Sankranti is the biggest festive season for Tollywood. Starting from small films to pan-Indian projects, every kind of movie wants to hit the screens during this period. Next year, around 4-5 big films are ready to hit the screens during the Pongal season.

One of them is Young Rebel Star Prabhas’ ‘Project K’ which is being directed by Nag Ashwin. It is a science fiction movie and the next in line is superstar Mahesh Babu and Trivikram’s action entertainer ‘Guntur Kaaram’. The makers already announced that it will hit the screens on 13th January. Pawan Kalyan is arriving with ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ and Shankar’s pan-Indian project ‘Indian 2’ with Kamal Hasan is releasing at the same time.

Along with that, there is a high chance of ‘Pushpa 2’ hitting the screens during the festive season as well. At least three or four films from this lot will be locking horns with each other during the Sankranti season. The audience show a lot of interest in watching all the big films during this festive period. But the Telangana elections are going to be in January and the election commission has already announced it. There is a huge probability of Andhra Pradesh elections being held in advance as well.

If this happens, the effect of elections is going to be huge on the cinemas. Movies and politics are the most interesting topics in the Telugu states. With the election mood catching up to the public during the Sankranti period, the movies will have a huge problem with it. We need to see if the exciting Sankranti season gets affected by the elections or not.

Chief Ministers and leaders in the state visiting Delhi grabs everyone’s attention and starts new political discussions. It is known that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy went to Delhi. Post the meeting, the debate of possible early elections started in the state.

Now it appears like it is the turn of Chandrababu Naidu to visit Delhi after YS Jagan. During the same, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The Indian government recently held the G20 Summit in Kashmir which highlighted the Tourism aspect. The event became a super success and Global star Ram Charan attended the event. A few delegates also danced with Ram Charan for the Naatu Naatu song.

The 2023 G20 New Delhi summit will be held in a few months and this is the first G20 summit in the country. Ahead of this, the Indian government planned a crucial event in India, and leaders from various states and parties would take part in the key meeting.

Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu is also among the invited guests for the meeting as per the meeting. The meeting is expected to commence on Sunday and the leaders started landing in the national capital. All eyes are on the meeting now.

The meeting grabbed everyone’s attention as a few reports say that Chandrababu Naidu might meet Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. During the meeting, the talks of the alliance would pop up. The general elections are just one year away from now.

Winning the next elections is the need of the hour for the TDP as the party cannot see the future without this. TDP leadership is exploring all the possible ways for this and alliance is one of them. We have to wait and see what happens next.

What Teja said during the pre-release event of ‘Ahimsa’ has turned out to be true. After completing ninety percent of the shooting, Suresh Babu looked at the rushes and asked them to stop everything. But Teja keeping the word given to Ramanaidu and completing the film became the highlight of his speech. But Suresh Babu’s vast experience and knowledge proved to be right as the public talk for this movie is completely negative. The reviews were also not favourable.

The movie got minimum openings because of the Daggubati brand as it would have gotten even lesser money than ‘Nenu Student Sir’ and ‘Pareshan’ if not for the sir name. Also, Abhiram failed to impress with his acting skills. The way Teja dealt with the movie has tortured the audience and adding unnecessary subplots in the revenge drama along with situationless songs led to a lot of criticism.

The fears of the audience which started after watching Teja’s ‘Sita’ became even stronger now. After this movie, Teja is expected to start ‘Rakshasa Raju’ with Rana. They made a hit film like ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’ earlier. As Suresh Babu did not produce ‘Ahimsa’, he might not have been involved in the script work but he is expected to take care of everything in ‘Rakshasa Raju’. Teja needs to change his narration style if he wants a hit and we need to see if it happens or not.

Ravishing beauty Rakul Preet Singh is a known name to everyone in Tollywood. She turned into a star heroine in Telugu within a short time and worked with most of the big stars in Tollywood as well as Kollywood. Despite having a huge craze in the South, she decided to test her luck in Bollywood and made her debut with ‘Aiyaary’. The first film happened when I was in college.”

She added, “But, I fell short of attendance and then I was like no, let me finish my college. So yeah I gave myself 2 years, luckily things worked out. But Plan B was that I would do an MBA in Fashion but, luckily I didn’t have to do that, it worked out.”

Her last film in Telugu was ‘Kondapolam’ and she is yet to get another offer from Tollywood filmmakers. She is dating top Bollywood producer Jackie Bhagnani. Rakul had a lot of Bollywood releases in 2022 which include ‘Doctor G’ with Ayushmann Khurrana, ‘Thank God’ with Siddharth Malhotra, ‘Runway 34’ with Ajay Devgn and ‘Attack’. All these movies were commercial failures while she was playing a condom tester in her recent movie ‘Chattriwali’. She is also playing a key role in Kamal Hassan’s ‘Indian 2’. She also working on two other projects namely ‘Ayalaan’ and ‘Meri Patni Ka Remake’.

