The Regional Censor Board in Hyderabad had completed the censor proceedings of Naga Chaitanya and Sunil starer Thadaka on Monday. The board members had recommended few minor cuts for the movie and the makers have agreed for it. The movie finally was given U/A certificate with this the movie is all set to hit the screens worldwide on May 10th. The movie is carrying a good talk.

The movie is the remake of Tamil super hit film, Vettai. Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam fame Dolly is directing this film. Brahmanandam, Ashutosh Rana are playing important roles for which music is scored by Thaman.  Bellamkonda Suresh is producing the film on Sri Sai Ganesh Productions banner.

Budget issues have always been a big headache to Tollywood filmmakers. Now noted director S.S. Rajamouli is also facing the same situation. His ambitious project ‘Baahubali’ movie has recently finished its script reading session and is all set to hit the floors but is getting delayed because of budget. Since the movie is planned to make with a whopping budget of 100 Crores,  Rajamouli is thinking of making the film in two parts. This plan of the director would not create any problem to the producer in terms of budget and will certainly create more hype to this film. So far it’s just a rumor in filmnagar but we never know.

The movie which is reportedly the biggest budget movie ever made in Telugu, will go on to sets this month. Anushka will be pairing with Prabhas in this movie for the third time after Billa and Mirchi. Rana is playing Prabhas’ brother in the movie. This project will be jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media banner and will be presented by K Raghavendra Rao. Keeravani will be scoring the music.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is always ahead among other superstars when it comes to charity and social work. His NGO ‘Being Human Foundation’ came up with many charity works in the past and is still continuing its social responsibility. Now news is that this NGO has adopted few villages in Maharashtra state and are reportedly providing water to these villages as they are drought affected ones. This NGO would supply 750 water tankers to Beed, 500 each to Osmanabad and Jalna, and 250 each to Aurangabad and Nanded as per the source of Beed Residential District Collector B M Kamble. Also the NGO has adopted 200 villages in the Aurangabad district which have been facing severe water scarcity.

This shows Salman is not just a superstar on screen but off screen too. Though Tollywood stars have done bit social work in the past but never been able to come up with such huge outline. Social responsibility adds extra color to the stardom apart from films.

Tamil film director Kalanjiyam filed a defamation suit against heroine Anjali.

He filed the petition in the Magistrate court at Salem. He said in his petition that Anjali’s remarks had hurt the sentiments of his supporters. The court which admitted the petition, has posted further hearing of the case to May 13.

It may be recalled that Anjali told the media that her aunt and Kalanjiyam have been harassing her. She also alleged that they were using her as ATM and using her hard-earned money for their luxuries.

Looks like Akshay Kumar is seriously in love with Telugu movies. He recently scored a hit with Rowdy Rathore (Remake of Vikramarkudu) and okayed Tagore remake, Gabbar. Buzz is that Akshay Kumar is showing lot of interest in remaking Jr. NTR’s ‘Oosaravelli’ in Hindi and has reportedly consulted producer B.V.S.N. Prasad for the remake rights.

Buzz is BVSN quoted Rs 65 Lakh for the remake rights. Akshay who is confident on the film is ready to pay the amount. Currently Akshay is starring in Gabbar and once it is completed he will focus on ‘Oosaravelli’. Lets see if the movie gets to impress Hindi audience!

Tollywood legendary actor Nandamuir Taraka Rama Rao’s statue was unveiled few moments ago in Parliament.  This 9 foot 3 inch statue was revealed by Lok Sabha speaker Meera Kumari in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Vice President of India Hameed Ansari, TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu, Balakrishna, Harikrishna, Purandhareswari, Jr. NTR and other family members.

BJP leaders L. K. Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Union Ministers Gulam Nabi Azad, Jairam Ramesh, Jaipal Reddy, Survey Satyanarayana,  Samajvadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav were others present  in this opening ceremony. Interestingly NTR’s Personal Assistant Mohan and chief security officer Krishna Rao and close associated of NTR, Lakshman have also attended the ceremony.

‘I was never interested to do cameo in my past. I also doubt if I will do the same in my near future too. My role in ‘Saradaga Ammayitho’ is energetic and comes for few minutes in second half. Both producer and director convinced me to do this and I feel really happy now,’ charmi says. Noted rap singer of bollywood, baba sehgal was injured on the sets of ‘Rudramadevi’. While canning an action sequence on baba sehgal, his hairline got fractured. Straightaway, he was rushed to a nearby hospital. The doctors advised him to take a rest of one month.

It is a known thing that baba sehgal is doing the role of one of the villains of ‘Rudramadevi’. His name in the movie is Nagadevudu.This is his debut movie as an actor. Meanwhile, he got popularity in tollywood as a singer through the songs such as, ‘Roop tera mastana of ‘Rickshawvodu’, title songs of ‘Jalsa’ and ‘Gabbar Singh’. He is a good fan of Power Star Pawan Kalyan.

The movie was earlier planned to be titled as ‘Chinnodu – Peddhodu’. Since the title gives equal importance to both the heroes, Akkineni fans pressurized the producer to drop the title. And now we learn that Sunil’s role in the movie was significantly chopped down to elevate Chaitanya. Sunil even do not have a song in the movie except for a combination song. The role of Sunil in the original is very significant. We will have to see how this will result in the output.
