Share

Tharun Bhascker is a versatile talent who has explored multiple facets of the film industry, including television hosting, acting, dialogue writing, and direction. While he has recently stepped into lead roles, his films as a hero have not delivered the expected results at the box office.

Addressing these setbacks during a press meet for his upcoming film Gaayapadda Simham, Tharun Bhascker said that failures should never discourage anyone. He stressed that one should not give up after one or two disappointments and must continue striving toward success with confidence and perseverance.

The filmmaker also made an exciting announcement, revealing that he is set to return to direction with ENE Repeat, the sequel to his cult classic Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi. The news has already generated strong buzz among fans and film lovers.

Speaking further about his future plans, Tharun Bhascker said, “I have signed a film with Venkatesh, a project for Amazon Prime, and another off-beat film that is currently in the planning stage. These will be my upcoming directorial ventures. I have not quit direction, and I will not stop acting either.”

Excel Entertainment Seeks ₹40 Cr Compensation From Ranveer Over Don 3 Exit

Share

Farhan Akhtar’s production banner, Excel Entertainment, has reportedly demanded a hefty compensation from Ranveer Singh following his exit from Don 3. According to industry sources, the production house is seeking damages of nearly ₹40 crore.

Don 3 was scheduled to go on floors in January 2026 and had already reached an advanced stage of pre-production. Sources reveal that Excel Entertainment had made substantial investments in script development, scheduling, location scouting, and other preparatory work well in advance.

The compensation claim is said to be based on these sunk costs, as well as the production delays caused by Ranveer Singh’s sudden withdrawal from the project. While neither Excel Entertainment nor Ranveer has released an official statement so far, the development has sparked intense speculation and buzz within film industry circles.

Ranveer Singh was officially announced as the new face of the Don franchise in 2023, stepping into the iconic role previously portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan in Don (2006) and Don 2 (2011), both of which also starred Priyanka Chopra.

The Don franchise originally began with Amitabh Bachchan’s 1978 cult classic, written by Salim–Javed, and has since evolved into one of Bollywood’s most recognisable and enduring action-thriller series.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is currently focused on Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar. The film, which also stars Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and several other prominent actors, is slated for a theatrical release on March 19.

Nani Pins Hindi Market Hopes On ‘The Paradise’

Share

Actor Nani is making yet another determined push to establish himself in the Hindi market — a territory that has so far remained challenging for him despite multiple releases.

Films such as Dasara, Hi Nanna, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, and HIT 3 failed to create any notable impact in North India, with reports suggesting that the collections did not even recover the heavy promotional costs involved. However, Nani remains undeterred and firmly believes that cracking the Hindi belt is essential to earning a true pan-Indian identity.

With this clear goal in mind, the actor has now reworked his strategy for his upcoming film The Paradise. For the first time, Nani has brought on board a top Hindi distribution banner to handle the film’s North Indian release. Adding to this, a dedicated PR team has been hired exclusively for the Hindi version to ensure aggressive, targeted, and sustained promotions across the region.

Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise is currently under production, and Nani is optimistic that the film will finally give him a respectable and long-awaited breakthrough in the Hindi market.

Meanwhile, Nani continues to enjoy a strong success streak in the Telugu states, with his recent films performing consistently well at the box office. However, that success is yet to translate beyond his core Telugu audience — a gap he is now determined to bridge with The Paradise.

Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana Kamineni Konidela, recently shared a deeply emotional note reflecting on the journey that led to the birth of their twins, revealing that astrology played an important role in the process.

A few days after welcoming the babies, Upasana posted a heartfelt video that offered a rare glimpse into the spiritual and astrological planning behind the delivery. The video features renowned astrologer Mahesh Bang, who explained that a highly auspicious date and time were carefully chosen for the birth.

“I found one auspicious date and time — January 31, after 11:30 PM,” he revealed in the video.

The footage also highlights the unique coordination between doctors, nurses, astrologers, and spiritual guides, all working together to ensure a smooth, meaningful, and positive experience. Several emotional moments are captured as well, including touching visuals of Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, both visibly overwhelmed with joy and gratitude.

Sharing the video, Upasana wrote that watching it makes her heart feel full. She expressed sincere gratitude to everyone who stood by her family with love, strength, and positivity, and thanked fans and well-wishers for their prayers. She also made a humble request for people to respect the safety and privacy of the children.