Odisha Train Row Left Irreplaceable Pain For Many AP Families!

The peaceful state of Odisha is in the news since yesterday due to the deadly Railway accident. Three trains collided with each other and hundreds of victims breathed their last. Their families are crying their hearts out for their loved ones. It is so heart-wrenching to see people crying for help and trying to help their loved ones who were injured.

The count of victims and dead victims kept on increasing as the rescue operations went deeper. A few teams from different states reached the spot for the rescue. Their collective efforts resulted in shifting the injured victims to the nearby hospital for treatment.

Well, the Train accident left a big impact on Andhra Pradesh as around 100 people from the state are said to have breathed their last. (Shalimar- Madras) Coromandel Express and (Yashwantpur – Howrah) Express collided with each other. There are over 300 people from Andhra Pradesh on the two trains.

The majority of the victims were supposed to get off at various Railway Stations in Andhra Pradesh. Sadly, before they could get off at the destination stations they met with a deadly accident and breathed their last. It is said that there are 178 passengers alone on the Coromandel Express.

Odisha and West Bengal enjoy a good portion of the Telugu population. AP also has a Bengali population as the shore city Vizag is the home for many Bengali. AP people coming here and going to other state are onboard in the two trains.

A team of members from Andhra Pradesh reached the spot after the accident to offer help. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his shock over the incident and offered the required help in the tough time.

The mishap is believed to have happened when the Coromandel Express took the wrong track. Instead of the main track, the express train took the loop line. Its bogies were all over the place and the bogies resulted in a goods train and Howrah Express colliding. A few eyewitnesses recalled what happened and said that everything turned upside down all of a sudden and there were chaotic scenes all over.

The theatrical trailer came out a while back and it shows that the movie is going to be filled with fun, drama, action and a lot of glamour. There are a lot of twists in the movie and it is a fun-filled film that you can enjoy if you don’t mind the lack of logic. VJ Sunny and Saptagiri are best buddies who are in need of money. The villain is looking for his drug consignment which goes missing. Sunny and Saptagiri find them.

The plotline looks interesting but it is the fun parts that are borderline silly at times. Sapthagiri definitely makes his mark while Sunny is decent too. Bithiri Sathi, Shakalaka Shankar, Raghubabu, and the presence of several other comedians promise decent fun and we need to see if the execution is done in a correct manner or not.

While Rajith Rao is the producer, it is Bheems Ceciroleo who gave the music. Venu Muralidhar is the director of photography while Uddhav is the editor. This hilarious entertainer is expected to hit the screens on 9th June.

Leaked Video Creates Huge Hype On ‘Animal’!

Bollywood’s handsome hero Ranbir Kapoor has scored a good hit this year already with ‘Tu Jhooti Mai Makkar’. This romantic comedy was directed by Luv Ranjan while Shraddha Kapoor is the heroine in it. Now, the entire focus of his fans is on ‘Animal’ which is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Ranbir himself stated that it is the toughest role he played till date. This is coming from an actor who did movies like ‘Sanju’, ‘Rockstar’ and many complicated roles. The shooting was wrapped up in February and the post-production works are going on in full swing. This gangster drama has a lot of expectations on it.

The hype on this movie grew multifold as a video from the sets got leaked recently. Ranbir looked quite classy and suave as the lecturer in this clip and it has gone viral instantly. Not just these but other images of the talented actor from the sets of ‘Animal’ are making the fans go crazy.

This is Sandeep’s next movie after ‘Arjun Reddy’/’Kabir Singh’. The posters which came out till date got a terrific response and it is going to come out on 11th August. ‘Animal’ has Rashmika Mandanna playing the heroine’s role while Anil Kapoor will be seen as Ranbir’s father. Sandeep Reddy described it as a violent film and let us see how this movie turns out to be.

Deadliest Train Collision in Odisha: Hundreds Of Victims Dead!

Little do the passengers traveling in different trains know that they are going to face the biggest shock in their lives. Passengers on their destinations met with a deadly collision leaving more than 200 people dead and hundreds more injured. Authorities say that this is the biggest mishap in the recent past.

Going into details three trains collided with each other in Odisha’s Balasore. Three trains – Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, and a goods train rammed into each other leaving hundreds of passengers dead and injured.

The massive collusion happened with Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express losing the track. As a result, a few bogies got separated from the train and were all over the place. The bogies hit the Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express which in turn hit the goods train. This led to a massive collusion which is said to be the deadliest in the country in the past two decades.

The Trains rain in a way that if two trains are coming in the same way and if there is any issue then one train would be either stopped or will be asked to go fast as a safety measure. If this is not possible, the station master will change the track so that no unwanted scenes take place.

