Director-producer Ravi Chopra, son of producer-director BR Chopra and nephew of director-producer Yash Chopra, passed away on Wednesday at 3.30 pm at a hospital in Mumbai. Ravi was 68-year-old. He was suffering from a severe lung ailment for a while and had been treating at Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai. He is survived by his wife and three children. 

Ravi had directed films like Baghbaan, The Burning Train, Aaj Ki Awaz and Baabul besides several other films. Ravi’s final rites will be taken place on Thursday morning in Mumbai. Several Bollywood celebrities are expected to present at the funeral. Ravi Chopra, who happen to be the cousin of Aditya and Uday Chopra, recently produced Bhoothnath and Bhoothnath Returns, starring Amitabh Bachchan.

Ever since ‘Jabardasth’ clicked big time, its hot anchor Anasuya shot to fame like a rocket soaring in the high skies. Probably she is the one who added glamour to talkativeness and then cemented her position after the likes of Suma, Jhansi and Udayabhanu. A point to be noted is that this hot married lady is now eating away all the attention irking other hotties around. The other day Anasuya hosted audio launch of Varun Sandesh’s latest movie ‘Ee Varsham Sakshiga’. 

Along with leading heroine of the film Hari Priya, other beauties like Diksha Panth, Srivani have attended the event. Surprisingly, it is Anasuya who looked more gorgeous than all of them, maybe for the kind of shimmering black dress she is wearing. Also her charms and talkativeness took everyone by a storm. “Anasuya is an eye-catcher and her recent acts like dances in TV shows and naughty acting in Ali’s version of Comedy Nights have carved a niche” stated onlookers.

Like Sunil in Telugu, Santanam is very popular in Tamil. Call it coincidence, but Santanam is also a successful hero in Tamil right now. In fact, Sunil’s Telugu hit Maryada Ramanna has been remade in Tamil as Vallavanaku Pullum Aayudham. Just like Sunil, Santanam too has played important roles alongside top Tamil heroes and is a much sought after comedian-turned-hero in Tamil industry. Allari Naresh too tried to cash in on his success formula by acting in the remake of Santanam’s Tamil hit Jumpu Jeelani, but his film failed at the box office.

Meanwhile, Santanam says he is quite happy with the way his career has shaped up and reveals that he has offers to act opposite Nayanatara and Trisha. Apparently, ground work is being done before the films go on to the sets. But Santanam is a smart actor and says he will continue doing plum comedy roles alongside top actors in big films. And if a chance arises, he says he is also looking forward to doing a straight Telugu film. Well, we wish him luck and hope to see him in a Telugu film soon.

Well, our heroes too love their fans but sometimes, it will be difficult for them as their shootings get disturbed. Currently, NTR and Mahesh Babu are shooting for their forthcoming films in Goa and Pune respectively.

NTR and Puri have to extend their shoot time in Goa airport as lot of people jammed over their to catch a glimpse of Tarak. Even Mahesh faced similar situation in Pune while he was shooting along with Shruti Haasan. Production team plans the time duration for each and every shot and when fans abrupt shootings, it will be tough task for them to extend or re-schedule the shoots.

Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says daughters are special and help to bind a family together. The father of Shweta Nanda is all praise for daughters. “Daughters are special very special. They become the soul of the home. They are the reason for the warmth that embraces us all,” he shared on his official blog srbachchan.tumblr.com, Tuesday.

“They conduct, command, secure, analyse, dictate, rule, govern and spread that tender thread which binds an entire family together.” “They are reason. They are consult. They are opinion. They are guidance. They are supreme,” he added. The 72-year-old then shared his photographs with actress Deepika Padukone with whom he is filming “Piku” in Kolkata.

One more film of Manchu family pushed distributors and buyers in to deep losses. Manchu Manoj’s Current Theega which had a decent first weeked dropped drastically there after and has ended up as a big flop. The film had a disastrous run in its weekdays and did not register any growth over the second weekend too indicating the ‘Utter Flop’ result. Even the evening shows of the film on Sunday failed to attract decent crowds.

The film collected 5 Crores in the first 10 days of its release and more or less this will be the final collections of the film. To understand the extent of failure more clearly we take two examples here, Krishna district rights of the movie were picked up for 60 Lakhs but the film just managed to collected 36 Lakhs here. 40% Loss here. And the Nellore rights for the film were bagged for a whopping 40 Lakhs and the film just collected 22 Lakhs here and about 50% losses here as a result. The losses are similar in all the areas of the Telugu States.

Shocked! But yes. It seems Pawan Kalyan has said given a negative start to Gabbar SIngh-2 by just rejecting all the scripts narrated by Bobby too. The movie Gabbar Singh-2 has been a truly prolonged projectd by still rated to be a most awaited product from Pawan. But shockingly, Sampath Nandi was thrown out of the project due to his scripts that did not impress Pawan and now, after Sampath it was Bobby,Power fame. 

As we all thought that the movie might have started off with Bobby at least, but it seems even Bobby’s scripts are facing Pawan’s rejection. There is a buzz that Pawan has nodded yes for the producer of Gabbar Singh to do another film instead of this entertaining film. It seems the is listening to other scripts that are message oriented.

So, we still need to wait another few days because is he doesn’t like the other scripts then GS-2 might start. But, this is surely a depressing news to all the fans and the all the unit that has been waiting for GS-2 leaving all other projects behind. So, will Pawan erase all their hopes in ne NO? Well, let’s wait and see till the unit confirms on the movie!

As per the TAM data, MEK has recorded 17.61 TVR in CS Female AB 25-44 Years category, 14.58 TVR in CS Female ABC 25+ years category, 10.20 TVR in CS Male ABC 15+ Years category, 12.31 TVR in CS ABC 15-44 Years category and 10.15 TVR in CS 4+ Years category, which is a record of sort for a game show in Telugu. According to an estimate, over 4 Crore Telugu people have watched Meelo Evaru Koteeswarufu game show in Season 1 and is aiming to reach wider range of audience in the next season.
