‘Cheyyetti Jaikottu Telugoda’ From Teja

Share
Cinematographer-turned-director Teja has come a long way and proved his mettle with several successful films and launched several stars in industry. However, he is going through difficult phase as most of his recent films failed to rake in moolah.
Although he is now contemplating to make movies with stars like Kamal Haasan, it seems it would take more time and few of his other plans were already scrapped. The latest is that Teja will be making a special documentary soon.
Highlighting the Telugu culture, tradition and greatness of Telugu land the documentary is titled as “Cheyyetti Jai Kottu Telugoda” and it will be produced by Kethireddy Jagadeeswar Reddy. The genesis of the idea was when Tamils mocked Telugus by making a feature film on legendary king Sri Krishna Devaraya making pun of him with comedian Vadivelu as the protagonist.
Then it was Ketireddy who took to streets and protested against the film across Tamil Nadu and stood along with Telugus living in the state. Since then Ketireddy has been contemplating to come up with a spectacular documentary and his wait has finally ended as none other than Teja took it up.
It is learnt that a research was done on literary and historical personalities to tell the coming generations. Although it was documentary, we hear that it’ll be told in entertaining manner to garner youth’s attention and hence Teja was roped in. It’s good that director Teja is taking out time to direct documentary for a noble cause.

‘Punish My Naughty Daughter’ – Dad To Cops

Share
It is the natural instinct of children to be mischievous and naughty. Parents most of the times cope with the naughty behavior of their kids. First they lovingly tell their kids to be silent, and then yell at them if they don’t listen and finally resort to spanking if the mischief goes beyond the tolerance level.
In USA parents are not permitted to use physical force against the kids and this made a Florida man call the police and complain about his 12 year old daughter. In his complaint he said that his daughter argues on every issue and last week she had a fight with her sister.
As he does not have the authority to punish her, he called up the police and sought their help. Police facing a very tricky situation had no clue on how to resolve the issue.

Venkatesh Wanted To Become A Sanyasi

Share
Venkatesh is one of the non-controversial actors in Tollywood. He is a decent actor and has dedicated his entire life only for the cinema. ‘Decent’ is a very big word in the film industry as it is a very quality to find in the actors.
After starting off the multistarrer trend with ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’, Venkatesh has teamed up with Pawan Kalyan and they are ready to entertain the Telugu audience with ‘Gopala Gopala’. As we all know, Venkatesh is a very spiritual person.
He doesn’t believe in numbers and he thinks only about cinema. Speaking to popular national daily, Venkatesh admitted that at one point of time, he wanted to run away and become a Sanyasi.
Well, this is no surprise to his fans as they know about their favourite actor and it is very difficult to find a down-to-earth actor like Venkatesh among the young actors.

Sad Ending for 100-Movie Director

Share
Yesteryear ace director KSR Das, who went on to make more than 100 movies in both Telugu and Kananda, has been forgotten by the film fraternity. Das had turned into producer and lost a chunk of his money during his last phase as director and went through severe hardships.
In fact, Das was treated as legend by directors like Dasari Narayana Rao and K. Raghavendra Rao but surprisingly the latter overshadowed Das and what remained was an “insulting” and “disrespecting” farewell to Das according to Das’ wife Nagamani Devi who is currently staying with her daughter in Bangalore, away from Telugu film industry.
In her own words, “Das was a man who helped many in industry during his heydays and even secured assets but they subsequently melted after turning into producer. Even directorial offers dipped pushing him into more financial woes and we were in Chennai.
In his last days, he had went to Hyderabad to meet Krishna and asked Mahesh Babu’s call sheets to which he promised to give considering the blockbusters the duo made. He returned to Chennai.” But here the destiny had written different fate for star director KSR Das. “Das suddenly fell sick when we were planning to go to Chiranjeevi’s son (Ram Charan) wedding. Even before doctor turned up, he passed away. Two years after his death and four months ago my son too died.
Now, I’m staying with my daughter in Bangalore,” Ms Nagamani shared her sad tale. Explaining how money is important for recognition, Nagamani recalled an “insult” that Das had faced during his last days. “He was invited to an award function and he was made sit in last row.
Although aware of his sickness, the organisers didn’t call him onto stage till 11 PM. Unable to wait further, he returned to home with heavy heart. Even during the recent SIIMA awards, the organisers had displayed top Telugu directors who made over 100 movies.
Unfortunately, Das was forgotten there as well.” Superstar Krishna’s Mosagallaku Mosagadu, Rajinikanth-starrer Iddaru Asadhyule, legendary NTR’s Yugandhar, Chiranjeevi-starrer Billa Ranga are only few to name among over 100 movies he made. Definitely, it’s not the right farewell for an ace director like KSR Das.