But something unexpected happened as the train lost the track leaving its bogies all over the place. This is not what can be cleared at the earliest. By the time the news went to the authorities’ notice, it created issues for two other trains.

Governments swung into action to rescue and special teams were called to the scene. Special numbers were provided for the information. The numbers are getting call after call as family members are worried about their loved ones.

As Bhogies and all over the place, it has become difficult to save the victims. Bogies are being removed to see if there are any victims trapped under them. The last bogie was also removed and the rescue work is underway,

But what grabbed everyone’s attention is the helping nature of the locals. Knowing that the accident happened, people gathered in big numbers to offer help. They donated blood voluntarily to help the victims.

Political Colour Being Added To ‘Adipurush’ Now!

Young Rebel Star Prabhas’s mythological drama ‘Adipurush’ which is directed by Om Raut is all set to hit the screens on 16th June. It is coming out in five languages and it was made on a grand budget promising a visual treat on the silver screen. There are high expectations on this movie and the business was exceptional too.

During the time of the teaser release, the movie makers faced a lot of criticism regarding showing Ramayan in a poor light. A lot of Hindu organizations expressed their concerns over the movie. The team worked on the film’s output for six more months and came up with the trailer which won the appreciation of everyone. The criticism and trolls were stopped for now.

But there are a few Hindi organizations who penned a note to the censor board asking that they need to see the film ahead of the release. On the other side, the pre-release event of ‘Adipurush’ will be held grandly in Tirupathi and SS Rajamouli will be arriving as the Chief Guest. Along with him, a few noted politicians from Andhra Pradesh will be attending the event too.

Also, the film’s producer Bhushan Kumar showed the trailer of ‘Adipurush’ to Himachal Pradesh’s CM Hemanth Kumar Biswas and Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra. As we know, it was Narottam Mishra who made some serious comments on the film during the teaser release.

The film’s unit is planning to put an end to all the controversy by showing the output to political personalities and also get some tax benefits if possible. It looks like a lot of political color is being added to ‘Adipurush’ now.

‘Bandaa’ Gets Theatrical Release After Coming Out In OTT First!

There are not many people who vividly used OTT platforms before the lockdown. But the coronavirus turned out to be a huge push for the digital streaming services as it became an integral part of everyone’s lives. People who couldn’t watch movies in theatres in the last three years turned towards OTT platforms and they got themselves exposed to content from all over the world. A lot of producers too decided to have direct digital releases in order to make good money. Now, these online streaming services are coming up with new releases every Friday just like theatres. The producers can happily come out with table profits and people are more welcoming to new content in OTT platforms than in theatres. One such film is Manoj Bajpayee’s ‘Bandaa’. This movie was released directly on a popular OTT platform and it is released in theatres later.

‘Bandaa’ released in theatres just one week after it was released on ZEE5. It created a new record by taking this route and Apoorva Singh Karki is the director of this film. It was released on 23rd May on ZEE5 and it is now getting good collections in theatres of Maharashtra.

The story is about a woman who tries to file a complaint on a famous Baba accusing him of sexually harassing her. No one believes her but a lawyer understands her and takes up her case. He fights not just for that girl but for many women who fell into the Baba’s trap. The case goes on for five years and what happens after that forms the rest of the story. As soon as the trailer was released, a renowned Ashram sent legal notices to the makers and it brought a lot of buzz on the movie. More than 200 million views came for this film in just a week.

Seasoned Actor’s Call Sheets Becoming A Problem For ‘Guntur Kaaram’!

The shooting of Superstar Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas’ action entertainer ‘Guntur Kaaram’ was supposed to begin in the first week of June. After completing a couple of schedules, the team took a long summer break and they planned everything to begin the production once again in the first week of June and continue non-stop till October.

Apparently, Mahesh insisted on wrapping up the entire shooting by October barring a son or two. The team is making arrangements to start the shooting on 7th June but the planned schedules in the last few months did not happen which resulted in a lot of call sheets getting canceled. Now, the team has to get new call sheets from everyone.

Being a Trivikram film, having big artists onboard is compulsory. The makers are trying to make that happen but it is seasoned actor Prakash Raj’s dates which are turning out to be a problem. ‘Guntur Kaaram’ team did not use the dates given by him earlier and he is now committed to other projects. Discussions are happening with Prakash Raj and his team at the moment as per sources. With Mahesh, Trivikram and Prakash Raj sharing a great bond over the last two decades, they are expected to find a solution soon.

Apparently, the team is planning to send some more advance money to the actor. After clearing everything, the movie is expected to go on floors from either 7th or 10 of June. While all this is happening, Mahesh is busy with a mobile advertisement shoot.
