Deeply hurt with the failure of his dream project, Uu Kodathara Ulikki Padathara, Manchu Manoj is licking his wounds and is raring to deliver at the box office. He is all set to star in a film produced by Bommadevara Ramachandra Rao on Sri Sai Ratna creations banner. He earlier produced Anushka’s Panchakshari. The director name for this project is yet to be announced.

Buzz is Lavanya who starred in Andala Rakshasi will be cast opposite Manoj in the film which is expected to go to sets in February. Manoj also has G.Nageswara Reddy’s film in his kitty. Nageswar Reddy had delivered a hit to Manoj’s brother Vishnu in the form of Denikaina Ready.

No Bollywood now – Mahesh

While the rumour mongers are busy predicting his Bollywood entry, Super Star Mahesh Babu who scored a sensational hit with Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu sprang a surprise today. While his fans and movie lovers are expecting his Bollywood entry soon, the actor ruled out anything such sort in near future.

Mahesh babu who was in Hyderabad to attend an event, talked to some reporters regarding his plans to focus on the Telugu Cinema itself. He said, “I have already said that my contribution will be only for Telugu films. I don’t have any plans to work in Bollywood.”

He further added, “I want to do great Telugu films and I am focusing only on that.” About the huge success of “Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu” (SVSC), Mahesh Babu said, “Every time I am excited but this time I am also satisfied.”

How Assiduous our Police are?

Every time our OLD CITY is tense, our Police people assure us that they are on full alert. They particularly mention the Friday Prayers and assure us that they are taking every precaution to ensure that the Friday congregations end peacefully, and that they are deploying sufficient numbers of constabulary or others to ensure that the mischief makers do not have an opportunity to indulge in their hobby.

Last week the City was tense with demonstrations, bandhs, etc as an aftermath of the arrest of Owaisi. We were confident that our Police, always alert to prevent disturbances by the diehard followers of Owaisis and MIM, would ensure that nothing untoward happens. But alas, our confidence in our Police in this instance, has been badly shaken. There was stone throwing on a large scale and some were hurt.

When the Police are so alert, we assume that they would do everything to ensure that lethal missiles like stones are not ready at hand. But it transpires that there was a huge heap of rubble with kankar etc in it, which was very handy. WHY DID OUR POLICE NOT SPOT THE READY AVAILABILITY OF STONES, AND WHY DID THEY NOT ARRANGE TO REMOVE THE HEAP?

Sunny Leone Not doing Item number

Sunny Leone has refuted all rumours about her appearance in an item number in her upcoming movie. It was rumoured that she will be soon be seen dancing to an item number in ‘Singh Saheb The Great’.

This she cleared at an event of PETA in Mumbai on Thursday. She said that she is now paying complete attention to Ragini MMS 2 and the PETA advertisement. The movie is being directed by Bhushan Patel and produced by Ekta Kapoor. Giving more information, she added that she has not yet started shooting
for the movie. However, she seems to be quite satisfied and content with whatever has been decided till now for the movie like her introduction and the songs.

Sunny had made her debut in Bollywood with the movie Jism 2 which was a sequel to Jism. Currently she is working in Ragini MMS 2 which is a sequel to Ragini MMS, a horror and thriller movie released in 2011 which was quite successful at the box office.

She also revealed that Ragini MMS 2 promises to be very scary and scare the movie-goers. This should then turn out to be a treat for those movie goers who love movies belong to the genre of horror.

Centre’s solution to Telangana issue

The central government has the idea of a Telangana Territorial Administration (TTA) instead of a separate state. The Union home ministry has envisaged a package, called the T-package, which they will reveal by the end of this month.

Only the broader aspects of this package have been worked out till now. The finer aspects will be worked out later, after the deliberations of Congress’chintan baithak at Jaipur. Insider sources have revealed that this TTA will have executive and financial powers. It will, however, have no legislative powers. In all probability, Hyderabad will be kept out of the TTA. The TTA will have a chief executive and a few executive. The category of councilors will be directly elected by the people.

The plan is that an Act of Parliament will be creating this TTA, which will later be cleared and passed by the President. A committee headed by a retired judge of the Supreme Court will be created which will plan the details of TTA. The TTA will be enforceable in the 10-districts of Telangana. The TTA will be very similar to the arrangement which exists in Gorkhaland in West Bengal.

