On Thursday, AP’s television industry came to a grinding halt. Producers, actors and technicians from the industry formed a Joint Action Committee to protest against dubbed serials, which they claim has cost them nearly `200 crore. They are pushing for a ban of all dubbed serials from Ugadi, this year.

Nearly 12,500 technicians, 1,500 actors and 250 producers are dependent on AP’s television industry. And as all local TV channels have started tying up with Hindi channels and are importing content from them, the television industry is losing nearly `200 crores,” and people are losing their jobs. Veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao attended the event and had offered his helping hand to the movement.

It seems like Priyamani is eying a big career in Bollywood after she bagged a special song with Bollywood Shahrukh Khan for his film Chennai Express says it was a pleasure working with the superstar. She is heaping praises on the King Khan.

“It is an honor to be working with him. Shahrukh Khan is such a humble person. He is also very friendly and made me feel very comfortable on the sets,” says an elated Priyamani, who wasn’t willing to share more details about the song. Meanwhile, the actress is also busy with her South projects — a period film, Angulika, opposite Deepak and Samudra’s Chandee.

Creative director Krishna Vamsi’s new film titled Paisa with young heartthrob Nani as the protagonist had completed the canning of the title song of the movie. The song has reportedly been shot in a pub and several foreign models took part in the shoot. “Wrapped up PAISA title song shoot and coming back to India .. Can’t wait 🙂 ” Nani tweeted soon after wrapping up the shoot.  The makers of the movie are planning to release the logo of the movie on 24h of this month. This is the first movie in the combination of Nani and Krishna Vamsi. The ace director is so determined to deliver a hit as he is reeling under the pressure of flops for quite some time now.

Nani is romancing a Keralite beauty Katherine Theresa, who is making her debuting in Tollywood with Paisa. Ramesh Puppala of Mirapakaya fame is producing the movie under Yellow Flow banner and Santosh Rai is handling the lens.

As every individual in the state, Tollywood celebs are equally shocked with the serial blasts that took place at Dilskhuknagar on Thursday night in Hyderabad. Two blasts were reported near a Konark and Venkatadri theaters at Dilsukh Nagar in the city resulting in heavy casualties.

The movie which is reportedly the biggest budget movie ever made in Telugu, will go on to sets in April. Anushka will be pairing with Prabhas in this movie for the third time after Billa and Mirchi. This movie will be jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media banner and will be presented by K Raghavendra Rao. Keeravani will be scoring the music.

The shooting of Young Tiger NTR’s Baadshah is progressing at brisk pace. The movie unit had completed filming a song in Spain and are now flying to Switzerland for the shooting of one more song there. The unit will be back to Hyderabad towards the end of February and will wrap the remaining talkie part here. The audio release of the movie will take place on March 10th and the movie will hit the screens on April 5th.

Kajal Agarwal is playing the female lead in the movie while Navdeep and Kelly Dorjee will be seen in negative roles in this action entertainer. Gopi Mohan and Kona Venkat are writing the script along with Sreenu Vaitla. Thaman is composing the music.

Ram Gopal Varma never ceases to surprise his fans and audience. He lent voice for the voice over part of his last film, Rakta Charitra and is now crooning a song for the Telugu version of his film The Attacks of 26/11. The Telugu version of the film is titled 26/11 India Pai Daadi. The track that RGV has crooned is Nethutti Ruchi Mariginda. The song will be used in the promotional video of the film. Sources tell us  that music director Amar made Ramu sing and also asked couple of other singers to sing the song. None could match Ramu’s intensity opined the music director.

The movie made on the true incidents based on Mumbai terror attacks had completed its shooting part and is gearing up for release on March 1st. Both the Telugu and Hindi versions will hit the screens on the same day. Directed by Ram Gopal Varma and produced by Alumbra Entertainment and Eros International, The Attacks of 26/11 features Nana Patekar, and Sanjeev Jaiswal (As Ajmal Kasab) among others. Ramu was assisted by Rommel Rodrigues,who had written a book ‘ Kasab the face of 26/11′ based on the incident.
 

Prabhudeva’s latest movie ABCD – Any Body Can Dance was a decent hit in Bollywood and did not make much buzz at Telugu box office. And now we hear that the makers of the movie are planning to make a sequel of the movie and the director Remo is already working on the script. The director himself had confirmed making the sequel. He added that with a sequel in the offing there’s pressure on him to surpass the set standards.

‘ABCD : Any Body Can Dance’ featured Prabhudheva, Kay Kay Menon and choreographer Ganesh Acharya and Remo has confirmed that the sequel will see Prabhudheva and Ganesh together once again.
