According to media reports, the ED has attached properties worth 143 crores of Ramki Pharma Company. It may be recalled that the ED had already attached properties worth Rs. 51 crore belonging to the Jagati Publications and Janani Infra of Jagan.

Responding to police directive, Akbaruddin reached Gandhi hospital and a team of specialists started conducting medical tests on him. It is learnt that the doctors would be conducting 15 to 20 tests on him and it might take some time for the doctors to give their assessment. Police said they would decide on the future course of action basing on medical advice.

It is learnt that they would take him into custody at the hospital, basing on the medical reports and take him to Nirmal for further investigation. Meanwhile, Akbar’s elder brother and MP Asaduddin Owaisi, his party MLAs, leaders and large number of party workers gathered at the Banjara Hills residence of Akbar in large numbers, creating a tense situation. Party workers reached Gandhi hospital also in large numbers. But they were dispersed by the police.

Akbar, who returned from London early Monday, sought four days’ time to appear before police, citing ill-health.

He was directed by the police to appear in Nirmal town police station, about 200 km from here, for questioning with regard to his alleged hate speech delivered last month.However, as he did not go there, police from Nirmal visited Akbar at his residence in Hyderabad and questioned him. They also tried to assess his health condition.

Inspector General of Police A.B. Venkateshwar Rao told reporters later that the investigating officer found Akbar in a fit condition but the legislator complained of some “internal pains”.

Police in Nizamabad had also directed Akbar to appear before them Tuesday in connection with a similar case in that town.

It may be recalled that Akbar through his lawyer sought more time to make personal appearance.

Akbar also moved the state high court, seeking orders to restrain police from arresting him.

He also pleaded that the police be directed not to book further cases. The petition is likely to come up for hearing Wednesday.

Reports from Delhi says that the draft proposal of Telangana has already been submitted to Congress Supremo Sonia Gandhi and she would be taking a decision in a day or two. “She would discuss the issue with Rahul Gandhi, who already had a couple rounds of talks with Telangana and Andhra leaders,” he said.

Expressing anger against the authorities, Kavuri said he had not violated any rule. However, authorities say that any construction or even laying gravel on the bank was banned. They refused permission to the MP to lay gravel road on the bund.

Defying the authorities, Kavuri took a crowbar and shovel and tried to lay a road from Aatapaka under Kaikaluru mandal of Krishna district to Komati Lanka on the bund.

Speaking on the occasion, he said he would not tolerate attempts to stop road construction in the wild life forest. On Sunday night an effort was made to lay a road from the Aatapaka bird sanctuary. Kavuri’s argument is that the GO 20 issued in 1999 provided for repairing existing roads in the sanctuary. Stating that the forest officials have been obstructing laying of road for the past eight years, Kavuri questioned how long could people wait for the road. When he tried to lay gravel, forest officials obstructed him. There was a heated argument between him and the forest officials. He talked to the Chief Conservator of Forests and asked him to permit laying of road to mitigate the problems of the people. Though the official also objected, Kavuri went ahead and tried to lay the road.

Speaking to the media after an emergency meeting with the party leaders at the Party office here on Monday, Asaduddin has lashed out at the Congress party along with the TDP and BJP. He also expressed his anguish over the media.

It may be recalled that a  major controversy arose on the remarks allegedly made by his brother and MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi recently, against the Hindus and the Hindu Gods; and a number of cases were filed against him.  

Asaduddin has alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy was the pucca heir of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao. He said that the MIM will explain to the people the attacks on Muslims and the policies of the State Government. He said that Kiran Kumar Reddy has to remember that his party has lost in 50 Assembly seats and two MP seats in the recent by-elections. He said that the media, which was not bothered about the VHP and BJP activities, was giving bad publicity against MIM Floor leader and Chandrayanagutta MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi.

He said that MIM will teach a fitting lesson to the Congress party. He has alleged that the Congress Government, which has already burdened the people with the surcharges, was trying to burden further the common people. He has alleged that not only the Government but also the opposition parties were neglecting the public problems. He alleged that the State MPs had behaved in an inefficient manner in regard to KG Basin issue.

He said that the MIM knew very well as to how to  protect Akbaruddin Owaisi from the cases.

He also requested the court to direct the police not to arrest him.

Meanwhile, Akbaruddin summoned by the Nirmal police for investigation into his inflammatory speech against Hinduism and Hindu gods reportedly sought 4 days time. Stating that he was unwell, he has pointed out that he went to London only for treatment. 

He sent two lawyers to represent him to Nirmal. They asked the police to give time for four days to the MLA on health grounds.

Akbar’s lawyers who appeared before the Nirmal police avoided the media. They managed to escape the attention of the large group of media persons gathered at the police station.