Talk: Tamanna’s Bride Seeing Ceremony

Share
The latest buzz to hit the tinsel ville is the bride seeing ceremony of milky beauty Tamannaah Bhatia. If you think it’s real bride seeing ceremony, you got it wrong. It’s on reel and it’s part of Tamanna’s next Vaasuvum Sivaavum Onna Padichavanga (VSOP) in which Aarya play the protagonist.
Recently few scenes involving Tamanna and side cast were shot in a house near Kilpauk of Tamil Nadu for the film. Interestingly, the same house was also shot as Hansika’s house in her Romeo Juliet movie. Since Tamanna is pairing up with Aarya for the first-time, expectations are high on the film. SMS fame Rajesh is wielding the megaphone.
The movie’s next schedule will be held in March as the film’s lead actors are expected to make time for this film only after completing their respective commitments. Considering the popularity of Tamanna and Aarya (after Raja Rani), the movie would also be dubbed in released in Telugu in Summer. Meanwhile, Tamanna is busy with the shooting of epic Baahubali that is due for April release.

Gopala Gopala To Be Censored Tomorrow

Share
Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh starrer Gopala Gopala will be censored by the regional Central Board of Film Certificate on Wednesday (Jan 7, 2015). While the movie is all set for grand release on Jan 9, 2014, the movie going to face Censor test within very short time is puzzling many cine pundits and the fans of both star heroes.
With already few Hindu organizations demanded ‘ban of Gopala Gopala’ raising concerns over hurting the sentiments of the religion, even regional CBFC is keen on scrutinizing the film inch by inch.
With this even fans are in tizzy as if Censor directs or suggests any changes in the movie, it’d be highly difficult for the film to hit the screens on Jan 9 as planned by the team. In fact, the makers can’t even announce or advertise or publicise the release date of the film until the official Censor certificate is out.
So only one day would be left to publicise the film’s release date. However, producers Suresh Babu and Sharrat Marar are pretty confident that Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh are big crowd pullers and their names on credits would be more than enough to draw audience to theatres. Let’s wait and see. We will be the first to give Censor update on Gopala Gopala tomorrow.

2014 Was A Memorable Year: Nani

Share
Nani made an impressive debut with ‘Ashta Chemma’ in 2008. Later on, he became one of the notable actors in Tollywood with the films like ‘Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu, ‘Ala Modalaindi’, ‘Pilla Zamindar’, ‘Eega’ and ‘Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu’.
Technically, Nani doesn’t have a hit after SS Rajamouli’s ‘Eega’ and had no release in 2013. Many felt that 2014 was a forgettable for Nani as both ‘Paisa’ and ‘Aaha Kalyanam’ failed at the box-office. Speaking about his career, Nani said, “2014 is a memorable year.
I got to know what kind of films the audience are expecting from me. I understood that I have a responsibility to delivered good films as whenever I attended functions, people say that I look like their brother, son and a family member.
It’s very difficult to get that connect with the audience and I feel lucky about it”. Nani is very much excited about his upcoming film ‘Yevade Subramanyam’ which is being produced by Ashwini Dutt’s daughter Priyanka Dutt.
Shooting part of this film is almost completed and the unit have recently returned after a long schedule in Nepal & Himalayas. First look poster of ‘Yevade Subramanyam’ will be out on January 10, 2015.

Gopala Gopala Audio: It’s Different

Share
By now, it is widely known that Gopala Gopala is a remake of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal starrer Oh My God. Since the Telugu version stars Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh, the film has been hyped a lot and everyone is eagerly waiting to see how a film that has two big stars will fare at the box office.
Though it was initially said that the film will be tweaked to suit the range of the lead actors and the tastes of Telugu audiences, the makers seem to have decided to stick to the original script eventually.
It was said that Pawan would have a solo song and that Venkatesh would have a duet. But since the audio has been released, one can see that the unit has refrained from playing with the original version. Music has been composed by the new boy in T Town, Anup Reubens.
While Bhaje Bhaje has a commercial feel to it, the remaining two songs are completely situational. Unfortunately, none of the songs help in increasing the expectations from the film. In the Hindi film, the item song Go go Govinda song with Prabhu Deva and Sonakshi Sinha was a huge hit.
Surprisingly, there is no such item number in the Telugu album. So, it can be safely said that the music is not going to be the highlight of the film.
Yet, the songs help in setting the right expectations on the film. If you listen to them once, you will realize that the film is not your regular commercial entertainer. Now, it remains to be seen how far these expectations will work out at the box office.

Pawan Kalyan To Undergo Surgery

Share
We have reported long back that Pawan Kalyan has been suffering from chronic ‘backache’ from the past 2 years. Doctors have advised the actor to undergo surgery, but the Powerstar has been postponing it to complete the shooting part of his films.
Pawan is done shooting for ‘Gopala Gopala’ and he will be leaving to Australia for the surgery. His back pain is the main reason that the actor was not able to participate ‘Gopala Gopala’ shoot on time and Pawan used to visit Bangalore frequently for the treatment.
Generally, Pawan Kalyan doesn’t promote his films but the makers of ‘Gopala Gopala’ expected that this ‘Attarinitki Daredi’ actor will attend for the promotions part this time. Since he attended the audio launch, Pawan made it clear to the makers that he can’t attend to any other events.
