If there was one constant statement from TDP after 2009 polls debacle, it was that ‘Grand Alliance’ and YSR-led Congress party vote share difference was only 1.3 %. The cadre of TDP was vexed with this statement. This is because according to them what matters finally is victory and not such excuses and only after TDP gained people’s confidence it was able to come to power. 

Now same is the case with YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy. Instead of doing some soul searching truly and set things right, Jagan has always been harping on one thing i.e the victory margin between them is only 5 lakhs. Initially it was a face saver but the cadre and leaders of Jagan’s party are reportedly getting vexed. 

This is including some of the neutral media who are asking whether Jagan can genuinely fight Chandrababu’s failed promises of loan waiver and farmers issues due to new capital or whether he would be only chanting this ‘only 5 lakh difference’ excuse all the time!

Sources from NTR Trust Bhavan have revealed various new developments about the capital of AP. As per TDP sources that AP Government is in thought of laying foundation stone for AP new capital before the June 02nd (Formation of Telangana state). Tentatively either Ugadi (New Year for Telugu People) or birth anniversary of late NTR (May 28th) are the days that AP Government is considering for the construction of new capital.

AP has a plan to procure land for the capital by the end of March’2015. It took 9 to 12 months to develop the area. Reportedly, AP Chief Minister CBN has many dreams on construction of the new capital. As per the sources, the Secretariat of AP would consist of 44 floors. CBN seeks to construct the AP Assembly like a monument. The entire construction of the Assembly will built with Granite Stone. 

CBN took all necessary steps to construct important buildings like Raj Bhavan, Assembly, Police Commissionrate and Secretariat in Guntur district only. But Chief Minister’s official residence will be located in Vijayawada. Plan to develop Gardens for 20 KM across the Krishna River from Prakasam Barrage to Borupalem. Singapore Government is drafting the entire plan of construction of the capital in AP.

Ace tennis star of India Sania Mirza has achieved yet another jewel in her crown on Tuesday, when she was appointed for United Nations’ good will ambassador for women empowerment. In her new responsibility, she would help raise awareness on violence against women. 

She generated much curiosity among her fans with her tweet in the afternoon. She tweeted “Very exciting news to share this afternoon.. Stay tuned.” Speaking to media later, Sania, who was recently appointed as the brand ambassador of Telangana, said she would perform her responsibilities accorded by the United Nations, at her level best. 

She said she would fight for eradicating violence against the women and standing against all obstacles. She opined that there is a clear discrimination against women in the society. Later in a series of tweets, the tennis star revealed “Honoured to be the UN good will ambassador for women empowerment and to fight for violence against women.”

The YSR Congress party on Tuesday demanded a thorough investigation into the foreign trips of Chandrababu Naidu, the purpose, programme and result as he has been on many such visits to further his business interests ignoring the people’s issues.

“At a time when drought conditions are prevailing in the State on one hand and the Hudhud Cyclone affected people are left in the lurch, Chief Minister going on foreign trips spending huge amounts of public money is only to further the business interests of his coterie,” party MLA G Sreekanth Reddy told reporters here on Tuesday. A GO was issued sanctioning Rs 1.5 crore as advance for his Japan trip and his entourage has been busy to improve its business relations. 

Going by the past experience as in the nine year tenure, Chandrababu Naidu has not brought a single multi-crore project to the State. On the contrary he has business interests in Far eastern nations and his frequent visits should be brought under a competent scanner, he said. While the foreign jaunts prove to be personal, he has been creating hype with the help of his friendly media that much is happening on the development front. The State should be categorical as to how much investment in being brought and what is the amount spent on the trips abroad, he said.

Telangana TDP deputy floor leader A Revanth Reddy does not want to leave Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao just like that. He has decided to hound KCR on the controversial DLF land allotment issue, claiming that he had all the evidences to nail the Chief Minister. 

On Tuesday, Revanth told media that he would approach the High Court with regard to DLF land issue. As an Opposition party, they have responsibility of exposing the mistakes of the Government. The people will decide on the result and he has no link with the outcome in the Court, he added. 

The TRS government is said to be completely on the defensive, as the evidences available with the Opposition clearly indicating that it has favoured My Home Group chairman Rameshwar Rao by allotting precious land in lieu of the land allotted by the APIIC in the past. The loss to the State exchequer is said to be more than Rs 200 crore.

Union Government’s decision to rename Shamshabad Airport domestic terminal after NTR is leading to charges and counter charges between ruling TRS and opposition TDP and Congress. While TDP is supporting the name change, TRS is opposing it saying Telangana donot want any Andhra leader names. 

Congress meanwhile is opposing name change since at present domestic terminal is named after former PM Rajiv Gandhi. Even after Assembly passed resolution opposing name change, sparks are flying on the entire issue. Congress leader V.Hanumantha Rao said naming the domestic terminal after NTR is only for political gains of TDP. 

He said he will write letter to Telangana CM KCR demanding inquiry on the death of NTR and the circumstances which lead to his death. He said truth should comeout whether NTR died due to insult or due to ill health. He said his party will respect him as a legendary film actor and reminded that NTR’s statue was installed in Parliament main hall during UPA regime.
