Tamanna dedicates ‘full time’ for Mahesh Babu

Share

Tamann

Tamanna has finally got the chance to romance Mahesh Babu on screen. She got two chances earlier to pair opposite the Prince Charming, but Tamanna couldn’t grab that offers due to busy schedules. But this time she is not in mood to let it go. She knows how big a star Mahesh Babu is and what does a successful movie with him can do to her career.

Tamanna has given bulk dates to Mahesh Babu’s Aagadu. She will not be doing any other film until she wraps up her part for this film. She has rejected two good offers recently for the same. Srinu Vytla has written a very good role for Tamanna in this film it seems. The actress is pretty excited about it.

She anyways has two films in Hindi and Tamil to release in January and March. So she won’t be missed if she is stuck with Aagadu. Srinu Vytla wants to complete Aagadu in a flash and even Mahesh Babu has given his bulk dates for this film. Aagadu is slated for late summer release next year. Hope it will make it in time.

This director uses women only for sex !

Top Telugu director Ram Gopal Varma is one who never minces his words. He is noted for his critical yet candid comments.

RGV was once approached by singer-actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthy to marry her and here is Ramu’s shocking reply. RGV told: ‘Suchitra I think you have misunderstood me. Completely. We are not similar at all. Never. I don’t believe in the institution of marriage. I am just not the marrying kind. I use women only for sex and I am very sure that’s not what you want. I like women’s bodies but not their brains. In my opinion, a woman should be seen and not heard.’

Suchitra was then wife of veteran director Shekhar Kapur. She acted in RGV’s films like Rann and My Wife’s Murder. The whole issue came into light lately as Suchitra wrote it in her book Fictional Memoir quoting RGV

Mind Blowing Twist in Yevadu !

Share

Yevadu

With Yevadu set for release on December 19 as per the makers, we can shift our focus on to this film as it would be the next biggie to hit the marquee. There won’t be any big releases in Telugu for at least four weeks from now. That should be a blessing in disguise for Yevadu as the drought would help the film to fetch huge openings.

Reports for this film have been encouraging. The buzz around Yevadu has always been good ever since the movie was ready for release. However, due to unavoidable circumstances, Yevadu release has been delayed and finally it is making to theaters on December 19th as of now. The story of this film is very unique and different from the regular stuff, sources say.

There will be many twists and turns in the film and the particular twist involving Allu Arjun’s character that comes in the second half will blow you away! Inside reports on Yevadu are too good and the makers are pretty confident about the success of the film. They believe that this film will be huge blockbuster even if it is delayed for more than a year. Well, seems like festival is coming up for mega fans sooner than expected.

The wedding will be in traditional Kerala style but reception will stick to true Rajasthani style as Nain, girlfriend of Sreesanth, belongs to one of the royal families of Rajasthan. It’s a love-cum-arranged marriage. Nain is a jewellery designer and she apparently met Sreesanth during a match in Rajasthan some seven years ago and eventually fall for each other. Nain has been his pillar of support to him during the tough times and it didn’t affect their relationship.
The whole wedding celebrations will be three-day affair and the couple may settle down in Kerala post wedding.

Sharmila Spoiling Jagan’s Chances

Share

Sharmila, who is popularized as an arrow fired from Jagan’s bow, has now changed her direction to point at Jagan itself. Rumours are rife that she is at logger heads with her own brother leading to a panicky situation in YSR Congress that the rift may spoil Jagan’s chances in 2014 elections.

When Jagan is kept behind bars regarding his indefinite assets cases, undoubtedly it is Sharmila who took responsibilities. By touring the state twice, she filled new spirits in party cadre. Also the incomparable Paada Yaatra resulted in big turnout of audiences for Jagan’s party and convinced them that YSR-C is the only saviour. However, things are not the same after Jagan granted a bail, and post his release from Chanchalguda.

Just a day before the release of her brother, Sharmila visited party central office in Hyderabad, and held meetings with leaders, as if she is taking the power-centre into hands. But after Jagan’s release, she suddenly disappeared from all activities of the party. Neither had she attended Jagan’s first media meet, nor his indefinite-fast and not even when he visited Idupulapaya recently. But to the dismay of party cadre, she visited her father’s memorial a day after Jagan’s visit. Not stopping there, Sharmila went alone without taking any party men with her. All these things are making the line of differences clear.