Political analysts say that Congress will take a conclusive stand on the formation of Telangana only after the 2014 polls as it is in no position to do it now. For now, all it wants to do with TTA is to pacify the Telangana proponents.

Personality Test for Owaisi?

The MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, who has hit the headlines for his hate speeches, was tested on the basis of his personality by the police during the questioning procedure.

The police investigation team which was put at the task of questioning the politician found that he could not sit for long hours as he complained of pain on the left side of his stomach. Doctors were called from Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad, to examine him in the afternoon. The team comprised a cardiologist, a neurologist, and a surgical gastroenterologist. Doctors advised Owaisi to take soft food and drink more water. So he had only upma for breakfast, for lunch he ate rice with dal and vegetable curry, for dinner he had a plain meal. He was also provided with coffee and fruit juice.

The procedure began at 11 am and lasted till 5.30 pm with a lunch-break in between. He was also allowed hourly breaks as he complained of illness. The proceeding ran for the second day as well and the whole proceeding is being video recorded.

The police team included Utnoor assistant superintendent of police Ambarkishore Jha, Nirmal rural circle inspector A. Raghu, Bellampalli deputy superintendent of police M. Ravinder Reddy and Jagityal police inspector Mohammed Ghouse who helped in translating Owaisi’s replies and statements. They questioned him mainly on his understanding of culture based on his habits and the books he reads.

Anushka’s image makeover

Actors indeed have to undergo a lot of experiments and experiences. The hot and sexy Tollywood female actor Anushka Shetty is getting an image makeover. Her upcoming movie will see her doing martial arts for her upcoming flick ‘Rani Rudramadevi’. This movie is directed by Guna Shekhar.

Though she is herself a former yoga instructor, she has been taking regular martial arts lessons for her character in this period film. Her Bad Boy with Karthik is also releasing in Telugu. The Tamil version of this movie features Anushka and Alex Pandian. She has done few stunts on the top of a train which were very risky and that too without using any substitute. In fact, the sources have revealed that the continous physical training is affecting her health but she does not seem to be concerned at all.

Anushka is famous for her glamorous avatar with characters in most of her films like ‘Super’, ‘Vikramarkudu’, ‘King’, ‘Billa’. She has also essayed performance-oriented characters in ‘Arundhati’, ‘Vedam’, ‘Nagavalli’ and others.

She is all set to feature in the Telugu remake of Kahaani to be directed by Sekhar Kammula. If rumours are to be believed, she is also being considered for another periodical movie with Prabhas which is to be directed by SS Rajamouli.

Baadshah announces his arrival !

After super success like Dookudu, Srini vaitla again coming up with another action comedy but this time with NTR with the name ‘Baadhshah’. They are going to launch the audio of this film on March 10th. The movie which is rushing in shooting has started its recent schedule on 9th of this month. NTR will join this schedule from 16th on wards.

NTR is going to be seen in two different getups. Like in all Srini Vaitla’s movies, Brahmanandam is again going to play an important role in this film, while kajal agarwal is playing the romantic-interest of NTR under the production of Bandla Ganesh. Srinu vaitla and Bandla Ganesh have planned to shoot few songs in rich sets and grandeur locations. Thaman is scoring the music for this commercial movie.

Viyyankulu celebrates Sankranthi !

BalaKrishna is celebrating this Sankranthi at Nara Chandra babu naidu’s village Naravari palli. He reached the place yesterday. Both the families of BalaKrishna and Chandra babu reached the village to Chandra babu’s house. The family members going to stay there for this three day festival.

Balakrishna along with his wife and children joined Chandra babu family along with Lokesh and his wife Brahmani. Even Chandra babu naidu’s brother Nara Rammurthy naidu along with family joined the relatives. All the family members are united after a long time at one place. Villagers wished Balakrishna Sankranthi wishes. Even BalaKrishna allowed the villagers to take a photograph with him.

Siddharth comments on Nayak !

