Story
B.Tech Babu(Rana) wants to go to US for higher studies and good earning, Rana does some key roles in the dramas with his grandfather(Kota Srinivasa Rao) who is member of Surabhi Drama Company. His grandfather is against to his wish. Babu wants to perform lastly in a drama “Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum” written by his grandfather in Bellary. Devika(Nayanatara) is Tv journalist who comes to Bellary to shoot a documentary on mining mafia. What happens after that? What changes babu and what he learns in his journey is what the movie is about.
Performances
Rana is good and he performed well. His muscular body and expressions overshadowed his performance in crucial scenes, his expressions are hardly visible in emotional scenes. Nayana tara suited to the role of TV Reporter. Kota Srinivasa Rao, Milind Gunaji, Murali Sharma, Posani are okay. L.B.Sriram sparkled once again in a brief role. Brahmanandam delivered poor show. The remaining supporting cast are okay. Music by Manisharma is fantastic. The technical departments Cinematography, Editing score good marks. The Story is good. The screenplay is racy in the second half. The Direction is good in parts.
Analysis
Krish’s much-anticipated follow-up to his ‘Gamyam’ and ‘Vedam’ features Rana Daggubati as B Tech Babu and Nayantara as Devika, a documentary filmmaker. Rana is good, he has given decent performance and in action sequences he is too good. Nayanatara suited to the role. she dubbed her own voice for the first time in Telugu and she is okay. The chemistry between the lead pair is okay. There aren’t much scenes to depict that.
Kota Srinivas rao is good, he was restricted to only a couple of scenes. Posani Krishna Murali is good as cab driver and he evokes some laughs. Brahmanandam have been wasted. Raghu babu and Satyam Rajesh are okay in their roles. Murali sharma is okay. Milind Gunaji suited to the role of antagonist. L.B.Sriram once again tops the others in a brief role in the second half. He delivered good performance. Venkatesh-Rana shared silver screen for the first time (though it’s for few minutes) with Sameera Reddy in an item song and the response in the theaters is huge.
Cinematography is okay. Art work and editing are neat. Music by Manisharma is fantastic , he has come up with some soulful tunes supported by good lyrics. Manisharma once again proved that he is best in BGM. The background score is fantastic. Lyrics by Sirivennela and ES Murthy are good. The story is good and has a lot of potential. The screenplay is also engaging in parts but the Direction could have been better. There are some scenes which appeared dragged. The Dialogues are good in most of the places. The dialogues have deep philosophical insight. The dialogues are big asset to the movie.
The director should first decide on which pattern and mode to proceed. The characters and the roles of the protagonist and antagonists are not properly etched. If the movie have been taken in the artistic way it could have turned into a master piece by showing the struggle and pain of the villagers who lost their land, children and food.. The unnecessary inclusion of so called mass elements and the ups and downs in the graph effected the flow of the movie. Some scenes appeared forced and artificial. The personal grudge and the public frustration/anguish weren’t well balanced towards the end. Krish failed at places in blending the mass elements to a classical and subtle treatment.
Rana has put a lot of effort and it’s evident, He tried his best in the diction of Dialogues in the Drama sequences. All the songs are well picturised. The item song in the Second half is a pop-up. The Climax get-up as Lord Narasimha Swamy in the song just before the climax is very good; for the common mass movie lovers it’s hard to bear the typical Drama sequences which may bore them.
The first half is okay(even though nothing much happens) and the second half is just okay(with good climax). Krish should definitely be commended for the effort made to portray the essence of Bhagavad-Gita; the movie has a subtle message and is thought provoking. The movie surely gets good reviews from intellects but it’s commercial success solely depends on how it fares at the B,C Centers. How family Audience receive this flick is awaited.
Plus: Music, Dialogues, Performances
Minus: Slow beginning, Comedy, drama scenes,Artificial scenes
Verdict: Decent Attempt, Krish tried to narrate a serious issue in a commercial way and succeeded to some extent
Salman becoming Bollywood’s “Stalin”
He scored hattrick of hits with Ready and Bodyguard and is now busy with Kick. As if this is not enough sources say Sallu Miya is keen to become Bollywood’s ‘Stalin’. The film is a south Indian starrer featuring Megastar Chiranjeevi directed by top director Murugadoss. Murugadoss recently scored a hit with Tupakki and is taking it to Bollywood presenting it to Akshay Kumar.
Salman in the meanwhile sources say will reprise Chiranjeevi’s role in this Bollywood version, which is to be directed by brother Sohail Khan.Salman is yet to give the nod for Stalin and the filmmaker might announce the project once the actor agrees to it.
Stalin was written and directed by AR Murugadoss and the film had Trisha, Prakash Raj and Khushboo essaying important roles. The movie, which has the music of Mani Sharma, was a successful film at the Tollywood box office and is one of the highest grossers in 2006.
Can Dalapathi team create Double Dhamaka?
Even now the film is remembered and now sources say both the stars are getting ready for another Dalapathi. Insiders reveal that Maniratnam’s office is full of discussion with superstar’s film. Superstar’s fans are discussing what deadly impact the film will create. One wonder whether the film includes the same starcast of Malayalam superstar Mammutty and retired but not tired handsome hero Aravind Swamy.
Aravind Swamy is currently starring in Maniratnam’s Kadal while Superstar is busy with his film Kochadiyan. The moment official announcement comes the project will be closely followed with scribes competing between themselves as to what could be the storyline.
Moms and grannies silver screen sizzlers
Now moms and grannies are getting ready to sizzle on silverscreen. It is not that moms and grannies are going to rock on silver screen but beautiful stars are getting ready to sizzle in the roles of moms and grannies. While Sneha is getting ready to star as mom of ten year old boy in the film Haridas directed by Kumaravelan, Bollywood beauty Rekha is going onestep ahead turning grand mother of Sharman Joshi in her next film directed by Indra Kumar.
Sneha says she agreed for the role as it is important role in the film and director insisted and impressed on her that only she can do justice for the role while sources speaking about Rekha’s role says “The actor plays a US-returned guy, who is extremely fond of his naani (Rekha). He stands up for her when she is ill-treated by the family. Randhir Kapoor plays Sharman’s grandfather.”
Brahmanandam insulting brahmins?
The same incident repeated in King Nagarjuna starrer Damarukam where he was seen as a brahmin house owner who rents his house to Nagarjuna. Nagarjuna enjoys merrily with out paying rent and when Brahmi asks rent, he takes him to task beating him to the core. One wonder how could Nag who robs people of lakhs and crores and donates to orphan homes stay for free at Brahmi’s house.
Even now in Rana starrer Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum, Brahmanandam is seen as a drama artist and he is shown at the recieving end with the hero and other characters. It seems film makers in their effort to show Brahmi as comedian is making laughing stock of him and in turn insulting various communities.
Rana’s battle with Amir
While Amir promoted his film on a huge scale even appearing in small screen exclusively on CID screened on Sony TV, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum is releasing across the world in a grand manner in about 1000 screens. KVJ will surely affect Talaash collections atleast in AP for the first couple of days.
Rana and even the film makers are planning to take the film even in Bollywood considering Rana’s image there. KVJ is an action adventure film , directed by the renowned director Krish . The story of the movie is set in the background of the Surabhi theater play and Bellary which is currently in news for the mining controversy. Rana plays the role of B Tech Babu and is a somewhat reluctant theater actor.
Amir’s Talaash, on the other hand, is a psychological thriller starring Aamir Khan as the cop. IThe story of this movie isthat a police officer Aamir Khan as inspector Suri is trying to solve the murder mystery of a high-profile actor, who was killed in an accident. The story actually brings together the life of three unrelated people in different ways.
Tamil small film makes merry

