Dookudu prodcuer turns director !

Anil Sunkara who co-produced Mahesh Babu’s Dookudu is all set to become a director.He also produced movies like Bindass and Allari Naresh’s Aha Na Pellanta. The movie is a 15 crore budget bilingual 3D film. Allari Naresh, Vaibhav, Kick Shyam, Raju Sundaram, Sneha Ullal, Vimala Raman, Kamna Jethmalani, Neelam and two other heroines are staring in the movie.
The film will be launched on Ugadi (March 23) at a special ceremony in Chennai city. AP former CM and Tamil Nadu Governor, Rosaiah will be the Chief Guest for the event. For the Telugu version, Kodanda Rami Reddy will sound the clap board and A.M.Ratnam will direct the first scene. For the Tamil version of the film, Tamil star Simbu will sound the clap board and director Linguswamy will direct the first shot.

Allari Naresh under Pressure !

Common notion in Tollywood is Allari Naresh is a safe bet minimum guarantee hero who is very feasible to small producers. He is almost on run till mid 2010 with up to 10 movies releasing per year. A movie with Naresh can be made with 3-4 crores budget and is guaranteed with minimum openings. However, scene reversed off late. His Aha na Pellanta, Madatha Kaja bombed at the box office. His latest movie Nuvva Nena could not even manage to get a quarter of his earlier movies.

His position in Tollywood came under severe threat with advent of Sunil as hero. Our sources in Tollywood says that Allari Naresh was crestfallen with his father’s death. He had become irregular coming to shootings and is also a little disinterested in movie making. Hence, producers are looking at other alternatives like Sunil who are in the same league.

Mass Maha Raja Ravi Teja is currently reeling under the pressure of back to back flops in the form of Veera and Nippu. He is trying all his might to make amends in the form of his latest movie, Dharuvu. The movie shooting is expected to be completed by the 25th of this month and the movie is expected to release on May 4th. The audio album is expected to be out in April.

The movie is being produced by Burugupalli Sivaramakrishna and ‘Souryam’ fame Shiva is the directing the movie. Taapsee is pairing up with Ravi Teja once again in this movie after Veera. Vijay Anthony is scoring the music

Ileana’s successful evening business has finally come to an end in Hyderabad city, say sources. There is nothing confusing about this as everyone knows that Ileana owns a designer store in the famous Inorbit mall of Hyderabad, which is run by her mother. From the last six months there is no sale of a single collection in the store ‘Ileana’ and even visitors have stopped dropping in, the source adds. In the wake of losses, our hour glass beauty has decided to close the store it seems, which is inaugurated by none other than RaNa.

From a couple of weeks, the store remained closed and the front display boards are getting removed. With many options available for fashion in the market, youth may not get flatten for the collection of a particular heroine? For the kind of remunerations she earns in film-circuits, the store’s earning are peanuts and this might have forced her for shut down.

Ram Charan to romance with Priyanka Chopra in Zanjeer

It is evident that Ram Charan is debuting in Bollywood with the remake of the 1973 blockbuster Zanjeer, which is to be directed by Apoorva Lakhia. There has been buzz earlier that Deepika Padukone might be roped in for the leading lady role. But the latest buzz says Priyanka Chopra has been offered the role.

If the buzz is to be believed Priyanka Chopra is said to be offered a whopping remuneration of Rs 11 crore for her part to reprise the role of Jaya Bachchan. Zanjeer, set against an oil mafia backdrop is being produced by Prakash Mehra’s son Amit Mehra and Reliance Entertainment.

Speaking on the news sources from Mumbai informed, “Priyanka has been approached for the film. But she is yet to take a final decision.”

The film is set for a launch on April 13 and if all goes well, the Mega Power Star will romance Priyanka Chopra, who is expected to play a NRI cafe owner.

Apparently, sources from Chennai reveal that Prasanna’s parents who are quite conservative were dead against this alliance for various reasons.

However, the latest update is that the wedding date has been fixed and it is happening on May11th. For now, it is not sure if a compromise has been reached but Kollywood cine folks reveal that the parents have finally agreed to the marriage. 11 years of drought ends for Pawan Kalyan!

Power star Pawan Kalyan has been out of form for eleven years. After delivering blockbuster with Khushi, Pawan Kalyan never managed to repeat that feat until now. Ram Charan banking on heroine star power

Ram Charan’s Bollywood debut is just few days away from now. He decided to do Zanjeer remake as his debut film in Hindi. Director Apoorva Lakhia believes that Charan could be the new ‘angry young man’ of Bollywood. This film is going to be made simultaneously in Telugu and with a whopping budget of 70 crore rupees.

With so much money at stake, it is going to be a huge gamble for Zanjeer makers as Charan doesn’t have any image or star power to shoulder the film at the box office. So the producer and director are trying to get the padding right. A star heroine is compulsory for this film to draw the attention of majority audience.

They have tried to rope in Deepika Padukone as the female lead, but the actress is too busy to adjust dates for Zanjeer. The latest we hear is the makers of this movie are in talks with another top actress Priyanka Chopra. She is yet to give a nod to the movie. After Karnataka, 2 Gujarat MLAs caught watching porn

After the porngate scandal in Karnataka, two BJP MLAs were caught watching obscene pictures in the Gujarat Assembly on Tuesday. Two legislators Shankar Chaudhury and Jetha Bharwad have come under the scanner with this incident.

Vernacular newspaper’s journalist who is recording the proceedings of the Assembly bought this matter to the notice of Speaker. “At first Shankar Chaudhury showed his new tablet to the another MLA Jetha Bharwad. They started watching the pictures of Swami Vivekananda, followed by cartoons and after that obscene pictures of women. I complained it to the Speaker and the directions were given to MLAs to stop watching porn,” said the Journalist.

