as long as possible these days such that their positioning will not affect film’s collections. Superstar Mahesh Babu’s latest flick ‘Aagadu’ is slated for a September 19 release, but we are hearing reports from trade sources that they are looking at a lone 3 weeks of time rather standing in rat race with other biggies.

In fact, Aagadu was first fixed for October first week release but the date announcement of Ram Charan’s Govindudu Andarivadele affected the plans. As the mega film directed by Krishna Vamsi was fixed for Oct 1st release, Mahesh’s movie got advanced to a couple of weeks. However, change in plans of Rabhasa affected the whole scenario. From Aug 15, Jr NTR moved to Aug 29, and this made Ravi Teja’s ‘Power’ to  shift from Aug 29 to September 5. In between, Naga Chaitanya’s Oka Laila Kosam is also eyeing Sep 5, but sources say they have Sep 12th as another option. In that case Mahesh has only Sep 12 and 26 available or otherwise he should compete with Charan on October 1st. Competing with Charan became negative sentiment for Mahesh’s flicks, as they have seen result twice.

With huge post-production work still pending for Aagadu, and date options not so interesting for trade circuits, a date change is inevitable for the movie, say observers.  But, clarity over both Aaagadu and Govindudu Andarivadele release is still at desert as the films are not yet ready. If Govindudu gets delayed by any chance, then Oct 1st will be best bet for Mahesh. So, we have to wait for official confirmation about these two releases.

There used to be a time, where small-ticket films/low-budget films which has no crowd-pulling star opt for irrelevant, eye-catchy titles to draw audiences. Gone are such days and even small-films are now mostly coming up with interesting-yet-meaningful titles that are apt for the films.

Contrary to this, few big budget, star hero films are now resorting to Masala titles to attract audience. The latest example is Surya’s Sikandar. Titled Anjaan in Tamil, the name of Telugu version has no match to the movie at all. There is no title justification in the film in one way or the other way round. One baffles till the end why it is called Sikandar. Except for verbal sounding, which is visible, there is no other reason to call the film so. Rather than coming up with spicy titles, the makers should focus on its content to the successful run of films.

In a startling revelation, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has made it public that she had a love failure. Spilling the beans, Sam said in an interview, “I had fallen in love with a guy few years ago. He was not a film actor and not from film industry too. He turned down my proposal.” Ask he whether she underwent depression post love failure. Pat came reply. “It was not at all painful as I hadn’t taken it seriously.”

However, Sam maintained that hers will be a love marriage. She said that the guy in her life stays close to her house and reiterated that she will enter wedlock only after 3 years. Box-office potential of Mass Raja Raviteja is obvious during holiday seasons, as people love to watch his mass-antics and energetic performances. Keeping that in view, Ravi aimed at Teachers Day holiday on September 5 to devise magic on silver screen with his ‘Power’. Brewing opposition is however not fine with this date.

Already Raviteja’s latest movie Power has amazed one and all with its pre-release business of around 30 crores. Distributors who have owned the movie are falling in love with this action-cop saga directed by debutant KS Ravindra (Bobby). Then what is the issue with release date for these distributors? Apparently many are complaining that if Power is scheduled for Sep 5, then it will be tough to fetch theatres. As Rabhasa is slated for August 29 release, maybe it is little harsh to weather out of the storm in a week’s gap.

Opposing the present confirmed date, they want Power to be released on Sep 15th. But with many other release like Aagadu, Govindudu Andarivadele lined up, ‘Power’ should make right move giving no room for mistake. Already makers have bent their mind to postpone flick to the date demanded by distributors. Wait for official confirmation.

Showing his patriotic colors, Stylish Star is always standing on the top during Republic and Independence days. Allu Arjun happens to be the only one from mega fraternity at the now, who wants to come up with social responsibility stuff on those days in the likes of Amir Khan and Surya. What about the other bunch then?

Rather beating in the bush, let’s come to point straight. Except Megastar Chiru who is running a blood bank of his own, other mega heroes are not into any social service. Only Nagababu and Allu Arvind take part actively in the affair of blood bank. Others simply visit it on their birthdays to slice a cake and the list includes Charan, Varun Tej and Sirish.

Recently when Bunny produced ‘I Am That Change’ film, it won appreciation from all quarters and started trending on top in India. Even a big star like Charan should think on similar lines, and make his kin follow it. That would not just help create awareness, but other film stars and audiences will assimilate. Film star means not just delivering entertainment, but for being idolized they should even consider some service to society.

You might wonder why Pawan is left out in the whole discussion. After becoming a political leader, it is imminent that he will be taking responsibility of serving the society as he promised it during Janasena meetings. Hope Powerstar will stand by his doctrines.

Controversy’s elder son Ram Gopal Varma is somehow back into news, though his film releases are not around. Maybe he wants to bring attention for his August 22 releasing ‘Anukshanam’. Ramu has attended as both interviewer and guest for a new interview-show named ‘Nene’ being aired on a popular Telugu channel.

Very concept of this show is to make the same celebrity pronounce the questions, and then answer questions himself. Deliberately asking some Qs about controversial stuff, Ramu tried to give a clear picture of his mind. When quizzed, ‘Why are you tweeting these days that KCR is much prettier than any other heroine and stuff’, pat comes the reply.

‘People like Adolf Hitler and KCR are quite oratory and their persona, charm dominates everything. Those who deliver stunning lectures always attract you with their charms. For the very same reason, I’ve stated that I find KCR more handsome’, says Ramu. Further he added, ‘Even if Ileana is there besides KCR, I would like to stare only at KCR because that’s the power of his charming personality’.

What if someone says Ramu lost his mental balance as he is making these comments? ‘Only morons will think that way’, he shrugged.