Rajinikanth in Mani Ratnam’s next?

Will Review turn in to money for KVJ?

Will Lawrence’s mystic magic impress Super Star
decided to dedicate a special album to him on his birthday. Rajnikanth will turn 62 on the 12 th December
2012.
In his recent statement, he revealed that he is a really big fan of Rajnikantth, and that he also holds
Rajnikanth in a high pedestal as he is really a very good human being. So he is dedicating a special album
for Rajni sir for his birthday this December, which will be on 12-12-12. The music for this special album
will be composed by music director Vijay Antony. This album will also be a treat for all of Rajnikanth’s
fans.
However, unnamed sources have revealed that Raghava Lawrence has other intentions behind this
birthday gift. It is said that his recently released movie Rebel which had starred Prabhas and Tamanna as
the lead pair did quite poorly at the box office. The producers have put the blame for the losses of this
movie on the shoulder of Lawrence. Post this debacle, none of the producers are agreeable to work with
him and invest in his projects.
This birthday gift is, thus, being seen as his stunt to establish a gateway to get an opportunity to work
with Rajnikanth. Now it has to be seen whether Lawrence’s mystic magic will impress Super Star or not.
Can Princess Priyamani become another Mitravinda
upcoming Telugu movie. Till now she has done mostly performance-based roles and some glamorous
roles as well.
The movie is a period film as the story is set in an era of 400 years ago. The man who will be donning
the director’s hat for this movie is Prem Arya, who was the former associate of filmmaker Anishankar.
He revealed that it is Priyamani who will play the warrior princess in the movie. He also informed that
the film will be shot at an ancient fort in Chandragiri near Tirupati, which will tentatively start around 5 th
December.
Most actresses have attained huge success after working in period films. Right from Anushka, whose
work in Arundhathi did wonders to her career graph, to Kajal Agarwal, who acted in Magadheera
(Maaveeran in Tamil), another period film, marked the rise for her. Whether this period film is able to
work the same magic for Priyamani, will be decided only after the release of the movie.
However, she has also said yes to act in another movie to be directed by director Samudra.
Ileana’s romantic Bollywood ride