However, both the MLAs denied reports that they were viewing porn in the Assembly and also accused that someone has started malicious campaign against them to tarnish their image. Under severe pressure from the Opposition, a probe was ordered by the Speaker.

Titled ‘Ee Rojullo’, the movie’s trailers and 30 second ads have become viral on the web. Even on TVs, these bits of ‘Ee Rojullo’ are shocking families for their volatile content about youth and their behaviors. Slated to be a love story with reality touch, the movie is directed by debutant Maruthi and is made on a shoe-string budget of 50 lakhs. With mouth talk spreading like wild fire for this movie, RaNa’s ‘Naa Ishtam’ is getting comparatively less attention, say observers.

This said to be worrying our Daggubati hunk a lot as he is dreaming to rise as a big-commercial hero with this movie.

War between Chiru fans and Pawan fans

The reports of rift between Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan is now leading to a war-like situation between their fan base. The fans of both these heroes were indulging in mud-slinging acts.

“Without Chiru, there is no Pawan Kalyan. He is currently enjoying the hard earned fan base of Chiru, which he has built over the past three decades. One shouldn’t forget the roots. It’s time for Pawan to come clean and clear the air. Only then the controversy will end,” said a hardcore Chiru Fan.

However, Pawan fans have a thing or two to say here. “Pawan has his own identity. Chiru lost his credibilty after his entry into the political arena due to several factors (Neglecting fans during 2009 elections, reports of selling party tickets and merger with Congress). On the other hand, Pawan stood by his word that he would quit politics completely if PRP fails to win atleast 65 seats in the 2009 polls. There lies the difference between the duo,” said a Pawan fan.

Chiranjeevi to go Rajinikanth’s way!

Megastar Chiranjeevi has been facing one question from his fans and media whenever he participates in a film related function. “When is your 150th film?” is the question that has been haunting Chiranjeevi for over a period of time. Chiru is neither declining nor declaring about the talk of his landmark film. He is giving the same reasons time and again, but is not coming up with a solid reply.

If the buzz from the film town has to be believed, Megastar is likely to do a ‘performance capture’ film as his 150th movie. Taking a cue out of his contemporary, the superstar Rajinikanth, our megastar is toying with the idea of doing a film in Kochadaiyan style. For this all that Chiru has to do is spend some time with the experts who will capture his reactions, walk and body language.

Chiranjeevi need not go in front of the camera and strain his body physically at this age. Everything will be graphically done and Chiru can happily get along with his political works, while the film is under progress. However, this film will only take shape if Rajinikanth’s movie clicks at the box office. Let us see if someone goes and impresses Chiranjeevi to do the greasepaint before he decides to take up an animated movie!

Mahesh’s ‘Bava’ with different treat this time

Prince Mahesh Babu and his mania at the box office needs no introduction. Right now, another member from his family is doing his best to grow in the circuit. He is Sudheer Babu, brother- in-law of Mahesh who recently made his debut with the film ‘SMS’. Though the film didn’t work much, Sudheer got few decent marks for his dance and fights.

Now, it is heard that he is all set to take off with another movie and this one is slated to be a total action entertainer. This is going to be directed by Vamsi Krishna Akella who made the horror flick ‘Raksha’. Buzz is that a noted producer is helming this project and Sudheer from his end wants to give his hundred percent.

Since it is just the starting stage and there is a long way for Sudheer to go, the cine folks are waiting to see whether he can reach atleast half of his ‘Bava’s success and graphs. While he looks confident, the coming years will give a clear picture on how fate will shape up his career.

Pawan Kalyan set to create another sensation

Power Star Pawan Kalyan is on a roll these days. After signing up ‘Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu’ under Puri Jagan’s direction, Pawan has taken up yet another sensational project. Pawan signed on the dotted line for BVSN Prasad’s next production, which would be directed by none other than Trivikram Srinivas.

Needless to say that Trivikram is the only director who delivered a hit with Pawan Kalyan post Kushi. Trivikram is known for writing scripts according to the image and body language of the heroes. He is currently doing a film with Allu Arjun, which would release in June/July. Pawan’s film will start rolling from October, after he is done with CGR.

Trivikram, who gave a completely new look to Mahesh Babu in Khaleja, which has introduced the comic angle of the superstar, is all set to present Power Star in an all new avatar in this film. Pawan Kalyan is reportedly impressed with the script and hero characterization. Gabbar Singh introduction fight in Gujarat

The talkie part shooting of Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming movie ‘Gabbar Singh’ is nearing completion. The introduction fight of the movie will be shot from 23rd of this month in Gujarat. The fight is said to be one of the highlights in the movie and will be choreographed by Ram – Lakshman brothers. With this fight, the movie shooting will be complete except for 2 songs which will be shot in Foreign. The audio release of the movie will take place on April 7th and movie will hit screens in May.

Gabbar Singh has Shruti Haasan in the lead role opposite Pawan Kalyan. ‘Mirapakaay’ Harish Shankar is the director of this movie and Ganesh Babu is the producer. Music has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad

Inside reports suggest that Telugu Desam Party is trying to field Collection King Mohan Babu from here in bielection. Recently, Chandra Babu Naidu attended the birthday celebrations of Mohan Babu and had 2 hours of private conversation with the actor. The actor reportedly is still undecided about taking a decision as his son Vishnu married a girl from YSR party.With his tremedous diction and filmy image, Telugu Desam Party feels it will be an asset to them if Mohan Babu agrees to contest.

On the other side, YSR Congress Party had given the Tirupati seat to B.Karunakar Reddy.

His second movie, Nenu Na Rakshasi is also the story of sad lover in which Rana did not offer much in terms of dance.These two movies had brought an impression on audience that Rana is not a good dancer.
