Ram Charan’s maiden Bollywood film ‘Zanjeer’ is a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1973 blockbuster. As a result, comparisons between the two films is inevitable.

However, Charan claims that his film is completely different from that of Big B’s and he is so sure about the newer version fetching universal acceptance for the level of freshness director has incorporated in it. Especially, the characterization of the protagonist and the action part is said to be the USP of the film. Cherry opines Apoorva Lakhia has presented ACP Vijay Khanna like never before on the silver screen and this aspect will be the deciding factor.

It is learnt that the entire family of Chiru and few close sources to the unit have already watched the final cut of ‘Zanjeer’. They have unanimously given thumbs up for the output and expecting a positive response from the audience as well.

Music release of both Zanjeer/Thoofan will happen by the July and the the song promos would be unveiled in the first week of August. The promotional campaign will be in full swing from next month for a grand Worldwide release on September 6th.

It’s all official. The makers of Pawan Kalyan’s forthcoming film Atharintiki Daredi have finally locked the dates of audio launch and film’s release, clearing the air of confusion surrounded the film for a while.

Now, the Pawan’s most anticipating film will be released on August 7 while the audio will be launched on July 19 unlike to previous reports of July 14. What’s more? The audio launch, which will have Pawan Kalyan’s presence, will be released in Hyderabad. After Jalsa and Gabbar Singh, Devi Sri Prasad has composed tunes for Pawan’s film.

Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the movie features Samantha, Pranitha in lead roles while Mumtaz and Hamsa Nandini as item girls. Billed to be an out and out family entertainer, there are huge expectations around this film. With date of film’s release and audio launch are out, Pawan’s fans are going all out and going ga-ga over the film.

Dancer-turned-actor-turned director Prabhu Deva has already chosen Sonakshi Sinha and Yami Gautham as two heroines of his next film with Ajay Devgan.

He has been on the look out for the third. This third should be a sexy bombshell. While several heroines sent feelers to him and Ajay Devgan, sources say that Miss India World 2010 Manasvi Mamgai has been chosen for the job.

Both the hero and the director felt that she has the necessary equipment and explosive material needed for that character. The new project will go on the floors on July 19.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) ordered a probe into the recent reported circulation of “objectionable” CCTV footage. Anuj Dayal, DMRC executive director of corporate communications, on Wednesday, informed that an internal probe was ordered and a complaint was lodged with cyber cell of city police. Anti-social activities have been happening in the Delhi Metro trains during non-peak hours and though there are CC TV cameras inside the compartments, no one ever bothered to take action about these activities. Now, footage of sexual activities had leaked and the videos even sneaked into porn sites. MMSes started flowing from one mobile phone to  the other.

As TV channels had also made a furor about the anti-social activities, DMRC ordered a probe. While anti-social activities taking place in the trains was one part of the story, the other is more serious and shocking. How did the footage of the security cameras slipped into the hands of porn sites? This worried the authorities more than the anti-social activities happening in the trains. Speaking about their action on the reported leakage of CCTV camera footage, Dayal said, “DMRC is conducting a thorough internal inquiry into the reports of circulation of objectionable video clips. The Delhi Metro management has already reported the issue to the Cyber Crime cell of the police.”

According to media reports, intimate moments of couples in the train and metro stations were captured in the videos. Total 13 videos have been uploaded on porn sites so far and these have been viewed by nearly 1.5 lakh people. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and DMRC had begun a blame game as the CCTV camera footage is accessed only by these two agencies. CISF Director General Rajiv said, “We are just the monitoring agency. DMRC controls the database into which this CCTV footage goes, and so the leak most likely happened at its end.”

On the contrary, DMRC employees, are stating that CISF officials are equally responsible for the videos captured by the CCTVs.

In a sudden turn around of events, Mega Brother Naga Babu’s son varun tej’s debut film is announced yesterday by none other than top producer Aswini Dutt on their banner of Vyjayamthi Movies. It is Krish of ‘Vedam’ and ‘KVJ’ fame who bagged the chance of directing this film which is going on sets from August coinciding exactly with the date of ‘Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari’ starting day of shoot. 

‘We are happy to introduce our Naga Babu’s son varun tej. Each of us liked the story narrated by Krish and thus floating the project in August. There will be Switzerland and London schedules in September and October followed by Hyderabad schedule in November. We are still to fix the two heroines. Later Krish is to direct a Hindi film and then ‘Krish’ with Mahesh Babu may start in next year,’ Aswini Dutt said. Music for this untitled film is to be scored by Mani Sharma.

