The latest buzz doing rounds in tinsel town is that struggling and budding actress Komal Jha is seeing veteran actor Madhavan. Although it sounds biggest joke for many in industry as many even don’t know who the Komal Jha is. For all, she has acted a small role ini Chinna Cinema and a second fiddle role in Varun Sandesh’s Priyatama Nee Vachata Kusalama.

The buzz is that Komal is hanging around with Madhavan and even went to coffee shops and often spending some time with the married hero. Although Madhavan is a family guy and married, he is still considered as a chocolate boy and has a superb fan following among girls.

But a few who have came to know Komal’s version has shocked with her clarification. Komal says, “Madhavan is a good friend of mine. I first met him during the shooting of 3 Idiots in IIM campus when I was studying my engineering. Yes we did hangout in coffee shops at Dubai airport. Can’t two good friends chat if they happen to meet accidentally at airport or hotel?”

One is laughing at her comments. She was earlier in the news for alleging Varun Sandesh that he ‘flirted’ with her. And now Madhavan. It looks much like a stunt to eye media attention. It’s better for her to concentrate on acting career rather than trying for cheap publicity. Not even, Komal did a Tamil film to have a connection. So, rumour mongers say this is certainly a big joke in film industry folks.

Story:

Adda opens with stylish entry by Abhi [Sushanth] a youngster specialized in creating rifts between lovers to raise money. Shanvi [Priya] approaches Abhi seeking a help for her sisters’s love marriage with Avasarala Rambabu. Meanwhile, duo starts liking each-other and a predictable twist is here. Actual story starts when Abhi writes a love letter to Priya and she gets impressed. How will Abhi manage to win Priya’s heart is climax of Adda.

Performance:

Sushanth has touched fox’s tail for tremendous openings that happened due to postponement of Attarintiki Daredi. While the actor’s expressions were ok, his dance knowledge helped him to go well with songs and the dialogue delivery needs an expression change with each.

Shanvi has given her best, as Priya she is a glam doll and feast to watch on screen.

Rest of the cast, Raghubabu, Jayaprakash Reddy, Dhanraj, Venu and Thagubothu Ramesh has done their parts well.

Shwetha Bharadwaj is hot in the item number and Special appearances by Nagarjuna and ANR in ‘Endukey’ song are appealing.

Technical Analysis:

Sai Karthik’s debut may not go well with all centers of audiences, as the script is not quite enthralling and slow paced narration. Somehow, his screenplay gelled with audiences specially teenagers.
Anoop Rubens musicals have helped the movie. Even though the choreography elevated the audio, few tracks were wasted
Arun Kumar’s cinematography is ok. Editing could have been done better, as the climax and pre-climax appears to be exhausted.

Analysis:

Sushanth’s Adda is a drag for simple script with predictable twists. Debutant director Sai Karthik is potent that he made audiences to sit with his screenplay and comedy bits here and there. While the movie is not so gripping, climax and pre-climax scenes doomed.
Anoop Rubens scores are appealing but were placed untimely and few wasted. Sushanth is watchable with trendy look and Shanvi is an asset for Adda. First half is quite entertaining compared to the second because of one-liners and comic scenes.
Totally, crispy one-liners, dance and few songs are the highlights of Adda.

Final Verdict:

Watch Adda for one-liners, cheerful first half with good work by Anoop Rubens, if you are free this weekend…

Stop T and appoint second SRC

Seemandhra central ministers met at the residence of the union minister Chiranjeevi here on Thursday and discussed about the stand they should adopt when they appear before the Antony Committee later this evening.

It is learnt that the union ministers decided to ask the government to stop state bifurcation and appoint a second States’ Reorganization Commission to decide the matter. It is learnt that the ministers expressed the view that the Congress party’s promise was only to appoint the Second SRC and not straight away conceding the Telangana state.

Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, Panabaka Lakshmi, Purandeswari and others were present at the meeting.

Mohan Babu and Lakshmi may contest from BJP

Several film biggies meeting the Gujarat Chief Minister Narender Modi during his recent visit has become a hot political topic in the state now.

While BJP is confident that it could do well in the Telangana region, the party’s state leadership is doubtful about its performance in the Seemandhra region because of its pro-Telangana stand. Sources say the party might field some film personalities in the Seemandhra region, say sources.

Mohan Babu was a key leader in the TDP. He was a Rajya Sabha member of the party. Of the other film personalities who met Modi, Krishnam Raju and Kota Srinivasa Rao were former leaders. Krishnam Raju was elected twice to the Lok Sabha on BJP ticket and was also a minister of the Vajpayee cabinet. Kota Srinivasa Rao was MLA. Now it is learnt that Krishnam Raju might be once again fielded by the BJP from Kakinada or Narsapur Lok Sabha constituency. Kota who was defeated in 2004 from Vijayawada, might be fielded from the Vijayawada (East) constituency, say sources.

Reports said that Mohan Babu tried to contest from the YSR Congress but was disillusioned with the way he was cold-shouldered by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. It is learnt that he and his daughter Lakshmi might contest from the BJP from their Chittoor district.

KCR cheating Sonia?

But with the growing anti incumbency against Congress party all over the country, sources say KCR is of the opinion that in case Congress cannot come to power at centre, then why take a political step which only favours short term.

It is in this context that KCR is often telling media that he will consider a proposal for merger only when Telangana bill is passed but reports say that during a brainstorming meeting at his Medal farm house KCR has explained the merits of not merging with Congress thereby hinting them that there is no use for them even if they leave TRS and join Congress.