Reports have that Sharmila is urging her brother to announce her name as candidate for Kadapa Loksabha seat, which Jagan is not willing to. Fed up with his unmovable behaviour, the-arrow is keeping away from YSR Congress. Cadres doubt that splits and differences within the family may lead to the fade out of party’s charm and might affect the chances of grabbing power in 2014 hugely.

Is she another Soundarya?

Share

Soundarya is one actress who carved a niche for herself and carried films on her shoulders. And yes, no one could replace her. But when a heroine does a good job, mana film industry people always step in to compare with Soundarya. They did it for Laya, Bhumika, Anushka, Nayanthara and the list is endless.

And the latest to join this bandwagon is Nithya Menen. And the surprising compliment was given by none other than yesteryear actress and director Vijaya Nirmala. Hence, this comment holds some weight.

Contrary to it, Nithya Menen’s previous films Okkadine and Jabardasth turned out to be duds but her recent film Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde is money spinner at Box Office. Is it fair to call Nithya as ‘Maro Soundarya’ just because of this? Even, Nithya’s filmography is not so impressive. It’s for you to decide whether it’s fine to place Nithya on the radar of extraordinary actor like Soundarya.

Hansika broke up with that Hero!

Share

Hansika openly admitted that she is seeing Tamil hero Simbu and tweeted that they both are in love. Even Simbu also stated that he is in relation with Hansika and will marry her when the right time comes. But the latest news is the star couple have split and parted ways for unknown reasons. They are avoiding each other in public too.

Recently Hansika came to an award ceremony and took her award and left the venue in a jiffy. Later Simbu came to the event thus avoiding bumping into her in public. This has ignited the rumors of the split and the couple is yet to confirm about their breakup. In an interesting development Simbu is now doing a film with Nayantara, his ex love.

Both Hansika and Nayanatara were ruling the roost in Tamil cinema when they fell for Simbu, who is labeled as the Casanova of Kollywood cinema by the media. Recently Simbu felt bad about media’s remarks against him. Fast forward to few weeks and he has split with Hansika too!

Pawan Kalyan’s ‘curse’ to directors!

Share

There are some sentiments in film industry which may sound silly on the outset, but would seem interesting if we follow keenly. One such sentiment associated with Pawan Kalyan was all the directors that did their second film with him have given flops. That was wiped out by Trivikram, who gave back to back hits to Pawan with Jalsa and Attarintiki Daredi.

Now Trivikram will have to get rid of Pawan Kalyan’s ‘famous curse’ and pull off another hit with his next film. Until now every director that delivered hit with Pawan Kalyan failed with their immediate film. Starting from Toliprema to Gabbar Singh none of the Pawan’s hit directors could be successful with their next film.

Karunakaran flopped with Yuvakudu right after Toliprema. Arun Prasad’s Bhale Vadivi Basu was a flop which came after Tammudu. Puri Jagannadh’s Bachi that followed Badri was a disaster. SJ Surya failed with Nani after giving blockbuster Khushi. Even Trivikram failed with Khaleja after Jalsa. Latest to join the list was Harish Shankar, who fumbled with Ramayya Vastavayya after Gabbar Singh. Now it is Trivikram’s turn again. His next is with Allu Arjun and can he put an end to this ‘curse’ by completing hits hattrick? Let’s see.

Rajinikanth’s fear for Mahesh Babu’s 1!

Share

Mahesh Babu’s Khaleja which was released few days after Robo ended up as a disaster. It was a total washout due Robo wave despite average reports. Now the Telugu Superstar is all set to face the South Indian Superstar at the box office again. This time Mahesh’s 1 is clashing with Rajani’s Vikrama Simha.

Mahesh’s range as a star has increased after Dookudu and this time his film will definitely not go unnoticed no matter how big a success Vikrama Simha is. Moreover Vikrama Simha is an animated movie (motion capture) and this genre films are yet to make a mark in India.

We can expect payback from Mahesh Babu this time if the clash is inevitable. Vikrama Simha release has been postponed many a time and there could be another postponement too. But it would be interesting if the superstars clash at the box office for this Pongal.

