Drishyam is the biggest hit in Malayalam cinema history and everyone has been going gaga over it since its release. It is termed as one of the finest movies made in the history of Indian cinema. No wonder it is being remade in every Indian language now. Venkatesh, who has been finding it tough to find the right script since a very long time, has finally found a winner here. Drushyam will be remembered as one of his best movies.
Story
Rambabu( Venkatesh) is a middle-class man running a cable network in Rajavaram village near Vizianagaram. He enjoys his family life with wife Jyothi (Meena) and two daughters Anju, Anu. Tragedy strikes the family when Varun, son of Inspector General of Police (Nadhiya) harasses Anju with a video clip. Meanwhile, Varun gets disappeared and the local police and the IG suspects Rambabu family as culprits. What happens to Varun? What does Rambabu do to save his family forms the rest.
Performances
Venkatesh has taken up non-commercial film breaking his star image and opting for a deglam look. As expected he has done a commendable job by carrying off the role with ease. He impresses in emotional scenes and justifies the confrontation scenes.
Meena is apt for the role and she supports Venkatesh well. The two kids have done very good job. Nadhiya gets a prominent role and she is exceptional, Naresh, Sameer, Ravi Kale, Parachuri Venkateswara Rao, Sapthagiri have done decent job.
Technical Analysis
Cinematography by S.Gopal Reddy is neat and background score is impressive. Story is unique for the Telugu audiences while the screenplay is gripping leaving aside early 15 minutes. Sri Priya direction is good and handles the film cleverly. Dialogues are neat and editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is perfect. Production values are standard.
Analysis
Drushyam story (a murder mystery suspecting a honest middle class family) is unique to Telugu audiences and the film is the right mix of family entertainment and thrilling elements. The writers and the cast especially Venkatesh has taken the film to another level.
Drushyam remains a faithful remake to Malayalam version and director Sri Priya has made only few changes. The film has strong family emotions which will connect well with the audiences. The suspense element is maintained throughout and if you haven’t watched the original version, you’ll sure like the thrilling elements.
On the flipside, the film takes its time to get into the story and initial scenes of Venkatesh, Meena romance looks forced while Venky-Sapthagiri scenes doesn’t work much in the first half. Nevertheless, Drushyam makes the audiences glued to the screens with its peak second half and impressive climax.

Ra Ra Krishnayya Movie Review
Sandeep Kishan’s latest film Ra Ra Krishnayya has drawn the attention of film buffs due to presence of Jagapathi Babu, a much publicized lip lock between Sandeep and Regina and also the glam factor that has dominated the promotional material.
What is it about?
Kittu (Sandeep) is a cab driver who dreams of owning a garage. He saves money to buy his own car but gets cheated by his Seth (Tanikella Bharani). In an attempt to get back his money Kittu kidnaps Seth’s daughter Nandu (Regina). She falls in love with Kittu while they are on the run. But Kittu cannot accept her love as he doesn’t want to labeled as kidnapper forever. There is a reason for Kittu to hate kidnaps. When Kittu tries to send Nandu back to Seth, she is kidnapped by Jaggu (Jagapathi Babu). Now Kittu has to go and bring back Nandu from Jaggu.
Performance:
Jagapathi Babu: Jagapathi Babu is one of the major attractions of the movie and his rugged look as a kidnapping don is impressive. Although Jagapathi’s appearance is serious his character is dealt in a funny way. He is good in his own elements and there are some good moments for the actor to make his presence felt.
Sandeep Kishan: Sandeep Kishan suited the role to the T. He is natural as usual as a simpleton who is pushed into an extraordinary situation. His performance in the second half is very good.
Regina: Regina has made use of every opportunity she got until now. She is a very fine actress and definitely one of the major plusses of the film.
Others: Kalyani didn’t have much role to play. Tanikella Bharani is just okay. Brahmaji is good. Tagubothu Ramesh tickles your funny bone at times. Ravibabu is alright.
Technicalities:
Music: Music by Achu is not up to the mark. All the songs have Tamil flavor to them. Background score is average.
Direction: Debutante Mahesh Babu failed to make this film interesting. The story doesn’t have too many surprises except for an interesting interval block. Director tried to make this film in a commercial format, but failed to get the screenplay right. Someone like Vinayak might have handled this film in a better way. Not everybody can handle a film that doesn’t have much substance. Special skills are needed to make such scripts work.
Others: Cinematography is neat. Kerala episode has impressive camera work. There is so much lag in the film. More than thirty minutes of runtime could have been edited out. Producer made sure to make a quality product.

