Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘The Attacks of 26/11’ which released last week and opened to lukewarm response at the box office despite getting good reviews. But there is a slow uptrend in the movie collections as the days pass by. The maverick director is being praised from all quarters for the excellent portrayal of the bloody history.

Interestingly, the director calls the people’s anger on security agencies as not rightful and calls for people to stand by the security agencies in dealing with terrorism, “I think I am too small to comment on what the preparations should be, as I believe that the security agencies are doing a far better job than what they are given credit for. We only know about them when they fail and are unaware of them in their success.”

Mahesh’s blockbuster “‘Dookudu’”. which had set cash counters ringing in Telugu film industry is all set to be remade in Hindi. Salman Khan and Ajay Devagan have been approached for the Bollywood remake of the Mahesh-starrer. And now finally Ajay Devagan had bagged the super project. Anushka Sharma is roped in as the leading lady beside him. Choreographer-turned-director Prabhudeva who had made it big in Bollywood with the remakes of Telugu hits like Pokiri (Salman Khan’s Wanted) and Vikramarkudu (Akshay Kumar’s Rowdy Rathore) is wielding the megaphone for this remake as well.

Analysts believe that this wholesome entertainer which is a perfect blend of comedy, action, songs, sentiment and twists will become another 100C movie for Ajay Devagan who already have four of them under his belt.

Yesteryear ace film maker Kodanda Rami Reddy’s son Vaibhav may be a failure as hero in Telugu but he is reasonably famous in Tamil land. And now he had bagged the prestigious lead role in the sequel of Pizza. The movie  which released in October, 2012 is the most successful film in Tamil Nadu in recent times when the return of investment is considered. The movie is also dubbed in to Telugu but did not perform up to the expectations despite getting good reviews. 

This new installment will have new lead roles and a new director. Deepan Chakravarthy, a short film director will direct the sequel titled Pizza – the Villa. The Pizza 2 – Villa will feature Vaibhav and Sajitha Shetty in the lead roles. The rest of the cast and crew are being finalised. The movie will go to floors in April 2013. This will be certainly an interesting project to look up to!