Earlier, the couple released their first official statement announcing the arrival of a baby boy and a baby girl, which sparked massive celebrations among Ram Charan’s fans. When the actor visited Apollo Hospital to see Upasana and the newborns, huge crowds gathered, though the situation was later brought under control.

Ram Charan and Upasana, who tied the knot in 2012, are already parents to their daughter Klin Kaara, making this new chapter even more special for the family.

Jr NTR’s Dragon Resumes Shooting with Prashant Neel’s Vibrant Visuals

Share

Jr NTR is set to resume shooting for his highly anticipated film Dragon (rumoured title), with a massive 20-day schedule expected to begin soon in Jordan. Reports suggest that the extensive overseas shoot marks a significant step forward, indicating that the project has gained strong momentum after earlier delays.

The film has generated huge buzz, not only due to Jr NTR’s presence but also because of director Prashant Neel’s surprising creative shift. Known for his signature dark, gritty visuals in films like KGF and Salaar, Neel is reportedly taking a completely different visual approach for Dragon. He is moving away from desaturated tones and heavy palettes, opting instead for vibrant, colourful visuals.

Sources say Neel aims to present Dragon in a fresh, visually rich avatar that appeals to audiences, without repeating the familiar dark colour grading of his previous films.

The ensemble cast includes Rukmini Vasanth and Anil Kapoor in key roles, with Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas reportedly joining the project, though official confirmation is awaited.

Earlier delays were caused by discussions over minimal changes to the storyline, but the makers have confirmed that everything is now on track. With shooting progressing smoothly, Dragon is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing departures in Prashant Neel’s career.

Pooja Hegde Buzz Often Fades After Big Film Announcements

Share

Pooja Hegde often makes headlines during big film announcements, only to fade from the conversation later. Her name trends briefly amid aggressive publicity, then disappears without any official updates.

This pattern has repeated across multiple projects, raising questions about whether the buzz reflects genuine casting decisions or is simply part of strategic promotion by studios and marketers.

Currently, her name is linked to Nani’s film directed by Sujeeth, rumored to be Bloody Romeo, although no official announcement has been made. Trade chatter also connects her to Anil Ravipudi’s next film with Venkatesh, with both Keerthy Suresh and Pooja Hegde floated as possible leads for a festival release next year.

Earlier, similar speculation surrounded a Dhanush project, which ultimately moved forward with another actress.

Repeated cycles like this have left fans skeptical. Many question why Pooja Hegde’s name is frequently announced but quietly replaced, creating more noise than confirmation across multiple films.

Chandrababu Naidu Heads to Delhi to Meet Union Ministers, Discuss AP Funds and Politics

Share

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu left for a one-day visit to New Delhi on Monday and is expected to meet at least five Union ministers on Tuesday, before returning to Amaravati later in the evening.

The visit comes amid a series of unexpected political developments in Andhra Pradesh, particularly the controversy over the CBI-led SIT report on adulteration of Tirumala ghee, which has triggered a significant political debate in the state.

Sources indicate that Naidu is scheduled to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah. In addition to governance-related matters, political issues are expected to feature prominently in their discussions, particularly the latest developments in the ‘laddu’ controversy, including the charge sheet reportedly filed by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Naidu is likely to brief the Union Home Minister on these developments.

Meanwhile, speculation is circulating in New Delhi about a possible expansion of the Union Cabinet, with discussions suggesting that Andhra Pradesh may be allotted an additional ministerial berth. This has led to debates over which leader from the ruling coalition in the state could be considered. The BJP is also reportedly considering offering nominated posts at the Centre to its allies from Andhra Pradesh, which may also feature in Naidu’s discussions with central leaders.

Apart from Amit Shah, Naidu is expected to hold meetings with Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and Union Agriculture Minister, among others. The discussions are likely to focus on the allocation of funds for various projects, schemes, and programs in Andhra Pradesh, as well as administrative matters concerning the state.

Sources suggest that the Chief Minister is aiming to secure funds from key central ministries before the end of the current financial year. Proposals related to these allocations are expected to be discussed in detail during the meetings.

Ambati Rambabu Granted Bail in Chandrababu Naidu Remarks Case

Share

Senior YSR Congress Party leader and former minister Ambati Rambabu received significant relief on Monday in cases related to alleged inappropriate remarks against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, even as he continues to face legal proceedings in another matter.