Analysis:
Ra Ra Krishnayya is a free-make of Bollywood hit Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, which is in turn an unofficial remake of Danny Boyle’s ‘A Life Less Ordinary’. Director Mahesh Babu made very few changes to the Bollywood script. He has failed to make it work in spite of having a successful script on hands.
Surprisingly Telugu nativity is missing in this film. Most of the scenes look like they are straight out of a Tamil film. Even the music director’s work resembles of a Tamil film. There are some comedy scenes that work here and there but Ra Ra Krishnayya falters on a whole. First half of the film runs aimlessly with some unnecessary songs thrown in between.
Interval point raises interest to some extent and second half starts on a bright note. But the film fizzles out within no time and what comes next is a bore marathon. Ra Ra Krishnayya keeps testing your patience in the final hour. Director didn’t even try to make it up with an impressive climax. This film ends up on a sour note and will find it tough to sustain at the box office for few days. Director failed to use the services of an able star cast and good production values. You may watch it at your own peril.
Verdict: Boring Krishnayya

Auto Nagar Surya Movie Review
Story:
Surya (Naga Chaitanya) is raised in the streets of Autonagar after his parents gets murdered by goons. At sixteen years old Surya kills a rowdy and goes to prison. He gets graduated in the jail and plans to settle down by launching battery car. He wanted to start garage in Autonagar to fulfill his dreams. Then he figured out that the complete area including the association and workers union is under the powerful mayor and his goons. “Manishi ante ilane brathakali ani nirnayinchedi kadhu Vyavastha, Manishe Vyavastha” believing these words Surya goes againt the corrupted System. Will he succeed in making Autonagar from the goons structures the storyline
Star Performance:
Naga Chaitanya – This is a challenging role for Naga Chaitanya who has done lover boy roles in his profession as such. He did well and carried the film upon his shoulders. However one gets an inclination that Chaitanya could wait for few more years before accepting mass leader characters. but the way Chaitanya goes about his character, and dialogue delivery is great. Naga Chaitanya has astonishing screen presence in this film.
Samantha – She got very limited role in this movie. she is only only for songs, cinematographer failed to capture her in a right way.
Jithendra – Jithendra(Chakravakam fame), makes his debut as a villain with the film. He is fine at first half however soon transforms into a cartoon with his over the top act.
Saikumar is given a underwritten role in the film where the vast majority of the characters have got great lines. He tries his best to captivate the audience but the character fails him.
Nandu – Young actor Nandu, delivered great performance as Chaitu’s friend. He has a meaty role, and does justice to his character.
Brammi and Venu Madhav got wasted and failed to deliver comedy.
Technical Team:
Music by Anup Rubens is not his finest but two songs do register. Sadly picturization and placements of songs is bad. Background music is inconsistent in parts but just ok overall.
Editing could have been better. The film drags on and on at times especially in the second half. There are so many lengthy scenes in the film.
Cinematography is not bad. Art Department did a great job.
Dialogues of the film is pretty good. Deva Katta have penned some extra ordinary lines.
Screenplay of the film is just average. first half established good tempo for second half, but with the slow narration and unwanted scenes things went wrong in second half.
Direction – Deva Katta disappointed this time after the success of ‘Prasthanam’. He has shown more interest in showing richness in scenes and failed to picturise them in aninteresting way. writer in hime dominated the director and penned some good dailogues in the movie, few of them are not necessary for the movie.

Analysis:
The film started well with high tempo in establishing the characters in first half and things went wrong in second half. On the whole this just another average flick from Naga Chaitanya.