Nayak is a film which has all the commercial ingredients that attract the masses. Hero Siddharth made few indirect comments on this movie it seems. Siddharth watched the movie ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ and tweeted the following comments “After EEGA, Seethamma… is the only movie that could be watched with entire family in theaters, Unlike the other movies that are releasing these days with lots of violence and dark humor, SVSC is really well made. Congratulations and thanks to the producer Dil Raju and the stars Venkatesh and Mahesh babu who encouraged this kind of script”.

Though Siddharth didn’t mention the name of Nayak in his comments, but the intention behind his writings was clearly understood as Nayak is the only contemporary big movie along with SVSC in the Sankranthi race.

Dwarampudi deletes Congress !

Kakinada city MLA Dwarampudi Chandra Sekhar reddy has announced his resignation to Congress party. After the split of Jagan from Congress party into YSR CP, Congress party started harassing Y.S.R’s family, because of which he is no longer interested to continue in dishonest Congress party, he reasoned. He commented that Congress party has failed in implementing the Y.S.R’s policies. If TDP comes with no confidence motion on Congress, he is ready to give his support he said. So he confirmed that he is not resigning to his position in assembly but just to Congress party.

ChandraSekharreddy announced that he is going to join YSR CP party along with his followers. He suggested Chandra babu to stop his Padha yatras and come up with a no confidence motion on the government where he is ready to be on the side of TDP against the Congress. Along with Chandra Sekhar reddy, the ex corporators and counselors joined YSR CP party.

Use your mobiles to fight Jagan !

Nara Chandrababu has given a call to the state youth to wage a mobile war against YSR CP leader YS.Jagan. He suggested the youth to send 10 sms each agaist him. On the 150th birthday of Vivekananda, he stated that with the inspiration of Vivekananda, we all should fight against corrupted politics. In the last nine dark years of Congress rule, the lives of all sections of people were divested. We became a dark kingdom. Corruption resurrecting. Congress thieves have earned crores of rupees exploiting the citizens of the state.

In order to get a better governance, to come out of this darkness, TDP should resurrect into power and the change is in your hands, said the ex-chief minister Nara Chandra babu naidu. As part of his Padha yatra in Khammam, he talked to the public on Saturday. In that meeting he observed few youngsters talking in mobile and he instantly explained, “dear brothers, everyone has a cellphone, through which you can fight against corruption. Naidu comes out as a GRAND HYPOCRITE. NTR always stove for a UNITED ANDHRA PRADESH. Now Naidu, NTR’s son BALAKRISHNA, GRANDSON who brands himself as NTR JUNIOR, all have decided to support the breakup of Andhra Pradesh. Are they all not TRAITORS to NTR and his memory? Naidu’s actions are against the interests of TELUGU DESAM and are only in the interest of TELENGANA DESAM. He should therefore immediately change the name of his Party to TELENGANA DESAM PARTY and stop exhibiting NTR’s cutouts and desist from chanting NTR’s name or claim to swear over NTR’s policies.

Nayak Vs SVSC – who wins Sankranthi race ?

Well, we are talking about the duel between the Sankranthi treats ‘Naayak’ and ‘Seetamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’. The question is, who among the two is the Sankranthi winner. Here are few reports making rounds to give an idea.

It is heard that in Eluru which has 11 theatres all screens were given to ‘Naayak’ on release day. But for ‘SVSC’ only 5 theatres were given while 6 were catered to ‘Naayak’. The entire town had only 2 films running. Statewide, around 500-600 theatres were given to ‘SVSC’ but ‘Naayak’ released in 1100 theatres.

Of course, this is due to the first release advantage. If ‘SVSC’ had come first it would have got more theatres. In ‘Naayak’ the comedy worked so repeat audience is there. For ‘SVSC’ there is no repeat audience but family audience are decided that they will come to theatres at any cost.

The talk is mixed but no one is saying it is a dud or very good. Nothing will stop public from going to the film that is for sure. Since there is no bad talk ‘SVSC’ remains safe. So if one has to know the real Sankranthi winner they will have to wait for a week. For ‘SVSC’ the US collections will be high because of Mahesh factor. ‘Naayak’ may not work in that area but within state it will work well. overall, both might collect around Rs 45 cr- Rs 50 cr share.