Every project from sekhar kammula will be regarded as precious by Telugu audience. He is such a brand which sells good both in domestic and overseas circuit. Reason is his strong track record of ‘Anand, Happy Days, Leader’ etc. Now, when he is coming up with the remake of Bollywood film ‘Kahani’ in Telugu as ‘Anamika’ with Nayanathara as heroine, obviously there are high expectations. As shooting of the movie is going on at rapid pace, release is planned for coming Vijaya Dashami.

‘My creative urge to make more and more good films has increased with ‘Anamika.’ I am enjoying while directing this kind of a film,’ Sekhar expressed his happiness while Nayan said, ‘story is basically heroine centered and I am thrilled with the script. I am very happy to work under highly talented sekhar kammula.’

Like movies, promotions are necessary for all the businesses and same is applicable even for retail shopping outlets which have become rage in current market. Some how, Manjari phadnis who acted as heroine in Junior NTR movie ‘Shakti’ filed a legal case on one of the top shopping malls of Hyderabad for illegally using her photos on their promotional material. This mall has several retail chains in Hyderabad where in Manjari photos are used like a brand ambassador in hoardings and posters.

‘In 2010, I was invited to inaugurate one of their outlets. They requested me for a photo shoot to send invitation cards used for pre-event publicity. Out of goodwill and trust, I obeyed and they promised to remove the posters and hoardings in next six months. Since, I live in Mumbai I cannot check on if the hoardings were really down. As they are using me as a brand ambassador from then on, I lost many endorsements. So, I want a compensatory settlement,’ Manjari informed through media. There are reports that, it could be CMR Shopping Mall, the subject in case.

Kajal on hearing the news wonders whether he found his match from his own website. Kajal tweeted  “shaadi.com  CEO is getting married found better half in his own database of girls?”.

Her tweet was in response to the news that Shaadi.com CEO  is getting married. Kajal showing her sense of humour joked that probably he found a girl from his portal which is full of beautiful girls. Kajal is currently busy in Kollywood with All in All Azhagu Raja and Jilla.

It has been a month since Jiah Khan committed suicide, and finally her forensic report is out for us to know what could have gone wrong. But wait, the twist continues as the Director M K Malve of Kalina Forensic Lab is not revealing the details of the report and has in fact submitted the same to the investigating authorities.

However, sources have revealed that the report indicates presence of alcohol in Jiah’s blood test. Despite many efforts to contact the additional commissioner of police Vishwas Nangre, he was unavailable to confirm the details of Jiah’s forensic report.

Jiah Khan hanged herself in her Juhu flat in the first week of June. Before taking this extreme step Jiah supposedly had a heated altercation with her boyfriend and live-in partner Suraj Pancholi (Aditya Pancholi’s son). Reportedly, she had conceived with her boyfriend and had an abortion done too.

Later on, a six-page suicide note was found in the actress’ bedroom stating that she was harassed, tortured and raped. However, there were no names mentioned in the letter and based on circumstantial evidence and phone call records the police took Suraj into custody on charges of abetting the actress’ suicide.

Now, the onus is only and only on junior ntr because he is the only young hero in current generation whose potential is still not properly utilized. Though ‘Baadshah’ is a huge success, going by the cost of budget it is considered a flop. So, Tarak is still due at BO and he needs to prove. Now, the burden of Young Tiger is shifted on to director Harish Shankar. Yes, the talented director who pulled Pawan out of his bad times with an industry hit like ‘Gabbar Singh’ feels the same responsibility for NTR.

‘Ramayya Vastavayya’ with NTR as hero and Harish as director shaping up well on the banner of Dil Raju, Sources say that, movie will be a huge hit for sure but it is to be seen how far the range will be? Can it be one more BO shaking movie like ‘Gabbar Singh’? Wait and watch.

When it comes to two heroines besides one hero in one film, we have seen enough of friction moments developing to deter the flow of shooting. But, director Hari has well managed with Anushka and Hansika shooting for the ‘Singham Yamudu 2’ which is faring extra ordinary at Tollywood and Kollywood BO. But, as per the reports from both the industries it is the role of Hansika as Sathya getting more mileage in public than the glamour side of Anushka as Kavya.

To be crisper, hansika has got major screen time in first half of film until Anushka enters late. Then during the pre-climax and entire second half, hansika’s character drives the emotional sequences with a sacrificial ending. So, hansika will haunt the audience more than what Anushka has done because she is more for name and glamour sake while hansika’s character has a purpose when compared script wise.