Rambabu, currently lodged as a remand prisoner in Rajahmundry Central Jail, had filed a bail petition in the Guntur court concerning a case registered over his alleged objectionable comments against the Chief Minister. Earlier, the High Court had granted him relief in 35 cases filed against him, and on Monday, the Guntur court granted bail in the remaining cases.

The case regarding the alleged remarks was registered by the Nallapadu police in Guntur. Rambabu was arrested overnight on January 31 and produced before a court the next morning, after which he was remanded to Rajahmundry Central Jail.

Meanwhile, the police had filed a petition in the Guntur court seeking custody of Rambabu for further investigation. In response, Rambabu filed a bail petition. After hearing both petitions, the court granted him bail, providing major relief to the YSRCP leader.

However, Rambabu’s legal challenges are not over. In a separate case linked to a YSRCP protest against the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model in medical colleges, he was brought from Rajahmundry to Guntur on a personal threat (PT) warrant and produced before a special judicial court. After hearing the matter, the judge remanded him to judicial custody for 14 days, meaning he will continue to remain in custody despite securing bail in the earlier case.

Naga Chaitanya Gears Up for Landmark 25th Film With Bedduru Lanka

Share

Tollywood’s young hero, Akkineni Naga Chaitanya, is widely recognized for carving his own identity in the industry as the heir of Nagarjuna. From the start of his career, Chaitanya has impressed audiences by choosing diverse concepts and experimenting with different storylines, building a special fan base along the way.

Currently, Chaitanya is working on his 24th film, Vrusha Karma, directed by Karthik Dandu of Virupaksha fame, which is in its final stages of shooting. Meanwhile, the actor is also focusing on his 25th landmark film, though no official announcements have been made regarding the project or the lead cast.

Speculations in the industry have been swirling. Initially, there were talks that Chaitanya would collaborate with Shiva Nirvana for his landmark 25th film, and it was said that he gave the green signal after hearing the story. Around the same time, rumors circulated about a potential collaboration with top director Boyapati Srinu, but no updates followed, leading many to assume Shiva Nirvana was still the frontrunner.

Recently, there were whispers that Chaitanya might team up with a new director, Kishore, whose story reportedly impressed the actor, and a formal announcement could follow soon. However, these too have remained unconfirmed, keeping the project under wraps.

Meanwhile, Shiva Nirvana is currently busy with a project starring senior actor Raviteja, which will take time to complete. As a result, it seems increasingly unlikely that he will direct Chaitanya’s 25th film. Industry buzz now suggests that Clocks fame Bedduru Lanka has been roped in to direct the landmark movie, with a love story script that Chaitanya reportedly liked. The film is said to be produced by Bunny Vasu, and an official announcement is expected soon.

It is noteworthy that Chaitanya is opting for a genre that resonates well with him for this landmark project, and fans are already commenting on the strong planning behind it. The big question remains whether the film will turn out to be a hit, and audiences eagerly await its release.

Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan Release Delayed Amid CBFC Dispute

Share

Thalapathy Vijay’s political ambitions are beginning to impact his film career, as the release of his Jana Nayagan film, initially slated for the Pongal season, has been delayed due to censor-related issues.

In response, the makers approached the Madras High Court and subsequently the Supreme Court, taking an unconventional legal route to challenge the CBFC. However, the Supreme Court refrained from intervening and sent the matter back to the Madras High Court. Following this, the production team appears to have changed its approach.

According to the latest updates, KVN Production LLP has decided to withdraw the writ petition against the CBFC. Their counsel, Vijayan Subramanian, informed the Madras High Court registry via a letter stating that the producer will now approach the CBFC’s Revising Committee instead and will not continue with the legal proceedings.

The timing of this withdrawal raises questions, as the delay has already caused significant consequences. Missing the lucrative Pongal season and the early February release window means the film has lost crucial momentum. One option could have been to release the film after the Tamil Nadu general elections, but that too would result in diminished audience interest.

With the elections approaching and increasing pressure from OTT platforms, the makers have now opted to withdraw the case. While this step may be necessary, it comes late in the timeline, and the impact on the film’s initial hype cannot be undone. Ultimately, fans will have to wait to see when Jana Nayagan will actually hit theaters amid this complex situation.