Prabhas turning as ‘Bahubali’

Chatrapathi’s combination is going to be seen on the screen again but with a folk tale this time. Rajamouli has decided the working title for his upcoming Prabhas starrer film as ‘Bahu bali’ which means man with immense strength. Here after public and fans will get the updates on this film with this title. Arka media is going to produce this film with around 100 crores of budget. At present, pre-production is in progress. Even Prabhas is going to be seen in new look in this movie, he might be seen in beard as per the demands of the character.

Prabhas has all the physical requirements of a periodic figure like that we read in a folk tale. That is why he was chosen for this role. And Anushka will don the role of princess and fits the frame beside Prabhas in all angles. But to balance the heroism, there should be a villain with equal strength. Rana, has that physic and height that compete with Prabhas, which made Rajamouli to pick him as antagonist in the film.

Brahmi’s comedy seeds in ‘Seetamma Vakitlo’

Much awaited multi-starrer film ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ was released on Friday and raining cats and dogs at box office. The director and producer decided to remove few scenes on Brahmanandam and Brahmaji in the film due to the issue of length or for some other reason. But as per the suggestions of few critics and analysts, as more comedy will help the success of the film, they are going to paste back the scenes of Brahmanandam comedy to the film reels.

It is understood that from 14th of this month few new scenes are going to be added. So from the festival day onwards, those scenes can be seen on screens. On the other side, the role of Brahmanandam as ‘Jilebi’ in the film ‘Nayak’ is tickling the audience state wide. Anyhow Brahmi is always a strength and stamina for big films in Telugu.

Karthi flop show even before release

Surya’s brother and Tamil action hero Karthi is facing a tough luck. He faced a dud with the film ‘Shakuni’ last year and his latest film ‘Alex Pandian’ was released yesterday in Tamil nadu, on which he has lot of expectations to start a successful journey in this New Year, but as per the Tamil media hassle, it is evident that Alex Pandian also gone a big flop at box office. The sad thing is producer Gnanvel raja earlier planned to release the film on the same date in both Tamil and Telugu with the title ‘Bad boy’. But due to the powerful Sankranthi race in Tollywood with the films like ‘Nayak’ and ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’, there was no theater left free to screen ‘Bad boy’. Hence producer decided to release this film later in Telugu. But due to the flop talk in Tamil, producer is rethinking about its release in Telugu now.

Karthi has become the first person to flop his film even before its release in Telugu. Bad luck to bad boy.

Paritala Sriram branded Rowdy Sheeter

Son of Late Paritala Ravi and Raptadu MLA Paritala Sunita, Paritala Sriram is going to be charged with Rowdy Sheet. Dharmavaram police has announced that they are going to open a rowdy sheet on Sriram. It was news that police were searching for Sriram, who was alleged with murder accusations on Congress leader of Dharmavaram Kamireddy pally Sudhakar reddy. He got an anticipatory bail from district court and submitted to CI Narsingappa for not to be arrested.

While everything went silent, responding on this case on Saturday, DSP Nawaz khan mentioned that they are going to open rowdy sheet on 15 members including Paritala Sriram as part of this case. He admitted that, in the Sudhakar reddy’s attemptive murder case, they are going to investigate the Kadiri assembly member too. But the future of Sriram will be in stake, if a rowdy sheet is opened on him as the police are planning.

Jesus should save brother Anil !

Son in law of Late Y.S.Rajasekhar reddy, brother-in-law of Y.S.Jagan, brother Anil got the summons from Khammam second additional junior civil court. It is known already that Khamman rural police have filed a complaint against Brother Anil on the accusation that he is manupulating the voters with his religious preaching. In this case, judge A.SunithaRani issued summons to Anil for him to attend the court on 14th February. This is not the first time that court issued the summons to Anil, earlier he was unavailable in the address to which the orders were sent by the court. So the court issued again and police took the responsibility of handling them over to Anil.

At the time of 2009 elections, Anil Kumar attended a prayer in a church in Kanigiri a rural mandalam in Khammam. There was news that created lot of hassle that while doing prayers in church, Anil distributed money to manipulate the voters, who came to offer their prayers. Based on these accusations, Khammam police have filed the sumoto case on Anil and other three. Except Anil, other three have been appearing in front of court regularly.
