The regular shooting of the Telugu remake of Super hit Bollywood movie, Kahaani will commence this summer in April. Nayanatara is essaying the role of a pregnant woman. This role was performed by Vidya Balan in the Hindi version. Nayanatara has allotted dates in April for this yet untitled film.

Director Sekhar Kammula is working on making the film better and suitable for Telugu audience. For this purpose he has sought novel writer Yandamuri Veerendranath’s help. Currently, both are working on it. The original film went on to become a blockbuster film.

 

After finishing the item song shoot of the movie, the entire unit of Baadshah will be flying to Europe tomorrow for 2 songs hoot. They will begin a song shoot in Switzerland from 16th and will later fly to Spain to can one more song. Both these songs are expected to be completed by 25th of this month. With this all the songs of the movie will be canned except one. The unit will be back to Hyderabad after that and will resume shooting here.

The makers are planning to release the movie in April. Kajal Agarwal is playing the female lead in the movie while Navdeep and Kelly Dorjee will be seen in negative roles in this action entertainer. Gopi Mohan and Kona Venkat are writing the script along with Sreenu Vaitla. Thaman is composing the music.

Two days after the launch of  his latest production with NTR, Senior Producer Bellamkonda Suresh will be launching his son Sai as hero tomorrow. His screen name will be Srinivas. His debut movie will have it formal muhurath tomorrow morning at Annapurna Studios. Ace director VV Vinayak will be wielding megaphone for this project. Srinivas will be seen romancing Samantha in the movie. Recently a photoshoot was done on both of them and people who have watched it are speaking very high of the youngster.

They say he will definitely make a good impact on Tollywood. Srinivas is well trained in dances too and will reportedly give tough competition to the current crop of top dancers. Devi Sri Prasad will be composing the music. More details on this project later.

Anushka and Rana starer Rudramma Devi will begin the shooting proceedings of the movie with a formal pooja ceremony at the historical 1000 pillars temple in Warangal today at 12PM. The movie is said to be India’s historical stereoscopic 3D film in which Anushka will play the title role while Rana will play the role of  Chalukya Veerabhadrudu, the prince of Nidavardhyapuram (Present Nidadavole).

Gunashekar had pinned high hopes on the movie as he has no hits for a long time now. Guna will himself produce the movie and had roped in some top class technicians on to the project. Ilayaraja, the music composer of the movie had already completed the songs composing. The regular shooting of the movie will begin very soon. More details on this project later.

Kamal Hassan must be the most deplorable artist till last month, due to the controversies and bans on his most prestigious project ‘Viswaroopam’. Now he must be the happiest person as the movie collections are near to 150 crore from all over the world. Movie got a must watch review for its universal appeal and great technical brilliance.

There is another reason for Kamal to be happy now. That is Kamal got an opportunity to direct a Hollywood film. Barrie M Osborne, producer of Lord of the Rings gave this. Osborne was impressed with Kamal’s directional skills after watching Viswaroopam and gave the chance to Kamal to direct his next project in Hollywood.

After Trivikram Srinivas, a star writer turned successful director, its Koratala Shiva being a star writer in Tollywood, now bagged a success with his directional debut with Prabhas starer ‘Mirchi’.

Koratala Shiva, in a recent interview given to a journalist, has given a shocking answer when asked a question that “Why did you want to become director in the first place, when you were successful as a star writer?”. Shiva replied that there is no respect for writers in Telugu film industry. He was tortured by big directors when he was a writer and few directors never care for him. “To escape their torture, I became a director”, he replied.

Writers turned directors list in Telugu film industry still includes Dasari, Veeru Potla, Vijayendra Prasad and youngsters like Gopi Mohan who wielded megaphone on sets. Probably they might have the same reason too to become directors.

‘Vishwaroopam’ is the one movie that hit all media in the recent times due to the controversy on the film made by few Muslim leagues and Tamil Nadu government. But the film got great reviews and viewership after its release all over the world. Even the ban was lifted on the movie in Tamil nadu recently and turned a block buster at all centers. Now heights of its success are like IMDB, largest movie database site in the world has chances of placing this movie in the list of top 250. 12,800 users have already voted this movie in the site and is running with an average of 9.5 out of 10. If the number of votes crosses 25000, there are chances that another Indian movie is going to shine in the world’s all-time best films list.

Kamal Hassan, who is everything to this film, went under great pressure and struggle for the release of this film might felt happy with this news.

 

Young Tiger NTR seem to be on a signing spree these days. Two of his films – Baadshah and Harish Shankar movie are on sets and now he had launched his third. The movie directed by Kandireega fame Santosh Srinivas was launched a short while ago in Annapurna Studios. NTR sounded the clap board on god photos for the opening shot and Srinu Vaitla switched on the camera.  Nandini Reddy, Vamsi Paidipally, VV Vinayak, Srinu Vaitla, Koratala Siva, Dil Raju, Ram Achanta, Gopinath Achanta, SV Krishna Reddy, Atchi Reddy, Boyapati Srinu and Meher Ramesh had attended the launch and wished the movie unit for success.

The movie is tentatively titled ‘Rabhasa’. The regular shooting of the movie will begin from May 16 and the makers are aiming for Sankranthi 2014 release. Samantha will be pairing up with NTR in this movie. Devi Sri Prasad will be scoring music for this movie. Bellamkonda Suresh will be producing this movie under his Sri Lakshmi Narasimha productions  banner.

Famous Vijay TV in Tamil Nadu had roped in Prakash Raj to host their popular game show  ‘Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi’ (NVOK). The show is the Tamil version of Kaun Banega Crorepathi hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. Actor Suriya had hosted the previous season of the show. And now Prakash Raj will be replacing him this season.

Vijay TV will be airing this show on TV for 90 minutes at primetime slot starting from 8 pm to 9.30 pm. They have made a huge publicity of the show. The promotions have started at a huge level with the campaigns named as ‘4321’ (4321 stands for 4 options, 3 lifelines, 2 you & me, 1 crore).

 

Okkadu is the movie which propelled Mahesh Babu to fame. It is the first commercial mass hit in the actor’s career. And now that movie is going to be remade in Bollywood. Ishaqzaade fame Arjun Kapoor will be playing the lead role in the movie. He is currently busy in the shootings of  other projects including ‘Aurangazeb’, ‘Gundey’ and ‘2 States’. Once he is done with these films, he will start shooting for the remake.

Abbas – Masthan duo will be wielding megaphone for this project. Arjun Kapoor’s father Boney Kapoor himself will produce the movie. Currently, the hunt for heroine is going on. The movie is expected to go on to sets in June 2013