Pawan Kalyan to share dias with Governor

Share

It’s all official. Pawan Kalyan is going to share dias with Governor ESL Narsimhan during the closing ceremony of the 18th International Children’s Film Festival (ICFFI) which will is scheduled to take place in a few more hours in Hyderabad. While the opening ceremony of the Golden Elephant was graced by Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor, lyricist Gulzar, Union Minister Manish Tiwari, CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and our T-town star Rana Daggubati, the closing ceremony is going to have Powerful guest in form of Pawan Kalyan.

While Pawan is all set to grace the valedictory function of the internationally popular film festival going to be held Today at Lalitha Kala Thoranam in Nampally, however it is not sure whether Pawan would make an entry with his kids Akira Nandan and Aadhya or will he make a solo entry.Considering that Pawan attending the event, police forces have been deployed to control the massive crowds. Though Pawan confirmed his presence long back, he apparently requested the organizers to keep it under wraps in order to restrict his fans to not disturb the children’s fest and want to keep it a low-key affair. That’s why the makers were tight lipped about his visit and with only hours left, the news is finally out. The other guests include Minister D.K Aruna, IAS officers Shiva Shankar, Dhana Kishore and IRS office Shravan Kumar.

New headache for Yevadu from ‘Bunny n Cherry’

Share

Yevadu will be remembered as one of the biggest sufferers in the history of Telugu cinema. Even after being cleared by censors and announcing the release date, the movie was forced to be postponed due to the situation in the state. Later Ram Charan’s disastrous performance of Thoofan pushed the film further.

Now when the film is getting ready for release a new headache aroused because of a low budget movie. This film is titled Bunny n Cherry starring Prince and Mahat as heroes. The concept of this film is pretty identical to that of Yevadu in which Cherry and Bunny are playing the leads.

Yevadu storyline has been making rounds in film nagar for quite some time now and Bunny n Cherry team has made a film using that. If Yevadu story is similar to this one Bunny and Cherry might cause slight problems for the biggie. Although a small budget film’s reach may not be as big as Yevadu, it may work as curiosity killer and spoiler to Ram Charan’s movie.

I’m Not A Dog: Kangana Ranaut

Share

Known for her candid replies and simple answers, curly haired beauty Kangana has once again gone too honest while talking about marriage and stuff. This time the actress made it clear that she is not a dog, a trained dog, especially. Let us find out what our hottie actually said.

Interacting with a leading film critic, Bollywood’s ravishing siren Kangana Ranaut shared that marriage is not her cup of tea. ‘I don’t think the institution of marriage suits me, as I never feel that marriage is quintessential for a woman’, says Kangana, adding that it is parents who are stressing on their girl-kids that marriage is the destiny of their life.

‘During childhood, my mom and dad used to teach me how I should behave at my in-laws house after marriage. Am ‘I a dog that gets trained in all aspects and performs like a package in front of a new owner? No, I’m not!’ she said.

Talking about the kind of guy she is looking for a relation at least not a marriage, the striking beauty says that she wants a man who got sensibility for all the things around, and who never feels tense. ‘I’m not going to see anyone from film industry, any hero or director, as their work-schedule always looks like they are carrying the whole world. I want someone with a peace of mind’, she concluded.

That’s Kangana for you folks!

All eyes on Nayantara’s marriage

Share

With Nayantara turned 29 on Monday, all eyes are on the actor’s marriage plans. Industry folks are curious that whether Nayan would make any announcement regarding her marriage on her birthday. But to their dismay, Chandramukhi star remained tight lipped. Considering that she earlier had two bad experiences (Prabhudheva and Simbhu) in personal relationships, she doesn’t want to take anymore chances this time around and doesn’t want to open up until and unless everything gets finalized.

Sources close to the actress confirmed that presently her focus is on her filmy career and she is not thinking about anything else. Nayan’s recent offing in Tamil Arrambam is a hit and she is on a roll in Telugu as well. Her last film Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum was a moderate hit. She is currently doing a bilingual film Anamika (remake of Kahaani) directed by Sekhar Kammula and B.Gopal-Gopichand’s film.

Nayan has flown to Kochi to spend her birthday with her family. Looks like, bad experiences in her life taught her many things.

