Revanth–Naidu Contrast Sparks Fresh Debate on Women’s Reservation Bill

The debate around the women’s reservation bill linked with delimitation has quickly turned into a major talking point across India’s political landscape. Although the bill introduced by the NDA in the Lok Sabha failed to pass during voting, it continues to dominate headlines and spark intense discussions.

Amid this backdrop, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was questioned by national media in Delhi about remarks reportedly made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu regarding how delimitation could benefit South Indian states.

Responding to this, Revanth Reddy struck a measured tone. He said he had not fully heard Chandrababu Naidu’s comments but expressed confidence that the veteran leader would not make statements that harm South Indian interests. He added that Naidu, being highly experienced, might have been referring to the population aspect rather than directly addressing the political implications of delimitation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

However, this perception was soon challenged when Chandrababu Naidu, speaking at a public meeting, took a sharp dig at the Congress party. He stated that Congress had been misleading the country for nearly 30 years in the name of the women’s reservation bill.

This contrast between Revanth Reddy’s assumption and Chandrababu Naidu’s direct political attack has now become a fresh point of debate among Telugu political observers. The evolving discourse around the women’s reservation bill and delimitation is expected to remain a key political flashpoint in the coming days.
