Anamika is remake of Bollywood hit Kahaani (2012) that tells the story of a woman’s search for her missing husband in Kolkata city. Endemol India is producing the film in Telugu and Tamil in Kammula’s direction and the movie is currently being progressed in Hyderabad. Kammula roping in senior music director Keeravani for this film surprises many. For, he has worked so far with relatively new music directors only – K M Radhakrishnan ( Anand & Godavari) and Mickey J Meyer ( Happy Days, Leader & Life is Beautiful) and all his films were musical hits. After working with Mickey three films continuously, Sekhar Kammula is now collaborating with Keeravani.
Anamika is a film that requires a music composer who has expertise in providing great background score. Anamika is more of a film that drives on BG score than the songs. So naturally he opted for Keeravani who has elevated many films by his great background score.