Iron Leg Lady in Balakrishna’s Legend

Share

If an actress fails to deliver a success even after multiple attempts, she will be branded as ‘iron leg lady’ by the filmy people as well as the media. Sameera Reddy is one such unluckiest actress that failed to make it big in Tollywood despite numerous chances thrown at her. She had the privilege to work with superstars like Chiranjeevi and NTR Jr., but success eluded her.

All of Sameera Reddy’s Telugu direct films were flop. Even her dubbed films didn’t do well. She was last seen in Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum, in which she did an item song. KVJ also failed at the box office to Sameera’s misery and she couldn’t get rid of that iron leg tag. Now she has got another opportunity to score first hit in Telugu.

Sameera Reddy will be doing an item song in upcoming Balakrishna’s film Legend. This film is being directed by Boyapati Srinu and there is lot of buzz around it. Sameera Reddy’s song will be shot in January first week. Let’s see if Sameera Reddy can get lucky with the Legend or not.

Five Star Rating For Her Is Funny

Share

Parallel with its bollywood release, ace film maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s latest movie ‘Ram Leela’ released in Andhra Pradesh too, at all A centres and in Hindi version. Let us have a look at the surprise our audiences are getting at theatres with this movie, and after watching Deepika Padukone.

All those Bollywood based entertainment channels have rated ‘Ram Leela’ with five stars out of five, and are in admiration of Deepika. But once if Telugu audience look at the movie, they are confused why the flick and that heroine got such a huge rating. In fact, the storyline of this movie is quite old, rusted, tried and tested in Telugu industry from ages. A girl and boy from enemy groups (like Rayalaseema faction) fall in love, and they sacrifice their love to unite their families and a silly climax is what forms the story line of ‘Ram Leela’. Heroine needs to dance in songs, weep at times, shed tears and finally have some laughs even while crying. We have seen 100s of Telugu flicks with the same line. In that case ‘5 stars’ given for Ram-Leela and Deepika are funny, say many.

Some say that Bhansali’s narration won points, while others add that the lavish and painterly look of the movie scored brownie. Whatever it is, Telugu audiences are saying that first half of this Leela is better, while Deepika and second half are just average.

Charan fans unhappy with Pawan’s record!

Share

Yes, you’ve read it right. Few mega fans aren’t happy with the fact that Attarintiki Daredi has beaten the all time record of Magadheera. Especially few Ram Charan fans, who treat Charan as the true successor to Chiranjeevi, don’t feel good that Pawan Kalyan has taken the all time record crown with AD.

It has been a while since Magadheera record was broken and AD emerged as the new industry hit of Tollywood. All the box office tracking websites and other trade sources agreed upon the fact that Magadheera record has been beaten by Attarintiki Daredi. However, few fans of Ram Charan are contradicting the reports. They believe that Magadheera record is still intact.

When all the other hero fans (Mahesh fans who believe Dookudu has beaten Magadheera too agree upon AD’s No.1 status) and all the media sources are unanimously saying that AD is the new industry hit, it is strange to see few mega fans having problems with Pawan’s success. Keeping those silly fanatical claims aside, there is no doubt about AD’s industry hit status. Even Magadheera’s director and Attarintiki Daredi producer have made it clear about this.

“Powerless” Telangana!

Share

There are fears being expressed that the newly formed Telangana will be severely lacking power capacity and will also fall short of funds is now having its slow effect. This is just a tip of the iceberg of various issues that Telangana state will face if it forms.

Notwithstanding the euphoria over possible Telangana statehood, now there are reports that various farmer groups in Telangana have started demanding what will be the solution for this. Till now CM Kiran has been saying this and now even Jaipal Reddy admitted to this fact!
Once Telangana is created, the power demand is expected to be 8000 MW while production will be around 4500 MW and at the same time most irrigation projects in the region including Pranahitha Chevella are all lift irrigation schemes which means heavy power is needed to lift the water and transfer them into canals.
For an installed capacity to meet the current shortfall and future requirements, Telangana will require atleast 60,000 crores of immediate investment so that atleast after four years there may be no much shortage. But who will give so many funds and where will they find them and who will complete it in four years?
