Jabardasth Audio Release date

Siddharth and Samantha’s upcoming movie Jabardasth in the direction of Nandini Reddy had completed its shooting part and is currently in post production phase. The makers are planning to release the audio of the movie on January 27th and the movie will hit the screens some time in February. Siddharth had pinned high hopes on this movie as he is lagging behind in success race for a long time.

Bellamkonda Suresh is producing the Telugu version while director Lingusamy bought the rights for Tamil version and it will be distributed by Thirupathi Brothers banner. The film has been titled as Dum Dum Pee Pee in Tamil. The Tamil dubbing works of the movie will begin very soon. Nithya Menon will also be seen in the film in a crucial role. Thaman composed the tunes for the movie. The audio of the movie will be launched towards the end of January.

Government to permit 5 shows per day!

Government of Andhra Pradesh is considering the approval of permitting 5 shows per day in single screen theaters of the state. There is also a proposal to make it compulsory to screen small movies for at least 2 shows in a day. A G.O. regarding the same is expected very soon. This is a long standing demand of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. They are urging that this decision would eradicate the killing of small movies run when big movies release.

On the other hand, Government is in a dilemma regarding the hike of ticket prices after the big and small producers split vertically on this issue. However, our sources tells us that the price hike will certainly happen some time in future as several bigwigs are lobbying hard for it.

Dharmana to appeal in high court

Minister Dharmana has reportedly decided to appeal to the high court against the judgment of the CBI court that there was no need for government’s permission to prosecute him and former minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana.

It is learnt that he would file the petition on Tuesday.

It may be mentioned that the CBI court had upheld the agency’s contention that there was no need for government’s permission to prosecute the two, on Monday. The court has also directed both to appear before it on January 31.

Owaisi’s arrest sparks tension, shutdown in Hyd

MIM chief and parliament member Asaduddin Owaisi’s arrest sparked violent protests and shutdown in parts of the city Monday and police went on high alert to prevent more trouble.

Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) workers took to the streets in the old city and other areas of Andhra Pradesh’s capital to protest Owaisi’s arrest. Some buses and shops were damaged in stone pelting.

Protestors hurled stones at buses and shops in posh Banjara Hills, M.J. Market, Lakdi Ka Pul, Amberpet and Patthargatti areas. They raised slogans against the Congress government and burnt effigies of Chief Minister N.Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Tension gripped the communally sensitive old city and some parts of Hyderabad after Owaisi was sent to jail till Feb 2 by a court in Sangareddy town in Medak district in a seven-year-old case.

The MIM leader, his younger brother Akbaruddin Owaisi and others were booked by police Mar 16, 2005, for obstructing officials from carrying out demolition of a place of worship to facilitate road extension at Muttangi village.

Shops and business establishments were shut in the old city, the MIM stronghold, and in commercial hubs like M.J. Market, Nampally, Mallepally, Mehdipatnam, Banjara Hills and Charminar.

As panic spread, schools and colleges allowed students to leave early.

Police and paramilitary Rapid Action Force (RAF) were deployed around the historic Charminar and other sensitive areas. Senior police officials were monitoring the situation. Police also intensified patrolling in the communally sensitive areas.

Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma said barring minor incidents, the situation in the city was peaceful. He appealed to people to remain calm.

The arrest of Asad Owaisi, a Lok Sabha member from Hyderabad, came close on the heels of the arrest of his younger brother and state legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi.

No force can stop Naidu

TDP MP Nandamuri Hari Krishna met the party chief Chandra Babu Naidu on Monday.

Speaking to the media later, he said he met Naidu as he was touring his father late NTR’s native district. He said it was improper on the part of the Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal to stall Naidu’s yatra on the Samaikya Andhra issue. He asserted that no force could disrupt Naidu’s yatra. He said the ‘Vastunna Meekosam’ pada yatra of Naidu was progressing with the overwhelming support of the people. TDP MLA Motkupalli Narasimhulu said if Naidu’s yatra was obstructed, TDP workers would themselves teach a lesson.

Ram Charan gets a bomb to play CCL!

Censor Board puts brakes on ‘D/o Ram Gopal Varma’

Post the controversies of Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu and Denikaina Ready last year, Censor Board had became more watchful and alert. Last year, Rana’s Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum and Ee Rojullo director Maruthi’s Bus Stop had to face the brunt of Censor authorities. Later, it was the makers of Jagan Nirdoshi who had to change their movie title to clear Censor formalities.And now sensing the danger of one more controversy, the Censor authorities have asked the makers of ‘D/O Ram Gopal Varma’ to change their movie title. The makers had to heed to the order and now the movie is titled ‘D/O Varma’.

Naveena Jackson and Kavitha Aaras are playing the lead roles in this film. Khaja is a prominent playwright and he has won the Nandi award 9 times in the past. This is his debut film as a director. Narendra Reddy is producing the film on Forever Fantastic Films banner.

‘The Attacks of 26/11’ Release date

Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma, who always creates hype and hysteria before every release of his film, has decided to keep it simple this time with his latest film, The Attacks of 26/11. The movie shooting was completed without any hype and is now set for release. This is the first time when RGV’s film has been shot under such low profile.

The movie made on the true incidents based on Mumbai terror attacks had completed its shooting part and is gearing up for release on March 1st. Both the Telugu and Hindi versions will hit the screens on the same day. Directed by Ram Gopal Varma and produced by Alumbra Entertainment and Eros International, The Attacks of 26/11 features Nana Patekar, and Sanjeev Jaiswal (As Ajmal Kasab) among others. Ramu was assisted by Rommel Rodrigues,who had written a book Kasab the face of 26/11′ based on the incident.

Venkatesh’s ‘Shadow’, which has been deferred due to his multi-starrer venture ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ is all set for entertain fans. The shooting part of the movie nears completion. Only a song and fight of the movie are to be canned before the movie enters extensive post production mode. The movie is the biggest budget movie in Venky’s career and is shot in cozy locations of Switzerland and Malaysia. The makers are planning to release the movie on April 12th in summer season.

Pawan Kalyan’s girl gets one more chance in Telugu

And now we hear that Nikesha Patel is selected for the third role.

RUM is the third directorial of MS Raju after Vaana and Tunnega Tuneega. This movie will go on to sets shortly. MS Raju had not tasted success as director so far and he hopes to make it big this time with RUM.
