Shankar’s Plans Damaged By ‘Pushpa 2’ Release Date!
With the glimpse of ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ releasing long back, many expected this pan-Indian project to hit the screens in the initial months of 2024. But the makers were slow with the production process and people expected it to get postponed to summer. But the team of ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ have officially announced that they will be releasing the movie on 15th August 2024.
They decided to cash in on the Independence Day weekend next year. The long weekend is definitely going to help the film in registering huge box office numbers. But there are a few other biggies that planned to arrive on this date but did not announce it officially. The latest sources reveal that legendary filmmaker Shankar wanted to release either ‘Game Changer’ or ‘Indian 2’ on the Independence Day.
Since ‘Indian 2’ revolves around patriotism, it may be the perfect time to release the flick. Even ‘Game Changer’ is a message-oriented political drama. Apparently, Kamal & Co are planning to release ‘Indian 2’ on that day which may result in competing with Allu Arjun’s film. We need to wait and see when Shankar releases his two prestigious projects now that the Independence Day weekend is booked by Bunny & Sukumar.
‘Game Changer’ is produced by Dil Raju. Kiara Advani will be seen romancing Ram Charan in this flick and there are many top actors like Srikanth, SJ Suryah, Anjali, Sunil and others who are playing key roles. Ram Charan will be seen playing two roles in the film and reports suggest that we get to see him as father and son.
Addala Confirms On ‘Pedha Kapu’ Bring Connected To PK!
As we know, well-known director Srikanth Addala is coming with ‘Pedha Kapu – 1’ which is releasing on 29th September. Unlike his previous films, it is a raw rural political drama filled with loads of action. The theatrical trailer surprised everyone and people are curious to see how the movie is going to be.
There is a talk going on that claims that ‘Pedha Kapu’ is connected to Pawan Kalyan as the title is related to her caste. Srikanth Addala decided to give clarity on this issue. He stated, “The protagonist represents every common man. Irrespective of caste, position, religion, money, and all everyone is a common man, having all emotions. The story has no connection with Pawan Kalyan. In fact, he is also a common man.”
Virat Karrna is getting introduced as the hero with ‘Peda Kapu’. Legendary actor Kamal Hassan is riding high on the success of his action drama ‘Vikram’ and he is currently working on ‘Indian 2’ under Shankar’s direction. As we know, he is teaming up with legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam after 36 years. In 1987, they created a cult classic film ‘Nayakudu’ and movie lovers speak about it even today.
#KH234 has been announced last year. Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, R Mahendran, and Siva Ananth will be producing the movie under their banners Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies. Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies presents the film. According to the latest reports, Mani Ratnam is planning to bring top South Indian actors onboard. The list includes Jayam Ravi, Trisha and Malayalam star hero Dulquer Salaman. It is expected to be a thriller and having such big names is surely increasing the hype on this prestigious project.
Talking about the film Kamal said, “I was equally excited 35 years before when I was about to start work with Mr. Mani Ratnam. Collaborating with a similar mindset is stimulating. This stimulation includes Mr. Rahman as well. Eagerly looking forward to presenting this venture with Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin.” Mani Ratnam stated that he is happy, honoured and excited to collaborate with Kamal Sir again.