Jr NTR caught like Abhimanyu

The epic Mahabharata has many heroes but one man stands out. He is Abhimanyu. Caught in the midst of powerful Kaurava warriors, Abhimanyu fought till his last breath and in a way he was cornered by all sides with trouble. Now, some of the filmnagar members are saying the position of Junior NTR has become like that.

This is because of the positioning of his film ‘Ramayya Vastavayya’. This is releasing on September 27th. But on September 9th Ram Charan is arriving with ‘Thoofan’ and again on October 10th he is coming again with ‘Yevadu’. This means NTR has to make the maximum benefit out of his film in that small window.

Apart from being caught in this situation, the other problem for him is his somewhat weak box office record. His last film ‘Baadshah’ did not really do wonders so NTR is yet to give a proper hit to prove his stardom and following. To top it all, there is the ongoing political agitation and NTR might have to answer the demand of the Samiakyandhra activists too. Only time will tell how he will come out of all this.

Do you have Spectacles?: “Yes, I do wear glasses ever since I was in 8th standard. My number is -2.5. I wear lenses while I am shooting and try not to exceed the lens wearing time for more than eight hours. I wear glasses when I am not shooting and when there aren’t too many people around me”.

Chances of doing a similar film like Magadheera: “Movies like Magadheera are classics and they are made just once. Seriously, kudos to Rajamouli sir for the courage to make a large-scale movie like it. I think, he is magician who creates magic. If I have to do a film similar to Magadheera, definitely YES if I am offered a strong script on par with it.”

If not actress, what other career you would have chosen?: “I would surely have done my MBA which is still on the agenda. I would have chosen marketing, like advertising and working for a brand”.

Offered to work with sister Nisha Agarwal: “Of course, I would do it. She is everything to me. Both of us would love to do it and jump at the opportunity, if a good script and both of us get performance-oriented roles. We wouldn’t want to overshadow one another”.

‘I rejected Balakrishna’s film’

Generally, Actresses don’t dare to talk openly about the projects they have turned down for various reasons. However, one actress shows she wouldn’t hesitate to speak out her mind.

Richa Gangopadhyay declares she has turned down Balayya’s upcoming film ‘Jayasimha’ which is being directed by Boyapati Seenu. “I have rejected Balakrishna’s film after just 20-minutes narration,” says the actress, who claims to be having her own set of rules and would never compromise on any aspects while signing projects.

After the success of ‘Mirchi’, Richa signed only one film and that’s ‘Bhai’ opposite Nagarjuna. Apart from Balakrishna’s film, she was approached for second heroine in ‘Atharintiki Daredi’, female lead in Venkatesh’s Shadow and Vishnu starrer ‘Doosukeltha’ and many other projects. She turned down all of them for reasons best known to her.

Critics say, The problem is with Richa’s attitude and the suitability aspect (more eligible for Second Heroine and less eligible for Female Lead). Usually, She gets to play only second fiddle in films with hotshots Heroes and main lead in projects with upcoming or 50-plus heroes. Contrary to this, Richa wishes to play female lead opposite young stars and avoid aged heroes. Of course, Nag is an exception. Thanks to his handsome looks in the 50s!

Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan Story Leaked

In an attempt to create curiosity among the fans, Makers have revealed the basic storyline of the movie. The King (Rajini) is a very skilled ruler and takes care of all the sections of the people in his Kingdom which grows much stronger during his tenure. However, few of ministers conspire to dethrone him in some way or the other. The Prince (Rajini – Dual Role) will be born just when the Ministers have got hold of the power by implementing their plans successfully. The King then goes into hiding cutting all the ties with his kingdom and trains his son in all kinds of martial art forms and administration skills. After gaining confidence, The Prince forms a group with his close confidants and chalks out a revolutionary plan to get hold of his Kingdom from the evil-minded Ministers. The story ends on a successful note with the accomplishment of the mission.

Critics say, The latest move of ‘Kochadaiyaan’ makers is intended to create enough interest among the fans about the project and also to keep the expectations under control by mentally preparing them for the warrior flick which was made with sophisticated Visual Effects that were not seen on Indian screen till date.

‘Kochadaiyaan’ which is slated for Diwali outing will have multi-language release (Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, English, Japanese, Chinese and Russain). Rajini’s daughter Soundarya directed this first of its kind film which is a blend of animation and live action.

Nothing Can Stop Charan’s ‘Thoofan’

Mega movies are facing the heat of Seemandhra agitation these days and the heroes are unable to declare a proper release date. Pawan’s Attarintiki Daredi is yet to get a date, while Yevadu is fixed for October 10th. But still the release is unsure with Seemandhra agitation not dying down.

Irrespective of these hurdles, one movie is unstoppable. It is none other than ‘Thoofan’. Mega Powerstar Ram Charan is going to debut in Bollywood with the remake of classic hit ‘Zanjeer’, and the date for release is September 6th. Director Apoorva Lakhia made it clear that there is no stopping for the release of Zanjeer and its Telugu version Thoofan. Arrangements are being made for the audio release of Thoofan on August 20th, and the Hindi version music already became a rage in Bollywood circuits. Also the Zanjeer/Thoofan is creating record of sorts when it comes to overseas release. The movie is hitting around 170 screens in Newyork-Newjersey Metro area, and this is the first time a Bollywood flick is hitting that many screens. Reliance Entertainment too confirmed that September 6th is going to be a feast.

Going by the way the promotion and release of Thoofan are planned, it seems Charan will be unstoppable irrespective of any agitation that is shaking Andhra Pradesh at the moment. We have to see how Ram Charan will click in Bollywood after the release of this flick.
